Okay, I'll bite. Haven't RP'ed in a few years... Did play Prince of Qin once, and I do know a bit about the period, so here goes.

  • Name: Wu Ming Zhe (lit. "Nameless")
  • Gender: Male.
  • Age: Mid-40s.
  • Abilities:
    • "As long as the green hills remain, there will always be firewood." Ming Zhe can light any flammable object by touch. The larger the flame, the harder it is to control, so he's usually limited to a small fire... but he's perfectly capable of immolating people as a last resort.
    • "They have eyes but do not see Mount Tai." People and animals will completely ignore Ming Zhe as long as he doesn't do anything to stand out or attract attention. It's not that they don't see him, but their minds simply register his presence as an unremarkable background event.
    • "Know yourself, know your enemy; a hundred battles, a hundred victories." Ming Zhe has an uncanny ability to second-guess a person's actions based on past encounters, as long as he has sufficient time to analyse the situation.
    • Generally avoids fighting as far as possible, but is reasonably proficient with using a staff - although not to the extent of a skilled weapons master. Has otherwise average physical fitness.
  • Appearance: A Han Chinese male of middle age. Average build, black hair, black eyes, and absolutely no distinguishing characteristics to draw attention to himself.
  • Backstory: Previously a young scholar of no repute, Ming Zhe was one of the lucky few who escaped the book-burning and scholar-burying pogrom of the First Emperor (thanks in part to his abilities manifesting at the time). He later joined up with Liu Bang and Xiang Yu during their insurrection, but took the side of Liu Bang during the Chu-Han contention, feeling that Xiang Yu could not have had the Mandate of Heaven after his massacre of Qin troops at the Battle of Julu. But now he wonders if Liu Bang, too, is worthy of becoming Emperor...
  • Personality: Quiet, analytical and introspective, Ming Zhe dislikes war and avoids direct conflict as far as possible: he believes in Sun Zi's statement that the best battle is the one won without fighting. Of course, this just means that he is not above using underhanded methods to stave off the inevitable civil war.

@ Nick: Unfortunately, your second character is denied. His core gimmick is being a reality warper at its finest, something that gamebreaking doesn't even begin to describe and is borderline impossible to nerf.

@ Pyrite: Excellent. Accepted with open arms.

Figured we at least needed one Chinese character in the cast. tongue (And for those who might ask, this character is based on The Art Of War - not just the philosophy and tactics, but also more directly from the chapters concerning the use of fire and spies.)

Alright, I'll come up with a different power.
