"Who are you?"
"You'll be finding out very soon."
"Not again... last time I was snogging her one minute and getting killed by her the next, or vice versa from her viewpoint."
"No, not like that. Let's just say things are about to get hard, and I'm here to help."
Or maybe we don't know who the person is till we hit a Wham Line where 11 finds out the person helping him and 10 is 12.
If you don't want it to sound like another River person-from-my-future-is-coming-onto-me sitaution, I'd advise against that specific choice of words.

Yeah, I agree.
It's a Timey Wimey situation for Twelve as he has to make sure 11 does things right so he can exist.
I don't really mind it sounding riverish. Since the Doctor will know about that and that's what he would be suspecting. He'd never see future Doctor coming especially if future Doctor was a woman.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersThat ಠ_ಠ was for the double entendre. I meant for the first bit to sound Riverish, as you can tell by Eleven's response.

Nice to know someone realised what I meant.
Anyway, here's a plot for you: Man (Time Lord) comes up to the Doctor to help him out, claiming to be a future Doctor.
After a significant amount of the episode passes, we get the big reveal: It's not a new regeneration of the Doctor. It's a new regeneration of the Master.

I like that! But why would the Master help the Doctor? Enemy Mine?
Traditions are made to be broken. And referenced for continuity nods. And upheld. Traditions can do lots of things but I wouldn't mind a female Doctor eventually.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersHe probably wouldn't shoot lightning out of his hands. I get the feeling that RTD played a lot of Infamous before writing that episode.

Forever liveblogging the Avengers"Yeah, we're going to 1270 on Mars. Its an obscure time period. Not a lot of people go there."
Forever liveblogging the Avengers"And this, [COMPANION] is my favourite place in all of time and space. I like it because no one else likes it."
[All the other Doctors come on scene saying a variation of the exact same line, replacing the "because no one else likes it" with something more in-character.]
"... Well bugger."
[Cue title theme]

"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."

Classic Who Doctors isn't going to happen.
What I would prefer is 10, 11, and the 12th Doctor go on an adventure with each other, like The Next Doctor, only it really is the 12th Doctor.
And at the end of the episode we see Eleven regenerate into 12.
