Nah, I was just remarking on something unusual which occurred to me a moment ago. Unusual, but hardly cause for concern; I simply felt the need to proclaim its oddity as a result.
The Danse Macabre CodexThe D&D-on-the-air radio show I've mentioned at least twice which I participate in. The site just put up online streaming, and I asked earlier if anyone wanted to listen in. I'll be posting the link when we go on. Tonight, the players will be DM'ing, and the DM is one of the players.
...and that's terrible.Anywayssss. I'm off to bed. Going into town tomorrow to grab my last Christmas presents, and acquire supplies to go off on a massive kitchen spree sometime in the next couple of weeks...I've been asked to put a tray together for work, and I'm doing homemade cheese, chocolate truffles, and probably one or two vegetable dips since I remembered I have a blender capable of severing bone (seriously, do not fucking get any fingers near the blades in the Ninja Master Prep, Jebus Christ...best $40 I ever spent but my sister is justifiably terrified of the thing after what just accidentally skimming the blades did to her hand)...um, that went on a tangent, the short version is, I'll be late tomorrow as I've got to collect materials FOR COOKING!

Easing back into life one step at a timeUm, hi all.
@Mysty: Although the post was a few pages back, thanks for the advice, I'll follow each of those to the letter. Whoever it is, I think it's probably one guy, although that probably wouldn't explain how all my accounts seemed to get hacked at once, so once again I'm sorry for any random crap that may get posted by me in future here, or on any other sites or networks you guys know me on. Thanks.
Oh, and sorry if this changes any subjects, but nothing..uh 'out of the ordinary' got posted by me here whilst I was gone, did it?

@ Kiri: Well, the basic summation, without spoilering too much, is as follows.
Once Upon a Time, there was an ancient civilization known as the Celestials. They were more or less physical gods, although the only thing they could not control was entropy. When their universe began to undergo a gradual heat death, some Celestials developed the technology to travel between universes, so that they could travel to younger universes and continue their colonization efforts. However, this controversial technology caused a schism between the Celestials, and to that end a great war was fought, which all but wiped out the remains of their society.
Ultimately, a stalemate was declared between the few survivors. The Celestials who chose to leave their home universe for good and wander the realities indefinately became known as the Nomads, the few that chose to stay became known as the Remnants. Unable to reproduce conventionally, the Nomads began artificially creating new members of their kind, creating the Pure (created from an abstract concept) and Impure (created from a preexisting mortal being) Nomads, who gradually superseded the originals and reproduced in kind.
And so this continued for billions of years, until, spurred by cultural stagnation, a small cult of Nomads began to tamper in the affairs of lesser beings for fun. These "games" rapidly captivated a sizeable number of the Nomad population. One Nomad, an original known as Omega, decided to turn against his allies and disguise the reality-warping bomb that he had been creating as a planet that the Champions were stored on. This final round of games proved that the Nomads had bitten off more than they could chew- not only did several tensions between Nomads flare up and escalate into an all-out battle, Unicron showed up to menace the entire group. The Champions escaped by the skins of their teeth, rescued by an altruistic Remnant. Omega himself is sent to a purgatory-like state, but is not dead.
Approximately six months later, this same Remnant contacts a pair of Nomads called Moja and Mbili, seeking an ancient weapon- a holdover from the original war that had been thought destroyed- known only as Sifuri. But before he can aid them in their search, he is executed by his comrades for breaking their most ancient rule, keeping out of the affairs of the Nomads. Both of them asemble competing teams to recover the artefact first, but their true intentions for the weapon are still a mystery.
After another six months, Omega, although he is still incapable of escaping his prison, manages to take control of something else that dwells in the same dimension, a mysterious Eldritch Abomination that appears to be something greatly feared by the Remnants. Using this power, he gathers a new group of champions and begins to force them through a set of challenges, feeding off the energy created by their passage between universes. He also contacts another Nomad, Tatu; unable to influence the physical world, he requests that an army is built for his disposal. Tatu accordingly seeks the multiverse for a team of champions that he will use as generals. As a bonus reward, he offers them the chance to be transformed into Impure Nomads themselves, although it remains to be seen whether his loyalty will lie with Sifuri or Omega.
And that is more or less a summation of both the original AGOG/TOTG, and the three main games today.
