I edited out a good deal of post #427 from the dark manor thread, because it felt a bit redundant, and not really in-character for Karina.
And yeah, Suika is probably the best for this purpose, nice idea.

Karina: F:18 S:0/20 Evelyn: F:11 S:6/40 "Evelyn is adorably crazy." — compliment by Vampiric OneRedacted the last paragraph and slightly changed Jessie's last question in Dark Manor post #426 to better fit the posts that immediately followed it.
And already there's a clue as to what Jessie's Maid Roots is.

TMINE:(T=F:17,S:0/10);(J=F:6,S:4/20)Should Kyla and Marnie make opposed Cunning checks?
Call me a devil... it just means I'll have to use my hellish powers to get you to listen! F:36 S:0/20Aaand Marnie's: 3 x 2 Cunning = 6. Gee, her brilliant strategy to not be detected has failed XD.

Avatar from: http://x0whitelily0x.livejournal.com/5953.html N: 5 F, 0/40 SSo Marnie would take 12/2=6 Stress, right?
Call me a devil... it just means I'll have to use my hellish powers to get you to listen! F:36 S:0/20(Sorry. I meant to post this last night.)
Personally, I don't see why not. Sure Butlers are a bit on the powerful side, but they have significant drawbacks to balance them out. As the rules say, "He's supposed to keep the house in order, not introduce potential chaos."
You mentioned possibly branching another faction. That could be possible if we continue getting new signups. Maybe Dr. En Passant or Ms. Fruitorange has his or her own agenda regarding the McGuffin Papers?
TMINE:(T=F:17,S:0/10);(J=F:6,S:4/20)I can easily see the Doctor branching off his own faction. I'm sure there are myriad ways a chessmaster could use the papers. (And they doesn't seem to be trusting each other with Wally either.)
On the case of the butler, yeah they have restrictions. One of them:
"Butlers will automatically lose any combat against the Master or maids."
I suppose this only works on maids from the butler's own mansion. Still, if he either doesn't leave the mansion or, better yet, Wouldn't Hit a Girl, it can work out quite well. (And it's not hard to imagine some other superspy with a big ego, who has his own self-imposed rules.)

Karina: F:18 S:0/20 Evelyn: F:11 S:6/40 "Evelyn is adorably crazy." — compliment by Vampiric OneJust a notice, I may not be able to post this weekend.
Call me a devil... it just means I'll have to use my hellish powers to get you to listen! F:36 S:0/20Alright! I'm back at proper non-summer uni so that means I should be able to post every weekday!
And I don't mind a butler... if you put it in Darkly manor it would be funny to watch Gemma. :P

"You've got your transmission and your live wire, but your circuit's dead." - MediaThat's fine.
Wait a minute... the only guys we have are dressed as girls, and the one "guy" we have is actually a girl...

"You've got your transmission and your live wire, but your circuit's dead." - MediaWell, it remains to be seen whether Marnie is another futa or really is a guy. It's leaning toward the former, what with her assets, unless they're fake, but the signs so far point to them being real.
Call me a devil... it just means I'll have to use my hellish powers to get you to listen! F:36 S:0/20Because they did themselves up before they met anyone else here and are used to it, i am going treat detecting Marnie and Latanya's genders similarly to the house-ruled stealth roll. Each one gets to make a cunning roll here that counts as a target rather than a contested roll (meaning that it's not 'combat' so the butler can do it too!) Anyone who wants to get a sense that they aren't quite what they seem has to beat the target number set by their roll, but no stress is taken on either side regardless of result.

H:44F(8/30)S|G:19F(0/10)SSo should I redact the strange scent part?
Call me a devil... it just means I'll have to use my hellish powers to get you to listen! F:36 S:0/20Alright then, I'm going to need a target roll in order to make the attempt.
Ah, what the heck. Roll 4 x Cunning 3 = 12.
Call me a devil... it just means I'll have to use my hellish powers to get you to listen! F:36 S:0/20Hmm... for doing 'ghostly things' i would say that Skill, Cunning or Will would usually be more appropriate than Luck, depending on the approach. Something she's practiced should be Skill, something that she is being clever about should be Cunning and something that she is just willing to happen should be Will. I could see using Luck in combat sometimes, but the way you're currently describing it makes it seem more like a 'willpower' situation.
H:44F(8/30)S|G:19F(0/10)SHuh, random and unrelated to RP but not to maids fact, apparently soviet school uniforms looked pretty much exactly like the stereotypical maid uniform
Also, what shall the level of difficulity be to detect Latanya gender be? Shall there only be two dice rolled or something?

Okay I rolled against my cunning which means it was 1d6*5, I got a total of 10
. She got busted

Aye, but we don't actually need a dialogue; we just need Jessie to hear something that either convinces or confuses her enough to go along with the Dark Maids...
