The Underland Chronicles by Suzanne Collins which by the way were far better than The Hunger Games by the same author.
Really I can't help but wonder what the art direction for Regalia would look like, and man seeing the giant bats in CGI would really be something,....if they don't reach Uncanny Valley. It's amazing how one series is so hyped and the other so forgotten.
Also Enders Game, not sure if it's in the works right now,I know it once was but I still wish it would happen.
Black Lagoon, directed by either Quentin Tarantino or Michael Bay.
Continuously reading, studying, and (hopefully) growing.Artemis fucking Fowl...and the Bartimeaus trilogy. God how I would love to see both of those done well, especially old Bart. I work behind the customer service desk at a grocery store and a running joke with a few of my "nerdier" customers is if they win a Powerball jackpot we will buy the film rights to one of those books series.
You will never love a women as much as George Lucas hates his fans.Cry Wolf
would make a good movie, esp the last few chapters. Actually any Mercedes Thompson book would make a good movie.
Ender's Game is to start filming early next year. The only known things so far is that the director of Wolverine is doing it.
More Buscemi at http://forum.reelsociety.com/I'm still a little bit in denial that the film adaptation of Charles Burns' 'Black Hole' directed by Alexandre Aja and written by Neil Gaiman and Roger Avary is never going to happen. The fact that there is a Gaiman/Avary script out there somewhere haunts me. Yes, there was a webseries mini adaptation but 'Black Hole' should so be a fucking movie, dammit.
I would like to see an adaptation of Zelda. When I saw that April Fools https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HBCzkz3gHb8
one years ago, I was so disappointed - not because it was fake, but that everything about it seemed so generic and cliche. It made me think of a copy of "Lord of the Rings", but instead of a terrifying armored villain the hero fights an oversized oompa-loompa with anger management issues. Also Link didn't have that shy, rather aloof, non-talkative demeanor that I came to appreciate so much, he seemed like one of those brash, joking up-in-front heroes I keep seeing over and over in American movies. And another thing (bitch whining here) why do the heroes HAVE TO LOOK LIKE CAUCASIONS. I'm obviously not saying that the hylians are asian, but they seem to fit into their own racial category.
Respect the Red Right Hand
Peter David's Supergirl. Even if they cut the ties to the rest of the DCU or even the Supergirl name, it has what could make for an awesome movie with the right director and cast.
I've just read vol. 1 of Morning Glories. If it's not going to be a TV show (or an anime, perhaps), it really needs to be a movie or series of movies.
Flora Segunda | World Made By Hand | Monster Blood Tattoo ^You should read these series. The Thrawn Trilogy, with someone really good for Thrawn (I'd suggest Christopher Lee, but he played Dooku...although come to think of it he could also pull off a very good C'baoth).
It's obviously impossible, since the original Star Wars actors are too old and audiences wouldn't tolerate someone else playing the original characters, but I think it would make an amazing movie. Or a one-season TV series, considering how full the plot is.

Respect the Red Right Hand
I always imagined Thrawn as sort of ageless. No need for any complicated computer stuff, just a good makeup artists (which you'd need anyway because, y'know, blue).
EDIT: Wait, you mean you think they could have the original actors play the characters and then project the original-aged characters over them? Like in Avatar, but with actual younger people rather than blue aliens?
Because if that's possible, it would be insanely cool. It is really expensive?

Respect the Red Right Hand
Tron Legacy did it on Jeff Bridges and Bruce Boxleitner, I'm unsure how expensive it is, but given this would be the draw of Star Wars, classic era, any studio that could do so would do anything in its power given the immense returns it could generate.

^^Ian Mc Kellen is so obviously C'Boath. Derek Jacobi for Pellaeon? Hugo Weaving might make a good Thrawn. George Clooney or Nathan Fillion, as Talon Karrde.
"Weird doors open. People fall into things."Codex Alera. It would essentially be Lord Of The Rings With Elemental Magic. Not to mention the usual problem with child actors growing up too fast between movies would actually help with this one, since the kid in question actually does grow up faster than everyone expects him to.

LOVE all of those. Hugo Weaving could do an awesome Thrawn, though Kevin Bacon could possibly be pretty neat as well.
After re-reading all the Shannara books I would now like to see that trilogy get made into films, especially Elfstones/Wishsong.
You will never love a women as much as George Lucas hates his fans.

More specific than the other threads like it. This is strictly for pieces of fiction that you would like to see adapted to the silver screen.
