That was his point.
But that begs the question: is that really true? Sure, logically speaking, Ultra-Car did not have a biological gender(until now?). But are we sure no character ever refereed to 'her' as male in the past?
I frankly don't remember, but it is silly to complain people assumed 'she' was male if the comic itself lead ourselves to think that way.
(not to mention we don't know what the deal with this new body yet, so we can't really say for sure Ultra-Car is actually female yet.)
PS:Just checked. Lucy refereed to 'her' as "he" in this page
. So, unless we can find somewhere else in which Ultra-Car is refereed as female, 'she' did have an established gender before, and this gender was male.
PPS:And Joe himself called Ultra-Car "son" at last once
.

I thought the correct would say "they" in those cases.
But, anyway, my point is that it is silly to say there is no indication of Ultra Car having a gender when, in fact, there is. Everyone talked of her* as she was male until now. It might be only because male is the default state of English language, but it still doesn't change the fact that all indications pointed to Ultra Car being male. Therefore, Wack'd complains about people joking about the gender change is out of place, since it was a gender change.
I do agree Ultra Car herself probably don't give a damn one way or another, though.
Ultra-Car gender is discussed, Malaya raises "important" questions and Robin is awesome.
But none of this is what really caught my attention today. The banner have been updated to show UC's new form, suggesting, therefore, that this is, in fact, permanent. More importantly, however, is that Ethan is gone, replaced by Ken. Now, I wonder, what can this mean? Will Ethan abandon the main cast, like Amber and Mike did? That would be an interesting development. I wonder if Robin is next?
Maybe I am over thinking it, though. How often are these banners updated, anyway? Do they actually reflect accurately the direction the comic is going?

Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies.Page
. My Sensors Indicate You Want to Tap That. With "that" being me.
Yeah, this will work out well.
I am sensing a common theme here and in Dumbing Of Age. Both features a confuse girl coming on someone who can't be sexually interested on them.
But this cast a new light Malaya I think. It will probably work about as well as her relationship with Leslie, but I am interested in seeing how she will develop in future.
Such an important moment in the comic. We can't just leave it without any comment or whatsoever.
Robin isn't quite "original". I mean, three comics in isn't a huge difference but you've got to remember Ethan and Amber were there for about five years before she arrived and Rick has outlasted all of them.

Well, I guess you are right then, but this is quite irrelevant to the question. If you want to go by the chronological view to adress who is "the original SP cast", then I have to point they were quite obviously not there for the foundation of the store
, so only Galasso is a "original member".
But more importantly, I am fairly sure Medinoc is talking about the comic, not the store. Robin is there since the beginning and, so, she is one of the original member.
I am not so sure. This do seem like a goodbye story to me. I believe this final storyline for him will end with him settled down and resolved with his boyfriend and job. Which is cool. He deserves a conclusion. He will likely still keep appearing here and there, but mostly as a supporting character, I think.
I can be wrong, of course, but he is out of the banner already and got an awesome whole page panel for himself. The signs are there.

And now he's walking in the light and enjoying life.
...any bets how far he makes it before he's hit by a bus?

Let's see how Drew will stop being a mighty asshole, and how Ethan will get his mojo back.

This kinda bugs me. If Ultra-Car got a male body, would anyone be saying UC got in touch with UC's masculine side?
