THERE ARE NO SEQUELS TO DON BLUTH FILMS

Untitled Power Rangers StoryI think the best out of the sequels was An American Tail:Fievel Goes West. It was the only one out of the other sequels to have a theatrical studio budget. Then the series came along...
like i said NO SEQUELS
fievel goes west was good...when i was 10...then i saw the original on HBO. guess which one is better in every way ITS THE FIRST ONE. fievel goes west just rehashed the firs movies plot

Untitled Power Rangers Storyout of all of these movies, I feel All Dogs Go To Heaven 2 is the most underrated. it wasn't as good as the first film but it was pretty good. and I have thought of some Fridge Brilliance to explain a lot of the inconsistencies between the two films. same thing goes for the spinnoff series.
Fievel Goes West was brilliant, and why fix what ain't broke? Maybe it was happier, but it had loads of Character Development and lot more laughs. Truly this was the only Don Bluth sequel that stands on its own.
All the Land Before Time sequels before the original voice of Cera left were at least some kind of Guilty Pleasure, the 4th one even had a brilliant Earn Your Happy Ending plot and decent animation,it just got killed by the songs and comic relief villains. Though Aria Noelle Curzon (Better known as the voice of Cornchip Girl from Recess) really brought back the feel of original Ducky.
Bartok The Magnificent just wasn't good even though Don Bluth worked on it,it reeked of all the problems Rock A Doodle had.
I well prefer Bartok The Magnificent to Anastasia, but that's jut me, I think. Bartok is better for what it tried to be than Anastasia was, and I liked the characters better (Baba Yaga ftw).
Intense Negative Continuity, though.
Nimh's sequels sucked, and I would talk about The Land Before Time's sequels but seeing as they'll be hitting fifty any day now I don't think I have the time.
they are all just so bad. either they just reuse the plot form the original or the plot make no sense, or they derail the characters.
Untitled Power Rangers Storyagain, I can think Fridge Brilliance for all the inconsistencies in the "All Dogs Go To Heaven" sequels. here they are as they were given to Stephen of the review show, Animated Analysis. I admit this film isn't as good as the first one but I liked it and would like to point out and defend some things: 1. Red is not actually Satan. 2. when Annabelle said that angels know everything, I'm pretty sure that would only apply to things OUTSIDE of Heaven because they have a non-limier view of events in the normal universe but their perception of things in their own plane is still limier. 3. Charlie got the second collar to protect David, which I see as Charlie symbolically making up for his failure to keep his promise to Anne-Marie. Charlie even says something about regretting un-kept promises. 4. I don't think it matters if the problem was Charlies fault if he fixed it. 5. about your comment on Carface being in Heaven, isn't the title "ALL Dogs go to Heaven"? related to that, Charlie probably bought Carfaces act and just didn't hold a grudge anymore.
Now honestly... I didn't hate Secret of NIMH 2. I was more apathetic towards it.
At least it had Eric Idle being awesome, and an ok Villain Song
"Contests fought between two masters are decided instantly. An invisible battle is now raging between the two of them." Lulu vs Schneizel
a good number of people might agree with you on that. but that still only elevates NIMH 2 to So Bad, It's Good. I feel the other Bluth sequels are at least So OK, It's Average, especially, All Dogs Go To Heaven 2. I own both All Dog movies and see the sequel and spinnoff show as worthy successors, even if they are weak compared to the original. in some ways the sequel and show are better then the original....but not all ways.

They're only bad when compared to the originals.
let me rephrase that: They're only hated as much as they are because of the originals

"Contests fought between two masters are decided instantly. An invisible battle is now raging between the two of them." Lulu vs SchneizelWell making Timmy the protagonist was brilliant. I never liked the other book sequels becuase they never directly related to Mrs. Frisby/Brisby.
But everything else, like why The Great Owl never came back or why the jewel wasn't mentioned, sucked. The animation was cheaper than Land Before Time II even, and that is really saying a lot.
Bartok The Magnificent was actually directed by Bluth. Haven't seen it though.
As for the others, I liked Fievel Goes West (could Jimmy Stewart's final role possibly be a bad one?) but didn't like All Dogs Go To Heaven 2 (Charlie Sheen is no Burt Reynolds and the boy was a weak replacement for Anne Marie), The Secret of NIMH 2 (too sugary and Timmy was a terrible choice to be the main character) or any of the Land Before Time sequels.

Well Don Bluth sequels are a Berserk Button for many a troper. So it's not really any surprise that many have reacted with negativity

in general, I think the Non-Don Bluth sequels get a bad rep. in my mind, the only truly bad ones are The Secret Of NIMH 2 and anything after Land Befor Time part 5. all the other sequels are at least So OK, It's Average.
