A group stood in front of the open hole in the side of the building peering in about what was going on.
'A think was golem. Its probably rampaging there right now.'
'No, no, the police took it. Besides, it was just a miscast spell.'
'You're both wrong! It was a dragon! I know! I saw it!'
"Shut up Cameo.'
They quickly disperse as a loud TWEEEE echoes out the opening.
A crashing sound can be heard to the side of the building as pieces of the fire escape hit the ground.

Arianne leapt back when the Imp laughed, slapping her hands over her ears. In front of her, the man dropped the flashlight, sending the room into complete darkness. Her heart began to race as she groped around in the dark. She couldn’t see a thing, and heard nothing besides the man cursing on the ground.
TWEEEEEE
She jumped again. Her harmonica! The damn thing took it! She angrily kicked in the direction the tune came from, knowing it wouldn’t have any effect. She crouched down and pulled out her flute again. Not like they really had to be quiet anymore. She roughly faced the man’s direction, although it was too dark for her to see what he was doing.
Maybe we should just make a break for it? Run across the room to the stairs? We clearly can't fight it.
Oh, such a show off Rosette thought as she saw the werewolf making his way gracefully to the ground. Not that she wasn't impressed but she would die before admitting such a thing.
Finally, Rosette got close enough to the ground to simply let go and land on her feet, instantly dispelling the black shadow from her arms.
"Very well now..." The girl started until she heard a series of weird noises "What was that?"
Kenneth tore a piece of fabric from his jacket and wrapped it around his hand, wincing as he did so. "Agreed." I can make a new harmonica after we get through this. It's the least I can do. He leaned back and grabbed in the direction of her tune, eventually catching his hand on some clothing. He pulled her toward where he thought the stairs were.
Yeah, I can kinda see them. They're right around here.
Give the world the best you have and you will get kicked in the teeth. Give the world the best you have anyway.Matthew decided that this meant something was going on in there. He ran back a distance away from the crowd and conjured a large sword, jumped on to it, and then used a flight spell to lift himself up, using the sword like a board.
He tried to go up to get a better look before going in.

The imp was caught by Arianne's foot and was knocked a few feet across the room, only to land in the shadows. The harmonica left behind where landed.
The imp appeared again, in front of her this time. It looked at her with luminescent eyes, almost as bright as the flashlight. It flashed a smile at her. All sharp teeth from ear to ear.
It went to sink into the dark again, but a ring of light suddenly formed around it. A shining circle above and below it with elaborate symbols formed from the ether. The imp waved and laughed as the two circles closed in on it, leaving nothing behind save for a card lying on the ground and a bright flash of light.

Lukos raised his head in the air, and started to sniff around. He quickly picked up the faint scents of two people inside of the building, and another using magic somewhere. Though, there was the scent of another creature... A Shadow Imp. Lukos quickly gave a small chuckle to himself, thinking about the misfortune the poor souls are probably having thanks to the Shadow Imp. Suddenly, the imp's scent dwindled greatly, almost as if it itself wasn't there anymore.
"Humans probably..." said Lukos as he turned towards Rosette, "Doing some mischief no doubt. Shall we check it out?"

"What the hell are you doing?" "I'm playing a role, sir, what are you doing?""Of course, I am a Lycan after all!"
Lukos got on all fours, and dove under Rosette's legs, lifting her up onto his back. Sniffing around, with Rosette riding on his back, Lukos quickly discovered an unusual hole in the wall, as if it were made in a rush, and definitely not made by man-made tools.
"I think we've found our way inside... should we just go ahead and enter?"
"What the hell are you doing?" "I'm playing a role, sir, what are you doing?"Lukos gives off a small yelp as Rosette kicks his flanks. He looks up, gives off a short bark from instincts, and dashes inside the building.
Looking around, Lukos noticed the various arcade games, and staircase. Giving off another small bark, he dashed towards the stairs, but suddenly stops. With his canine eyes, he sees two figures running towards it, but that's not what has gotten his attention.
A special scent, one that he remembers oh too well, fills his nostrils. The smell of blood. Suddenly feeling hungry, and a sudden natural urge to hunt something, Lukos' primal Lycan instincts start to kick in. Standing on his hind legs, he knocks Rosette off of him. Giving off a rather loud howl, Lukos sets his eyes on the two figures.
"What the hell are you doing?" "I'm playing a role, sir, what are you doing?"Lukos hears the girl's voice behind him, and quickly turns his head, and gives off a rather loud growl in response. He barely recognizes the girl, and, through clutching teeth, he mutters, "Stop me... NOW!"
His last word ends with a sharp bark. Instead of standing there, his animal instincts, now increased due to him being in his Lycan form, take control and he turns back towards the two figures. He gets on all fours and jumps into the shadows, away from Rosette, and now stalking the figure he smelled blood from.
"What the hell are you doing?" "I'm playing a role, sir, what are you doing?"Kenneth can barely see in the darkness, but he distinctly hears two people speaking, then a loud bark.
"That's no Shadow Imp..." he whispers to his female companion.
Time to defend ourselves. He places his hands on the floor. Tile. Likely concrete underneath. Excellent.
He concentrates. Spikes...Can't overdo it, though. I'm fightin' blind here and I don't want to impale the young lady with me. I'll just put them in front of me.
After a few moments and a bright flash, Kenneth creates several large spikes in front of him, jutting up from the floor. It's not much... But it'll but me some time. He reached into his backpack and tried to find enough metal to create a crude sword or knife.
Give the world the best you have and you will get kicked in the teeth. Give the world the best you have anyway."... Oh this is going to be ugly..."
The girl broke immediately into a run and taking advantage of the mostly straight path ahead of her closed her eyes as she forced the shadows to cover her eyes. She liked this change the least of all she had tried to date. Sure, the effects were awesome...
But the feeling of the shadow surrounding her eyes... pressuring them from all sides until she could feel a slight pop as it broke in and changed them utterly into their new form...
Needless to say, the first time she had screamed until her parents had found and hugged her for a good while. Now however... Well she knew what to expect.
Soon enough the shadows left her face... and Rosette opened golden colored cat eyes with a narrow black slit which promptly opened up to allow her to see in the near darkness of the arcade. The colors were strange as seen through cat eyes, but the trade off of being able to see in the low light setting more than made up for it.
So, the young woman was able to keep chasing the werewolf, shifting her arms once again to their ape form... though this time of a gorilla. She intended to tackle her new friend and try to keep him restrained with those.
Lukos sees the bright flash, and as he does, he sees the a boy creating spikes. Turning his head, he sees Rosette charging at him. Lukos crouches, then jumps towards Rosette. Using his hind legs, he press down on her shoulders, and hops onto the ceiling, holding himself up with his claws.
Growling, Lukos stares at the two figures and Rosette, watching to see who makes the first move against him.
"What the hell are you doing?" "I'm playing a role, sir, what are you doing?""Lukos! What has gotten into you?" Rosette demands, crossing her new massive arms as she stared at the werewolf on the ceiling. The thought that the wolf might attack her did cross her thoughts... but if such a thing happened she counted on her new strength to at least be able to fend him off for a while.

Arianne turned towards the in the direction of the growl. It didn’t sound like the imp, who had just disappeared in a flash of light. In the brief moment the room was illuminated, she thought she saw it drop a card and her harmonica. Now wasn’t the time to go groping in the dark, though.
She was getting a bit tired of using her flute today. And since the harmonica was out of reach, she removed her guitar case from her shoulders. As the man created spikes from the concrete floor, Arianne stepped away from him so she could remove her guitar.
After slipping the guitar strap over her shoulders, she tried to tune her acoustic as quickly and accurately as she could. It sounded like they still had a few moments before whoever was outside reached them. Just as she finished, two large figures charge in, one chasing after the other. The first leapt off the second and jumped to the ceiling.
Arianne frowned, as a standoff began. Maybe it would be best to keep those two fighting each other. Keep them distracted. The one on the ground referred to the ceiling one as "Lukos". She began to play a few simple chords, focusing on the large, vaguely ape shaped figure on the ground.
You don’t want to fight us, do you? Shouldn’t you be worried about Lukos up there? He basically attacked you! He might do it again...

Rosette suddenly felt the way in which she saw the situation changing... As a music she barely registered in her consciousness played its magic on the girl she shifted her posture, retreating a single step back towards the two unknown people behind her.
Lukos was acting erratically... and he was a werewolf. Those people could be in real trouble soon and she better be between them and her new friend if he could not contain himself.
Rosette uncrossed her gorilla arms and stared straight at Lukos without blinking even once... She could not just count on the man to stop himself. If he attacked she would be ready to intercept him.

Lukos looked down at Rosette, who was looking as if she would attack him, then back at the two figures. He started to here music playing, and began to get irritated. His prey dared to mock him by playing music? Lukos, ignoring Rosette and the other figure, quickly hopped off of the ceiling and landed in front of the music player. His crimson red eyes glowed brightly as he stood on his hind legs, towering over the woman holding onto a guitar before him.
He felt himself being impaled by a few spikes, but he quickly tore at them with his special claws, shattering them and ripping them from the floor. Trying to tolerate his extreme pain, the bloodied Lukos bent down in front of the woman's face, and gave off a loud roar, splattering saliva all over her.

"What the hell are you doing?" "I'm playing a role, sir, what are you doing?"... And Rosette moved immediately to counter the threat of the wolfman. Passing through the path Lukos had made through the spikes the young girl jumped on the werewolf's back and used her big arms to force him back from the two. One arm she wrapped around Lukos neck while with the other she tried to immobilize one of the man's arms.
And due to the effects of her magic on her psyche Rosette bit on the scuff of the werewolf's neck to practically no effect.
Kenneth was unceremoniously thrown to the side during the werewolf's attack, losing most of his supplies in the process. "Agh! Damn!"
While shaking off this relatively minor injury, he could see two dark figures grappling in the vicinity of his companion. He frantically searched for a way to end this situation. The spikes hadn't worked a lick. His hand pressed against the wooden side of an arcade cabinet.
Arcade machines: Plastic, glass, wiring, wood, rubber... Wait a sec... This isn't an arcade cabinet. It's got legs. This, Kenneth my boy, is a pinball machine. A devious smile crossed his face. He knew exactly what to create.
Welp, it wouldn't be the first time I destroyed a large piece of machinery... Sorry pinball machine, but lives are on the line.
He pressed his hands against it and concentrated. Schematics ran though his mind at ninety miles an hour. The body will be made of the wood and plastic with steel reinforcements. The bolts will be polished steel with silver tips (from the semiconductors, of course). The drawstring will be the rubber. Powersupply... Filament... Light. Maybe a bell or something...
After a flash, Kenneth stood next to a large, floor-mounted ballista. Because it was still plugged in, the ballista came complete with two large headlamps, illuminating the area. After he nocked the first bolt, a tiny bell sounded. *ding*
"Alright! Back off, wolf man!"
His eyes then widened in surprise. Holy- That's the Shadow Girl from before!

Give the world the best you have and you will get kicked in the teeth. Give the world the best you have anyway.

HAAAAAAAAA!!!
Kenneth grabbed his ears to defend himself from the auditory onslaught, dropping his flashlight in the process.
*tink* Darkness.
"Damn, damn, damn!" He immediately dropped to the floor and and swept his hands around, trying to pick up all the glass pieces that most likely broke away from the flashlight. Not that he needed all of the pieces, it was really more the priciple of the thing.
He suddenly inhaled sharply and felt a warm ooze sliding down his hand. He had found one of the glass pieces.
