Doctor Horrible had no idea what to say to all the stuff happening around him, though he had to admit, Sec's technological skills were very impressive. Turning a giant robot into a little girl? Billy had no idea how to react to it...

Moja, once again, noded safely as the enormous red-skinned Ryutian asked him about the identity of Chhah; the Nomad who the groups had clashed with only a few hours before. Motioning for Atrocitus to follow him, he stepped outside into the small terrace, the strange alien plants shimmering in the abundant light as he walked slowly through the pathway- had it grown slightly since the group had last visited it, the strange alien trees larger and healthier, the pathway larger and spiralling?. "Chhah..." he mused softly to himself, rubbing his smooth, bald head meditatively as he closed his eyes.

"Atrocitus," he said, finally, "you must understand that as a species we have changed much since the war. Our bodies, our beings, our names; there was simply too much pain that the old ways brought." Once again, the sepuchlral tones of the being seemed distant, faraway, remembering times gone by. He closed his eyes and sighed again, the effulgesence of his body fading slightly as memories of bygone days, of violence and bloodshed, played out briefly, before he returned to the present.

"I am old." The statement was soft, but the wistful loss in his voice was obvious. "There are many things I do not remember. There are many things that all Nomads have forgotten; sometimes by the weight of years, but just as often by choice. Perhaps I once knew Chhah: perhaps we once fought on the same side, or even as enemies."

"...As for the other group," he said with a great deal more concern. "They were not native to that world, but I am sure you can figure that out. Like you, they appear to have been gathered from across the multiverse; unlike you, they did not appear to recognize the ship for what it was, and seemed to focus on killing Chhah. If they are a third rival group vying for control of Sifuri, then they are clearly in the dark about how to properly obtain it, if -and this is the more likely option- they are a team of hunters assigned to track down and kill Nomads, they appear to have been extremely well-picked and coordinated to take down a Nomad, even one as weak and insane as he."

Atrocitus pondered about this news. Moja did know who that crazed Nomad was. Having forgotten why he knew the deceased so to the Ryutian just how old these Nomads are.....or simply how traumatic that ancient war was and/or how mentally unstable they were, but such thinking as pointless at this juncture.

The implication that someone is hiring people to kill off Nomads was proven. Atrocitus also unfortunately had to agree that this mystery villain was smart enough to choose whom exactly to be up to the task......as well as smart enough to choose a group very likely to implode on itself just when they would be no longer useful. ANY villainous team-up involving both such an arrogant bastard like Sauron, too deluded by his power and ego to see threat when he sees it, and the Joker was bound to break down eventually. The Red lantern had no worry about that group for the time being. He hoped they continued to be ignorant of Sifuri and its potential. If not.......

"Thank you for the information," he said to the Nomad. The Red Lantern then took his leave, heading back to the library. He needed to tell Sheik this new information, even if it meant confirming mere suspicions. But first, he felt it prudent to look for a certain purple unicorn pony......

Twilight Sparkle was, in the grand scheme of things, not a happy pony. She hadn't been for quite a while.

They had succeeded in their task, true, but that was hardly comforting to the young pony. She had emerged from the portal soaking wet, her mane hanging down in front of her eyes. A conjured towel had cleaned that right up, but it had done nothing to improve her mood. She had nearly killed. Nearly, of course, being the operative term, but that was hardly relevant. She had snapped and lashed out at him. It didn't matter what he'd done, reprehensible as it may have been at least he had some kind of excuse. Were they really that different? They had both sought justice, though for two different crimes, and they had taken similar routes to achieve it.

She shook off the thought despite contemplating it, even briefly, she would do no such thing. Nopony should have to sink that low. But that was the thing. Back in the trench, there was something there, something spine-chillingly familiar. She couldn't place it, but it was there, in her thoughts, whispering. It was only now that she noticed it and by now it was too late. Oh, and how she longed for something familiar. She wanted to run over rolling hills and green grasses, to feel the warmth of her hearth and of her friends packed so closely together. She wanted to see Celestia's sun bearing down on her, to feel the chill of Luna's night overtaking the day. She wanted to see Equestria again, if only for one last time.

She wanted to go home.

Thankfully, Moja quickly derailed her train of thought. His exposition on the next mission was certainly not unwelcome. At the very least, she'd have time to prepare. Although she had a serviceable human disguise at the ready, something told her that it was in dire need of some updating. Maybe she was merely uncomfortable with using the body of a child. Something a bit more mature was in order, that was for sure.

But that could wait. Kribnefka was calling her, a mace held firmly in his clawed hands. She approached him, her head hanging low, ad our expression fixed on her face. "Yes?" She asked, her voice almost rivaling Fluttershy's in terms of volume.

He then eyed a sentient horse... No, this was too small to be a horse. A pony perhaps? It looked almost like a unicorn. "Hm... Very interesting choice of characters, Moja..." Leanbow said.

"Twilight, you asked about my godhood earlier. Out of respect for your actions over the past days, I offer you further knowledge of the magic of my world. A god's powers stem from his portfolio, mine being Deception, Peace, Negotiation, and Celebration. These grant me powerful spells, and I will outline their purpose."

He drew up an illusion and began speaking. There was a square, showing various points. Kribnefka was firmly at the top and right. Other faces, goblins, orcs, humans, unicorns, even other dragons popped up at various points on the illusory graph.

"A God can draw power from their alignment along the scales of Good vs. Evil and Stagnation vs. Anarchy. I believe the world should change, but only for the benefit of all its inhabitants. I believe that should a government serves its people, and when it ceases to do so, it should be removed or changed. Thus, I am a creature of Chaos."

"As I said, however, I also act for the greater good. I believe it is every sentient's duty to advance the world towards a happier future for themselves and their kin, and thus I am a creature of Good."

The illusion was replaced by the image of Kribnefka talking to a large and angry red dragon, in a disarmingly calm pose.

"To do this, I must sometimes be dishonest. I am good at this, I will not lie. However, I prefer to tell the truth. When the truth will not lead to a favorable outcome for either party, such as being faced with an orc band who wishes to kill you, it becomes necessary to mislead them, lest you risk their life and your own. I am, indeed, quite good at this Trickery."

The image switched to him having a conversation with various creatures in different locales.

"However, trickery can only get you so far, and it is not to be used on friends or allies. For this, a kind word at the right time can greatly affect their mood and their opinion of you. When possible, I use this to avoid having to resort to trickery. The ability to charm others gets you far in life."

The image switched again to a bustling town square with various species and races running about their business. Orcs at stalls hawked their wares, spellcasters ran along with their books, and walking skeletons moved about picking up garbage.

"All these, in the end, serve one purpose: The community between the creatures of my homeworld I helped to create. Because of my charm, kobolds and dwarves work alongside one another. Orcs have a homeland because of a simple lie. Fighting is only done in the spirit of competition, or petty squabbles. Dragons share our arcane knowledge with the world. Even the Aboleth, who once hated all who dwelled upon the land, have joined in this peace after a tremendous celebration which spanned a nation. This is the dream I have realized, and the dream I wish to spread to other worlds."

The illusion vanished and Krib grinned at Twilight.

"So tell me, Twilight Sparkle, student of Celestia, Librarian of Ponyville: Which of these statements do you agree with?"

The Princess turned to Atrocitus at his words, smiling kindly at him before settling down, a discerning, thoughtful light in her eyes.

"What is it?" she asked softly in her wise, melodious voice.

Mentally, she prepared herself for any unexpected news. Something regarding the third party on that mission, perhaps, or the strange, godlike beings they had been encountering?

Both?

Atrocitus quickly looked around and then guided Zelda is a more secluded part of library. Then he spoke in a near whisper. "The name of the being who connected himself directly into the ship piece was named Chhah," he started, "but besides that, Moja only knows he knew the madman previously before. He also confirmed my suspicions that someone else sent that group of villains down there with us but only to kill this Chhah. I doubt they even know about Sifuri. That is fortunate, considering the bastards who make up that group."

Twilight watched as Kribnefka gave his presentation, occasionally giving a small nod of understanding. Gods, in his world, seemed to function much differently than she had imagined. Power drawn from such abstract concepts, rather than something that could be seen and felt, was strange but nothing new to her. The key to Discord's release had been a simple argument, or so she'd heard. The unicorn almost shuddered at the thought. Discord had been... difficult. More than difficult. Nearly impossible, in fact. There had been those brief moment, those last minutes when all seemed lost and her friends had turned against her. She had been in his grip then, and it was only by Celestia's intervention that she had been freed. The memory of it still managed to send a chill down her spine.

She pushed these ramblings aside and focused her attention back on the dragon's presentation. The first image he showed was strange, she admitted. To see such a complex thing as morality broken down so simply was an odd thing indeed. Still, it was comforting to see that Kribnefka stood firmly on the side of a greater good. Especially since it seemed he also laid on the Chaos end of the scale, which managed to unnerve her a little bit. Her last experience with a chaotic being had been less than pleasant and the scholar definitely didn't want a repeat. Too much a stake already without having something like that intervene.

Trickery seemed a promising concept, though not one that Twilight would prove to be any good at. her talents lay in the arcane and in knowledge. She was no conjurer of cheap tricks or a silver-tongued salesmare and in her life she had only had to lie a few times, usually about the cause of some less than optimal experiment results back in Canterlot. But that was behind her now. She had been young and inexperienced. Now she only blew up her chemistry equipment once, maybe twice in a week.

The next image brought up a mostly neutral reaction with Twilight. Negotiation and diplomacy were things that she valued greatly, true, but but they didn't seem like anything worth divine notice. She'd never exactly been good with people, either, and charm seemed more like something that Rarity would put to use than her.

The last concept, however, was something that intrigued her greatly. All peoples, of all races and creeds from around the world, banding together under the banner of a common cause or simple camaraderie. That was something she could get behind. It was, after all, the whole point of her studies. Community, friendship, the same thing on different scales. There was power in such things, that much she was certain of. There was something that brought ponies together, a power that could forge nations and bring down gods. She had seen it, she had felt it, and there was no doubt in her mind that any god who held that sort of thing above all else was one worth allying with.

As the presentation came to a close, Twilight cocked her head at Kribnefka's question, like a curious puppy. What was the point of this? Was it some test of character or measure of loyalty? Perhaps, but it seemed he trusted her enough already, and in fact that was the reason why they were discussing this now. Motivations aside, she would comply. She mulled over it for a few moments, running through the possibilities in her head, before making her decision. "Community is a valuable thing, and there's no greater unifier than a common Good." She said simply, her mind made up.

Kribnefka gave Twilight the mace as a new power flowed into her. Kribnefka smiled.

"Then I grant you the powers of my Clerics. You now have access to the spells granted by the domains you have chosen, Community and Good, as well as the powers of any cleric. From the Community domain, you will be able to calm the emotions of others once a day, and from the Good domain, your spells which... Twilight took the mace with her magic, levitating it before her as she observed it with an inquisitive eye. While the gift was most definitely appreciated, she hadn't the slightest idea why Kribnefka had given her the weapon in the first place. Perhaps it was some manner of sacred weapon. he had, after all, made her a disciple of his practices, it would only be fitting the she be given the weapon of his faith along with the tools. While she was reluctant to use it, it would be valuable as an emergency weapon. In case, she ever really needed it, and with any luck she wouldn't. But judging by what had happened to her in the last few days*

, luck was obviously not on her side. She let the mace float on her right and turned her eyes back up towards Kribnefka.

There was a new power within her, something that burned and pulsed in her chest like some internal fire, something so similar and yet so far apart from her normal magics. There was something inherently comforting about the sensation, as if she was homeward bound once again, like she was among friends now. A small smile spread across the unicorn's face a the thought. "Thank you very much, Kribnefka. I promise, I'll use this power as best I can. I'm... well, honestly I'm not sure how I could repay you for this."

Krib waved dismissively.

"I'll tell you what. Do your best, help others in this little excursion, and maybe help me figure out how I'm going to explain to Ornrasvim why I've been missing, and I'll call it even. I don't want to see her angry. ...you know, maybe I should go bring Spot out to play, he's been such a good boy putting up with all this..."

He went into the mansion and returned just a bit later walking next to an elephant-sized creature with milky green eyes and three dangling tentacles around its mouth, a stinger-like tail, and four legs ending in a single claw. Kribnefka was smiling and scratching at the base of the creature's tentacles.

"Who's a good boy? You're a good boy!"

The creature's response was a horrible, gurgling shriek.

Zelda pondered Atrocitus' words, a slightly troubled look coming to her bright blue eyes as she looked down.

"That group… was sent to kill Cchah? The god?” she murmured.

This was good… and yet terrible in a way. From what she had seen of those dark beings and their dreadful might, even Ganon himself might have trouble taking the greater ones down... and something was using them to slay gods.

It was a relief to know that they were not after Sifuri too, and yet...

She had been holding on to the wild hope that Moja and their rivals’ employer were the only two cosmic entities to have bothered with this whole multiversal affair. That no more people had been taken save their own, that no more calamities faced reality than the one that they were trying to prevent. It seemed she had been wrong after all…

With a soft sigh, the Princess looked back up at the Ryutian. “It is as I feared, then,” she stated quietly, resigned acceptance in her demure voice. “There are other forces at work in this plot, other threads in this tale.”

“The cosmos is in more danger than we thought. The burden does not rest on our shoulders alone, nor does it lie solely in the retrieval of Sifuri. This is grave news… for who knows what other poor souls have been swept up in this scheme? For it may be that the fate of all worlds lies in their hands, too…”

A sudden thought struck her, and she fell silent. She had been taken as one selected for a purpose, Moja had said. Because of her talents. If this was indeed so, and if the other forces involved in this plot had similar views…

…Could each of the Three Bearers have been taken, too? All of them?

Click, click. Click, click. Ratheln's staff knocked on the library's floor as he walked through it, observing the tomes on the shelves, every once in a while stopping to take one out and read a little before putting it back into its place. His mind went back to his encounter with those three magi, the three girl — no older than fifteen, he guessed — that were nonetheless very powerful. Their schadenfreude disturbed him, especially since they were so young....
From the Materials his mind went back to Karrag. He glimpsed the Lich there, and it worried him greatly. He was sure that Aiglondur and his friends destroyed the Lich a few years ago, and yet he was up and about as though nothing really happened yet. The mere thought of the omnicidal Lich wandering the multiverse sent shivers down his spine. And in the company of such powerful magi... Resolutely, he pushed them from his mind. There was nothing he could do about them; he'd better worry about this Sifuri weapon.
And so the Silver Mage wandered the library, worrying and thinking, until he chanced upon Zelda and Atrocious. Quietly, he lifted his hand in greeting.

Atrocitus grimly nodded in response to Zelda's first question. "Other than these threads being woven by beings of the same ancient, I really do hope these threads will only cross via coincidence," he said. "If anyone else have the same misfortune of being thrust into a situation similar to ours and that group of villains, I wish whomever took them at least explained the situation in detail. Worse case is that they are blindly thrown in random scenarios and figure out everything from there, but I hope the Ancient that took isn't that stupid.

"For now though, we must keep this information a secret as long as possible," the Red Lantern continued. "Some of the more trigger happy and impatient members of our group might attack Moja prematurely, and I do not want his blood to be spilt until we know for certain of his goals. Furthermore, we must plan in case - "

The Ryutian stopped speaking when he noticed Ratheln approaching the two of them. "We shall talk more later," he quickly whispered to Zelda before turning attention back to Ratheln. "You must be Ratheln, correct?" the Red Lantern greeted. "I only heard of your name in passing, and I apologize for not speaking with you earlier."
