I'm still game for this and really would rather this RP not die after we managed to reboot it. Des has a point, the role of GM for this is more of a supervisory and 'get things moving' one, partially to make sure things don't drag on. But if we don't have enough people interested in staying it won't be terribly successful. Though it appears we do have maybe half at least of the active players wanting to try and keep things going. That said, I'm not terribly experienced in G Ming this sort of thing but I do have extensive tabletop G Ming experience; if people would like I would be willing to give keeping this going a bit a shot.
And I can't speak for everyone else, but I was trying to not have things be so rushed with Kanako on the relationship front. It's only been less than a day in game time, and she has thought a bit that certain other girls are cute at the least. Anything more would be pushing it a bit, maybe. Anyway, off to class..
Avatar from: http://x0whitelily0x.livejournal.com/5953.html N: 5 F, 0/40 STheoretically, I could volunteer to GM this - but if so, I'd probably want to modify the setting/mechanics somewhat, which would likely mean a new RP. It would still be a slice-of-life/romance/Yuri RP, but with a few changes:
- No Masquerade (Not that character's backstories can't be secret, but I prefer my wacky hijinks out in the open :P)
- No Teacher Characters (Which I suppose was now the case here too)
- More defined setting/activities (Cultural Festival FTW)
- Otherwise probably more or less the same
Almost certainly, everyone could still use the same characters if they wanted, but if I were to GM this, I'd want to do it well - and at least personally, I feel like I couldn't do that without probably restarting and establishing the setting from there.
This would have the advantages of: resetting any interactions with those who dropped out, as well as allowing new people to join easily (to help reach critical mass). Of course, the disadvantages would be another restart, which I can totally understand if we don't want that.
Otherwise, I could stay on here if we'd prefer to keep the current RP/setting. (This is just an optional suggestion.)
I'm OK with either. I don't mind another reset, really.
On empty crossroads, seek the eclipse -- for when Sol and Lua align, the lost shall find their way home.I'm open to either possibility, though I think everyone still wanting to continue the RP should voice an opinion before we move forward.
Avatar from: http://x0whitelily0x.livejournal.com/5953.html N: 5 F, 0/40 SI find Sonzai's idea intriguing. It won't require any tweaking of our characters to adapt them to that reboot, right? I kind of like the one I made and didn't have the chance to play as. <.<
"Suffer a vicious person and you will fear vice. Suffer a virtuous one and you will soon loathe virtue itself." Tony DuvertI talked with Bombadillo (who can co-GM with me), and we thought that a restart would be best, to allow for new interactions (if your character was interacting with one who left), possibly to get new people, and to fully iron out the tone, etc.
I'm writing the official signup post/setting description, and should have it and the RP ready in the next couple days. But before that, since it will be a Spiritual Successor to this RP, the following characters (from those who expressed interest, in no particular order) have been pre-approved:
- Sonzai

If I missed anyone, or you'd like to continue and haven't said so, feel free to bug me. The settings are rather similar and quite compatible, so I think almost everyone (if not everyone) can be re-used with minimal to no modifications.

@Sonzai: So you and Bomb are going to GM, and it's going to be restarted again? All-right.
On empty crossroads, seek the eclipse -- for when Sol and Lua align, the lost shall find their way home.Basically how it'll work, as envisioned at least, is that I'm sort of a co-GM. In case Sonzai's otherwise occupied, I can at least keep things moving. And vice versa. Kanako will be slightly different but overall the same person - I'm interested to see her as maybe from a more delinquent/biker/etc. background and rebelling by being a Yamato Nadeshiiko..

Yes, it's almost finished.
However, note that even though there's No Masquerade, that doesn't mean that everyone has to be open about what they truly are. People keep secrets all the time in real life - just because there are visible Youkai or Cat Girls, doesn't mean everyone's going to know she's a yuki-onna right off the bat. (Even though (some) Youkai are known, that doesn't mean they're all fully integrated with human society, after all.) Of course, the decision is up to you either way.
Another explanation could be that she's from a clan/area of particularly bad reputation, and wouldn't want anyone to know that. (As if she came from a crime family, or something like that.)

You don't have to be confident. You just have to have a plan that works. Though IMO this RP is less GM-centric than others, because there's such an emphasis on interaction. We just someone to put Time Skips into effect and the like, IMO.
