  1. What do you mean by "Bass Music"? Miami Bass? Dubstep? Drum 'n' Bass?
  2. Newbie thread is in Yack Fest.

1)By bass music i'm just trying to categorise all the new music which is coming out recently, mainly in the UK, though it doesn't really have a unifying feature I'd suppose it was closest to house music with more sub bass if I had to make a comparison to something.

It is mainly former dubstep producers who are fed up with the whole wobbly mess that genre has become and dropping the tempo to about 132 bpm and making some great music

just wondering if anyone else on the internet was a a fan :D

take a listen :D

You mean Post-Dubstep?

And I personally prefer a "Wobbly Mess".

I kind of like Scuba's Triangulation. He manages to be less boring than Burial, I'll give him that.

I don't hate Burial. His music sounds incredibly plain to me, that's all. I hear nil of the purported atmosphere in it.

Can't say I've heard of them, is that a good thing?

Four Tet and the XX went to my school too, obviously I'm next in the line for atmospheric dance music production greatness grin

Funny, I've always heard this term used for the music made by Brainfeeder and similar artists...

The term in the thread title is wrong, problem is that this subgenre has no "real" name yet.

And as long as we're on Brainfeeder, EVERYONE SHOULD LISTEN TO DAEDELUS.

How did we get to Daedelus? Doesn't he make instrumental hip-hop?

[up] Oh my god, I love this thread. I love you.

I just got Glass Swords by Rustie and Severant by Kuedo.

They're crazy awesome super good.

Also, name wise, I hear "future garage" a lot and I like it a lot better than "post-dubstep" (ew).

We must move forward, not backward. Upward, not forward. And always twirling, twirling, twirling towards freedom.
