to clarify my opinion a little more, the entire first season was So OK, It's Average. as for the second season, two episodes were So OK, It's Average to a lesser extent, two episodes were So Bad Its Horrible and the rest of the episodes where So Bad, It's Good. and the movie? I never saw it and based on what I've heard about it, probably won't.

the Nostalgia Critic said the show was messed up to him too. but I think he only saw a few episodes and was un-aware of the combination Alternate Continuity and Seasonal Rot.
if nothing else, this show is a Guilty Pleasure for me. and I still say for what it was, the stories were OK.
Maybe that's a good thing...
Don't feel bad. This new one isn't as well-accept as that new MLP series we all know about by now is... Though I still wish it was. It aint that bad.
Still, sorry if I struck a nerve. This is, after all, a to each his/her own thing.

I hate to ask, but could you explain, please, how that is?
I'm still going to like the new one more, but that's just me. However, with other series (I'M NOT SAYING NAMES, or we'll be here a while), what you say DOES ring true. Nostalgia truly is a dangerous thing if left uncecked...
I liked this show, but I was a very little kid back then so I don't completely remember all the details of the show. I did have some Pound Puppies toys. I had a grey one a brown one and a dark brown one. I also had one of the larger sized ones, whose nose broke off. I also had a Pound Purry, which was the cat equivalent of the toy.

I think the old version of the show is just as underrated as the new version. the new one is better in a lot of ways but this one was good to. the first season was So OK, It's Average bordering on So Cool Its Awesome. and the quality of the second season sometimes managed to be So OK, It's Average too.
