''The Year is 1940. Axis forces persist with this brutal conflict, tearing apart our invaded cities like ravanous animals. France has been successfully invaded through the use of blitzkrieg tactics ad the Germans new technology that puts our nations to shame. Hope for victory is slowly draining away. Both the Soviet Nation and the United States are taking the role of neutrality.

But the War is not over yet. But a week ago our Allied scientists showed us the fruits of their labor: they have found a way to recreate the technology that the Axis powers have been using. 'streikr referat' the Nazis call it, a 'Striker Unit'. This machine was, to put it simply, a leg mounted aircraft that provides the user with superior maneuverability and speed than any known airplane. The machines were controlled directly by the user and oddly enough don't run off of any known gasiline or even electricity. Magic was the fuel, something that could not be explained but could have many uses. Hitler was suspected of occultism, but this was beyond any rumor anyone has heard.

Striker Units were quickly manufactured by Allied Forces. Pilots were found just as quickly, magical potential soon seen in young girls from many different countries not already held in the tight grip of the Axis. These girls will soon be taught the art of military combat. The stage as been set, and a new force against the enemy has been made.

The 501st Joint Fighter Unit, Strike Witches have been formed''

This is a game based around the anthropomorphic military vehicle teme prodominately seen in the anime Strike Witches. It holds a split focus: one part on air and ground warfare and the other on quirky romantic comedy found in games such as MAID RPG. The setting is Europe and the surrounding area during WWII. There are two versions to this game and either would be fine by me. Version 0.5 is a d10 system similar to Dark Heresy, while the Beta Edition is a d6 system similar to MAID rpg. both pdfs can be found in the above link.

For your part as potential players I ask of you only two things: post your interest in this game if you are so inclined and vote on which version of the game interests you most

Sounds interesting, but I don't think I'll ever get my head around the system.

both systems are easy to understand, at least in my experiance with related games. The d10 system is more complex, however, so the older d6 beta version may prove to be more entertaining.

I would likewise wish to push the idea for a defensive role for the strike witch unit. As an offensive unit we as the players would have less time to feel the comedic effect of downtime and more of the grittiness of the second world war. On defense it could work as shown in the real strike witch universe: a 'monster' a week with plenty of downtime in between. maybe station us on an island between the UK and the mainland as a sort of first defense against bomberplanes and the like.

If you haven't noticed already I too am interested, albiet only if others are as well. I may choose to post a character for both games, maybe only one if the sstem is decided upon soon.

The game itself is a little hard to understand at first, the d10 being the more stat based while the d6 is more freeform, but both could be played easily if given the time to work through it.

And hello there DA, nice to see you hold some interest in my lil' roleplay wink I'll write you up as a d6 vote and hope to see you will still hold interest in the time it takes to get this thing a rollin

Heres the d6 Sheet, tell me if I missed anything

Name: Catherine "Bombenifique" Aurore

Aircraft: Bloch MB 152

Age: 17

Ace Style: Hotblooded

Archetype: Older Sister

Stats:

Air-to-Air: 4

Air-to-Ground: 4

Mobility: 2

Wits: 3

Speed: 2

Defense: 3

Stamina: 16

Ace Points: 1

Friendship Points: 1

Hits: □ □

Attributes/Quirks/Features: Gag Boobs

Weapons: Modified PIAT Special (Missle Launcher), Walther P38 (Short Range Pistol)

Personal: Catherine has been involved in many battles as a young girl. Although primarily being in defensive roles, she is best remembered for her near suicidal assaults on enemy advancement camps, culling out any chance for collateral damage. She seems rather protective of her comrades, using her own body as a shield for the ones she loves. Some do say she has a younger sister, though the location of her is unknown even to Catherine.

Appearance: Catherine is a very curvaceous woman that hardly seems adept for air-based warfare. Likewise maneuverability comes slower to her, moving at a stagnant pace compared to others in the new group. As a contrast her body is tough beyond anything others could expect from her soft visage. Lean muscle is behind tender fat, taking hits that would knock any other girl out of consciousness.

Right, I'm guessing we're using real aces.
