Berenice resisted the urge to scream - it would certainly defeat the purpose of hiding herself in the freezer. Just before panic set in, something in the light of the phone caught her eye. The ice on a frosted panel looked to have finger marks on it.
Curiousity took over as she then went to pry open the panel. Lots of little lights greeted her, as a complex security panel was revealed.
"Wow..."
It was a touch screen and it showed the layouts of the mansion, along with lots of little dots which at first she thought were people but then she saw other shapes which may be those...
Deciding to take advantage of the situation, the albino tried to decipher which things were what, firstly by seeing if she came up on the map... and whether anything in the study was out of place.
"You've got your transmission and your live wire, but your circuit's dead." - MediaHaunting the Halls
The double doors opened without a sound under Jessie's hand but the darkness within the room across from the kitchen was so opaque it was almost opressive. Surely she would be able to hide in here - unless of course someone decided to turn on the lights.Cold Comfort
There was indeed a stationary dot marking Berenice's place in the walk-in freezer. There was also a dot in the hallway outside the kitchen and at the bottom of the stairs leading to the the wine cellar. Several moving dots were congregating on the second floor at the top of the stairway though there was still one stationary dot in one of the bedrooms and one dot in the large bathing area. There were also Pac-Man-esque 'ghost' icons doing static loops in the library, Master suite and in... the dead space next to the wine cellar? H:44F(8/30)S|G:19F(0/10)SOn figuring out that the dots were people (and hoping that they didn't have another one of these set up somewhere), Berenice turned her attention to Inky, Blinky, Pinky, and Clyde. Or three of them, anyway.
Could one of those be where that secret doorway leads?
As she contemplated where what the ghosts might represent, the albino moved the panel back into place (though open enough such that she could still peer in) and tucked herself behind a shelf.
"You've got your transmission and your live wire, but your circuit's dead." - MediaJessie: Terribly dark in here, Jessie thinks as she enters the room, quietly closing the door behind her.
This will be a great place to hide, barring accidents, Jessie then thinks as she takes a few steps further inside the room. (If the room still has its table and/or chairs, 3 x Luck(3) = 9
for whether Jessie notices them before colliding into them.)

Jessie didn't manage two steps away from the door before stubbing her toe on something solid. Her hip collided with something as she stumbled away, tilting the ghostly girl sideways as she dropped to the floor. From the way she still managed to hit a few more things on her way down, Jessie was fairly certain that there was quite a bit clutter in this room - and her sore spots told her that most of it was heavy, unyielding furniture. At least she didn't tip anything on top of herself, though. H:44F(8/30)S|G:19F(0/10)SJessie: As if the painful, humiliating, and slightly noisy tumble itself isn't enough; Jessie's concentration is broken as she reverts to her normal ghostly appearance upon landing on the floor.
Terrible. I should've known better than to think it would go so smoothly. As Jessie rubs her sore hip, her ghostly glow illuminates the immediate area around her, revealing what appear to be fancy table and chair legs right beside her. This must be what I've stumbled upon, she thinks. Catching a soot-like odor as she looks up to see the table and chairs prompts her to add, Smells like it's had better days though.
That's not all she catches sight of as she stands up. Office furniture and some hall decor appear to surround the table. Similar scents from them suggest something may have happened to the areas they belong in.
Jessie doesn't have time to examine them for clues, realizing that she might be trapped if her fall has caught someone's attention. Noticing the office desk, she figures that's the best chance she has to hide for the moment. She crouches down to get behind the desk but, still feeling sore, she somehow can't really focus on becoming invisible again. 3 x Cunning(2) = 6

TMINE:(T=F:17,S:0/10);(J=F:6,S:4/20)It took a moment for Fox!Marnie to realize that the door was in fact open and therefore she could easily flee the bath. If something bad was happening being in her fox form wasn't going to help make things easier for anyone. As Junko responded to Latanya the small canine zipped out the door, looked around for her clothes, and then fled towards her room. Maybe they were in there? She only cared about getting out of the place so she could return to her human form, which was harder than it might seem when you had something odd on your mind.. like a butler that wasn't quite male.
Avatar from: http://x0whitelily0x.livejournal.com/5953.html N: 5 F, 0/40 STammy: Tammy is distracted by fox!Marnie scampering her way. She points toward the guest suite while whispering "Nya in your room." Having seen the trouble the fox has with doors, she's glad she left the doors to both the guest suite and Marnie's room open just enough for fox!Marnie to slide through the openings.
Just as the fox runs by, Tammy hears Junko call out to her. She turns to face down the hall to see Junko and Latanya standing near the bathing area door. "Nya that's right. I thought I heard you call back to me while I was headed for the guest suite, Junko," she then says as she approaches the butler and scientist maid. "Nya what's the sitch?"
Jessie: Let's see... Jessie ponders while behind the office desk. Berenice said to keep an eye out for summoning traps. Jessie checks the surface of the desk. Then she tries checking the drawers, but they won't open. Undaunted, she decides to look by phasing her head inside (2 x Will(2) = 4
A- anyway, I apparently couldn't find what Berenice told us to look for. Then again, I'm not sure I can recognize such a thing when I see it.

TMINE:(T=F:17,S:0/10);(J=F:6,S:4/20)Tammy: "I see. So we're playing 'Welcoming Committee'? Nya I'm up for that," Tammy says. Raising up a fist to chest level, she then sarcastically cracks, "If they're with the people who were here this afternoon, nya we should thank them for the explosive renovations they made to the Manor." With that, she approaches the end of the couch at the corner of the stairway, intending to shift it into a small angle to the stairs, just enough to grant access to the stairs.

TMINE:(T=F:17,S:0/10);(J=F:6,S:4/20)Tammy: "Nya well if that's an order from the higher-ups, I guess there's not much you can do about that, Latanya," Tammy replies to Latanya's statement before turning back toward Junko. "If you feel we need them, Junko. Nya I can check if Marnie's ready to go. You can see to Hitsugi if you want to, but she appeared to be really knocked out when we placed her into bed nya."
TMINE:(T=F:17,S:0/10);(J=F:6,S:4/20)"Oh sorry my mistake." says Junko, "I probably wouldn't understand how those guys think either way." she then turns to Tammy "Okay good idea go check on Marnie. As for Hitsugi I'm not all that confident I could wake her up like you said she was pretty well bombed. Probably safer to let her sleep and hope for the best."
F:41 S:0/30Tammy: "Nya Right!" Tammy exclaims just before turning to head back toward the guest suite.
Without hesitation, and without thinking whether Marnie had enough time to change to human form and get dressed, Tammy rushes into Marnie's room. "Marnie, are you ready? Nya we've got a situation here!" she calls out as she enters the room.
TMINE:(T=F:17,S:0/10);(J=F:6,S:4/20)At least that was the plan, hiding behind the barrels or some such. What Karina didn't expect was finding only ashes in the wine-cellar.
There were shapes that might have been barrels and shelves in their better days (or... actually... just a few hours ago), but nothing that could provide cover, much less a good hiding place.
The smell of smoke and chemicals was nearly unbearable. Luckily for Karina, vampires didn't really had a need to breath, it was mostly a habit they kept from their mortal days.
Thinking it trough, the young vampiress quickly realised that, while the room was practically empty, there weren't many persons who would want to come down here. Not as if turning back would have been a wise thing to do, if Berenice said that they need to hide quickly, than she really had no time to waste.
The only interesting sight in the room was a metal door, behind a pile of burned wood. This being the only option besides going back, the vampiress took a few steps towards it, to get a closer look, only to feel the mixture of ashes and fire-retardant foam beneath her feet.
"Well, it might not be cozy, but it's at least warmer than I expected." — She quietly noted to herself, with a hint of sarcasm.
Reaching the door was not an easy thing to do, with the slippery foam on the floor, and the charred remnants of a shelf that was blocking the way to the metal door. Naturally, by the time she reached the door, she tripped multiple times, getting her uniform throughoutly wet with the disgusting mixture. In addition, her pale skin was full of coal-colored smudges from making her way trough the charcoal-like remnants.
1 * 4(ath) = 4, to reach the door in good condition
4 * 2(luck) = 8, to find something interesting

Karina: F:18 S:0/20 Evelyn: F:11 S:6/40 "Evelyn is adorably crazy." — compliment by Vampiric OneThe door before Karina appeared to be very solidly constructed, though there didn't seem to be any way to open it. It had obviously been some sort of hidden passage, so it was possible that it had to be opened from the inside - or perhaps there had been a secret switch that opened it elsewhere in the room. Karina's roll wasn't enough to find anything, but she can keep searching if she wants.
H:44F(8/30)S|G:19F(0/10)SThe vestibule was dark as the maids of Spyhold (plus butler) descended the stairs. The electricity had been turned off for the front half of the first floor due to safety concerns, so Junko was at a bit of a natural disadvantage compared to the catgi- catpeople, though it was nothing that Science! couldn't compensate for, and at least the lights would still work in the kitchen and library. Junko can roll Skill instead of Cunning to search in the dark, if she has an appropriate invention. She should roll her Skill anyhow; a 6+ would allow her to remember that the security is disabled for the front of the house as well, so any detected intrusion would be from the back.

"Well," mutters Junko who's bringing up the rear of the group and wearing a larger odd looking helmet marked night vision 1000 that gives the impression it's mostly made out of old junk and duct tape "Wouldn't you know it, forgot to recharge the damned thing...well looks like it's groping around in the dark for me, it's prom night all over again." she pauses a moment. "Let's see...there's something important I'm forgetting...."

Jessie: Jessie worries as she also sees Berenice choosing the freezer as her hiding place. Its door is not the easiest to open, even from the outside. This is terrible. I'm sure Berenice doesn't want to become a ghost like me. But what can I do to help her? she thinks as she looks around the kitchen.
I can't save Berenice if I don't save myself first, Jessie then thinks, aware that the kitchen is likely where the enemy will search first for intruders. With a quick glance across the room, she notices the double doors. Trying to be as quiet as possible, she slowly makes her way toward the double doors.
Not wanting to lose her concentration on staying invisible, she slowly opens the door, slides through and slowly closes the door back. (6 x Cunning(2) = 12
in attempt to keep as quiet as possible while changing rooms.) From her position, she sees what looks like another double doors right in front of her leading to the dining room, a slight glint suggesting a door handle shortly to her right with the door leading to the garage, and a very faint light to her left which leads to the front hall in front of the stairway. Staying out in the open is not an option. And given her proximity, the right-hand direction might lead back outside. That leaves the double doors in front of her for now. She approaches the double door and, after feeling for it, turns the handle. (Roll for whether the door is open or locked?)
