Finally, the Sheikah managed to catch up with the Red Lantern.
"Abandoning us isn't going to do much good," he remarked. "Though I can somewhat understand your reasons for leaving."
"Tell me. Why did you attack Alice?" His voice was calm and yet guarded, trying to avoid anything that would aggravate the Lantern.

"Thanks..." Alice mumbled, landing beside Marisa and stowing her dolls away. Seconds later, the twins climbed out from the mysterious depths of her dress, blinking. It was something of a mystery why Alice hadn't been affected by the flashbang... unless you knew that she could direct her dolls to clean rooms in her house that she herself wasn't in, which implied that there was some sensory feedback from them. More than enough to conduct a safe landing, certainly.
A laugh which would sound familiar to all but the newcomers might cause them to notice that Shantotto was no longer standing where she had been earlier, in fact, she was now somehow standing on top of Kribnefka's house.
"As marvelously entertaining as that was, I think it might be time to clear up what I beleive to be simply culture clash. If, as this girl" she gestured vaguely in Marisa's direction, "said earlier to those who were paying attention, this 'Danmaku' style of magic she weilds is non-lethal, of course people from her world would quickly resort to violence, since there's no danger of anyone being turned to ash."
"So, you two, would you do us all a favour and save your energy for actual enemies? And beleive me, since you've been drafted into this strike force, you now share ours, and they're nothing at which to sneeze * ."
A society grows great when old men plant trees whose shade they know they will never sit in.Marisa watched as the red guy flew off and smacked some trees down. Huh. She shrugged, then turned back to fact the others. First, she turned to Alice.
"Are you okay, Ari-chan?" she asked. the guy had tried to kill her, after all.
"Okay, now what's going on?" she asked, pretty much blowing off the red guy's angry tree-slaughtering exit.
"We don't kill people, Shiho," Kaoru said, turning to her friend. "But we can very intentionally smash them into hard objects or other people if they're being big jerks!"
"Oh, dear. The toad, the monkey, and the dog have all screwed up."Atrocitus continued walking when he heard someone following him. Sensing it was Sheik, he stopped to allow him to catch up.
"That girl brought harm to an innocent!" the Red Lantern answered Sheik. "Her actions led to the maiming of a baby!! My actions were merely retaliation for what she did!"

DAMMIT MARK, STOP HITTING HELPY!!Flere-Imsaho's fields were growing greyer again. "Focus, people, focus. Spider Man, what are your abilities?" It asked. Meanwhile, it sent a comms to Robotboy: I know that these organics are hard to cope with, but we need you; you are one of the only sane beings around here. Also, I would value your insight.
On empty crossroads, seek the eclipse -- for when Sol and Lua align, the lost shall find their way home.Axl nodded at Robotboy as he approached. "Yeah, you're right. Sometimes I wonder if I've gone Maverick..."
Before he could continue, another girl came falling out of the sky, prompting the reploid to wonder half-jokingly if precipitation in the form of human females (with odd powers) was a common occurance in this realm. She immediately began talking about some inane drivel - he would never do that, at least in his opinion - and then something strange happened.
She began pulling everyone into a circle. Clawing at the earth and spitting venomous curses to no avail, Axl found himself in the circle. Glowering at Kaoru and everyone else whose bright idea it was to do this, he quickly found himself envying Robotboy. He really was one of the only sane ones. Axl would've followed suit, but he didn't want to harm anyone with the efflux of his leg jets. For now, though, he would settle for quietly glaring.
I am not going to reveal my damn life story to these guys, and if that crazy human tries to force me, then she's got another thing coming.
Locking you up on radar since '09Kaoru offered her friend a slightly disturbed, wide-eyed stare for a few moments. She liked Shiho, she really, really did. She was one of her best friends! But..
"You really scare me sometimes, Shiho."

"Oh, dear. The toad, the monkey, and the dog have all screwed up.""I'm fine, he stopped attacking after the barrier broke and he got hit from both sides," the magician assured Marisa, briefly checking her grimoire out of a nagging fear that the ribbons and locks keeping it shut might have come undone during the brief fight. As usual, there was no change but since when did that matter? It was much better to be certain that it was closed than avoid the irrational tic.
Hourai, for whatever reason, had colonised Marisa's hat in emulation of Shanghai's perch on Alice's, by now thoroughly messed up, hair and had started a staring contest with her sister. Considering neither of them needed to blink, it promised to be one that would carry on for quite some time.
"Umm... may we have your attention?" Asked Flere-Imsaho. It extended a field, and tapped both Shiho and Kaoru's shoulders. "I thought this was your idea?"
On empty crossroads, seek the eclipse -- for when Sol and Lua align, the lost shall find their way home.Sherlock sighs, and speaks to the group slightly exasperated, but still calm, "Seriously, you take the mildest of insults so very seriously. This sort of thing is exactly what I speak of when I call you people idiots." Sherlock rolls his eyes, and listens closely for any on coming attack that he now so expected whenever he opened his mouth.
Robotboy responded to the comms, sounding far more legible than his usual broken English.
I don't think that working with them is possible. They are arrogant and selfish, and cannot stop proclaiming their own superiority.
"I would assume that, if his name is any suggestion, that Spider-man does... Whatever a spider can, or something." Yumemi addressed the group. "And Mr. Holmes, if you do not learn to keep quiet and cooperate then I have a dunce cap with your name on it."
"Ahem... Well, as I said beforehand, I am Professor Yumemi Okazaki, and I am the greatest scientific mind in my world (even if they won't admit it). And during a research trip to the mythical land of Gensokyo, I was successfully able to reverse-engineer some of that wonderful force known as magic. It's rather complicated stuff that only someone who's closely studied both science and the occult would understand, so I'll leave the exact details to myself for the time being. Ahem."
"Al... Alright... S-sorry I snapped like that..." Lyna whimpered, holding onto Ayumu's arm for support. "It's just... I don't want to see everyone fighting like that. We're all supposed to be on the same side, aren't we?"
"Eh? Oh, right, uhh... you, robot guy! You should introduce yourself next," Kaoru said, gesturing to Axl next as she turned to face him. For the moment she was ignoring Sherlock.
"Alright, good," Marisa replied with a grin, adjusting her hat/Hourai a bit to a better angle. "Otherwise I would've had to track that jerk down and beat him up until he couldn't stand."
"Oh, dear. The toad, the monkey, and the dog have all screwed up."Sheik seemed to consider a response for a moment, before finally speaking. "Firstly, I can hardly say that Kribnefka counts as an infant, no matter what his physical age might be."
"With full possession of his mental faculties, he tried to stop the conflict and thus tackled the doll, which promptly exploded." He raised a querying eyebrow.
"Did you think that anything less would have resulted from such a maneuver?"
"Also, did not Marisa say to you earlier that both her and her friend's spells were non-lethal?
I know. And yet, these are the people we have to work with, if we are to retrieve Sifuri; I doubt we have much choice. Still, I value your opinion, even if those meatbrains don't. If you do not want to be physically present, perhaps you can use me as a relay, to express your opinions, and to hear the debate? The drone asked Robotboy through the comms.
On empty crossroads, seek the eclipse -- for when Sol and Lua align, the lost shall find their way home.Sherlock took a deep breath before speaking to the Professor in a calm tone, "In case you, like so many other people, haven't noticed, I am cooperating, no matter how stupid I feel this to be, I am playing along and doing what I am told, and how am I treated for it? With anger and hatred! Honestly, you people baffle me."

"Atrocit -"
Sheik sighed. "Why don't the rest of you get on with the introductions?"
"I'll be back." With that, he ran off after the Red Lantern.
So much conflict... and all of it stems from a misunderstanding...
