Matt shrugged. "Eh. If you say so."
[villa]
Shit, it was so damn cold outside. He hated December, winter, snow... whatever, he hated cold. Vince was already struggling to hold his eyes open, and it hadn't even started snowing yet. He headed back to his room and dug a long black woolen cloak out of his suitcase, then unceremoniously wrapped it around his shoulders, letting the rest dangle almost to the floor. It was his favorite cloak for a reason- the fur it was woven from was the only thing that kept him warm. Curled up on top of his unused bed, he dug out his personal phone and checked his inbox.
...Oh, great.
He read through the forwarded message. Unfortunately, he hadn't even heard of this contestant- Bunny. This message was more direct than was to be expected of the accounts he could find on John. There was a possibility that this could be a different individual entirely... or he could be pulling something similar to what L did- L was actually three different detectives all at once, acting under three aliases. Upon further thought, doing that made no real sense because, technically, all three of them would be busy with a case at the same time. But then, neither did this entire, uh... mission, he guessed.
He typed in the number the OCMPA gave him.
Jay laughed. "Even better. They might even kill our targets and hunters for us."
Slowly, Jay let out a yawn. "I still want Millant dead. If she isn't within a week, I might come for her, depending on my mood. I am very sick of this game at the moment, so I won't. People called the OCMPA came yesterday. As impotent as impotence goes. They couldn't do anything. Anyways. We'll still have to interact with the contestants. Quite unfortunate."

If you're busy I just wanted you all to know that I'm sorry for letting myself get so angry.
What I'm getting at is, uhm, can we start the happy-murder-funtime on a clean slate? So you don't have to go after me first.
But, uh, if you do, I can work with that.
Park —> Walking to hospital
"And having you with me increases my chance of survival. Lovely."
Millant holds Matthias's hand as they walk, even though he probably doesn't need it, because she's still nervous.

The last battle's curtains will open on stage!"I see. Well, effectual or not, I think they will make a convenient excuse. We can us this contact with them to give us a reason to talk to the others that won't arouse suspicion. Plus, that way we won't have burnt that bridge if it turns out they can help."
She took out her phone and looked at Arzt's new message. She replied this time.
It's alright. Jay says he doesn't want you dead. And I have no reason to go after you. Still want to talk.
sleepy time for Gil.

[park > hospital]
She was holding his hand again, but Matt could tell why. He let it go.
Now, his next question was how to deal with these potentially hostile contestants. If her team saw him with her... weren't Jay and Ring part of her team? Chances are, they- especially Jay -would jump to conclusions that he was siding with her or had some motive to kill them.
The OCMPA needed to round up these contestants. Like, now.
"Jack, you have debauched my sloth."Hospital
"Well, I don't think Jay has reached the point of killing civilians. Yet."
Maybe he just wasn't big on physical contact.
Millant enters the hospital and takes the elevator.
Arzt: Fuuuuck I told you not to come D:
Matt is indeed a touchy European guy. Just not with young women that he barely knows.
"'Yet'. That's reassuring, but I'm sorry to say that I couldn't expect less of Jay."
When he heard the elevator ding, he let go of her hand and moved in front of her to step out first.
"Jack, you have debauched my sloth.""Shit. Shit shit shit."
Cherry pulled out her phone, texting Sally once more.
Okay Sally, seriously, this is getting bad. I want to be next to you.
She also went ahead and tried to contact Arzt. Bunny was dead so she needed the rest of her team.
Arzt. Are you still in your hospital room? Fuck it, I'm coming.
She make her way back into the hospital, and up to Arzt's room.
Rubber glared at Dean. "Dean thought I had been coming on to him since I got here. I was just being friendly. I was taking a shower in our hotel room and he came in and tried to get in the shower with me so I cursed him out."
Ring looked at Arzt's reply.
"Well," she said to Jay "it seems I may have a chance to speak with Arzt. Best to assure the others, and his team in particular, that our intentions are harmless, don't you think?" Whether or not their intention were truely harmless, her tone seemed to imply.
She walked up to the door of Rosa's room, still unaware of the increasing number of people converging nearby.
Jay followed Ring to Rosa's room.
He tapped Ring on the shoulder as he saw Millant and Matthias approaching.
"Good morning."
Whatcha gonna do, little buckaroo? | i be pimpin' madoka ficsDean texted in his offhand as he stared straight ahead. He held up his right hand at the waiter.
"Une Royale avec fromage." he said simply.
He once again mashed REPLY to the text from the referee(?) that sent the new rule announcement.
FUCK YOU FUCK YOU FUCK YOU FUCK YOU FUCK YOU COME ONE YOU KNOW YOI WSNT YO KILL ME
I of course am not actually requesting this.
"Okay Dean, stop it." Tuner grabbed Dean's arm, though that couldn't actually stop him from texting with his hands. "Fine, you hate yourself. We get it. So stop trying to get yourself in trouble, alright?"
He turned to Rubber, glaring at her.
"So he fucked up and you chased him out of the shower. I understand that. Now can you tell me exactly how did this get him hospitalised and made him suicidal?"
Rosa's Hospital Room, Sorry I Haven't Responded Yet, Guys.
When Rosa was about to respond to Arzt, she got cut off by his myriad of flurried responses to other things going on.
Besides that fact, Bunny was dead and their time had been slashed. No, no, this wasn't looking good at all. Indeed, the probability of getting out without blood on her hands was very low indeed. She supposed she'd just let Arzt lead the conversation and shut him up if he started saying anything compromising or stupid.
And if she was going to get out of this game, she was not going back to the Alexandrias, even if they were her family. Her Grandfather seemed far too sinister than she'd like to associate with.
Guess she should start distancing herself from the girl she was. She pulled out her cellphone and glanced at the message the orchestrator had sent. She hit the reply button, and tried to think of the rudest response possible.
Do you get a hard-on from this sort of thing or something? If so, I highly suggest you start to rethink your life and find a more productive hobby.
Against any and all sane thought, she hit send.
And now she felt defiled.
OCMPA, Monaco
Viviele heard the phone going off, and picked it up.
"Hello?" She answered, half-asleep.
OCMPA, Player Group
Eventually, it was decided that they would be supplied a port back to base and that Alex Wright would help interrogate the guy in the morning. And so it was done.
The next morning, the group got up bright and early, and quickly, word got around that the Game was found going on in Monaco and that some people were already sent to observe and intervine. While Alex had a job to do, the rest of the group was free to do as they please for the time being, whether they wanted to drop in on the questioning or train or whatever.
Those in the mood for training might find Natalie and Suki down in the main training room, seeming to prepare for some practice in hand-to-hand combat.
Meanwhile, in another room, the man they found yesterday was sitting in a chair, ready for questioning.
“DAMMIT WHEN I HEAR 'SPACE CQC' ALL I CAN THINK OF IS BIG BOSS WITH A FISHBOWL ON HIS HEAD, STRANGLING AN ASTRONAUT OUTSIDE THE ISS."Ring pulled her hand away, but gently. As if she didn't quite know how to react.
She knew nobody was likely to start a fight. She did. But it was just… there were so many people here. And they were all probably planning something. Any little mistake could have great consequences, therefore.
But… no. She couldn't keep doing this. Nobody was much of a threat, right? Well, she didn't really know that Matthias guy, so… No. She was overthinking things. She could talk.
She shook her head slightly to clear it. Then she smiled weakly, then turned her back to Matthias. Better if she could pretend he wasn't there.
Gear- no, he was Alex now, he had to remember that- walked into the room.
"Well," he said, "how about we talk about what happened to you back there."
"Yay!"
Millant occupies herself with Angry Birds and takes a seat by Rosa's bed while Arzt pulls Ring inside.
"Do you hae any idea where Mary is?" he asks.
"Arzt—"
"Just a second, Millant. I bet you don't like Mary much, do you, Ring? And she's really crazy. Maybe she's up to something really bad. We have to find her!"
Millant puts away the phone and rubs her temples.
"She could be trying to hurt us ALL!"
The last battle's curtains will open on stage!

She paused, putting away her phone.
"I… see. Yes, I suppose that strategy does have some value, though it seems to me that it may be better to attempt to avoid fights entirely, letting others thin the herd a bit. A tad too dangerous, otherwise."
