Millant puts Arzt's phone in her purse.
I don't think there's really much to do today. We're just trying to stay out of trouble, aren't we?
Actually... have you seen Mary? She's kind of psycho, and it makes me nervous if I don't know where she is >.>
"Given Mary's disappearance, Arzt, I'm going to work on getting rid of my team. These powers were given to us for a reason. We're probably not meant to go buy guns and end the game quickly. So I'll be looking for a place to practice." She returns her phone to him. "For the love of God, get some rest. You're supposed to be recovering, after all."
He rolls his eyes. I can't let her boss me around like this. "Watch your back."

The last battle's curtains will open on stage!"Alright," Jay said, dialing in Mary's number.
Whatcha gonna do, little buckaroo? | i be pimpin' madoka fics"Yeah. Outside sounds okay. Maybe practice with our powers some more in case that aquakinetic fucker I helped take down comes back. We can just wait for Tuner to get back and we can go, right?" Dean said. "I can get hit by a truck once we get out there too, maybe rupture my skull."
He immediately held his hands up. "Kidding, of course."
Mary seems to have completely disappeared. How wise.
Millant gazes out the window of the taxicab with glassy eyes, tightly holding the fire extinguisher that she purchased from a hardware store.
Jay and Ring aren't morons. They'll be suspicious.
"Around here, miss?"
"Yes, this looks fine."
They want to kill me.
Millant pays the driver and hops out of the cab.
It's high time I figured out what I can do with fire.
About a block away, she finds an unused warehouse, far from prying eyes.
Arzt: hey
Millant: Let's try avoiding Tear. She's against killing and just wants to escape.
Arzt: k
Millant: Actually, let's avoid people in general and just pick them off from afar.
Arzt: What if Rosa and Cherry aren't okay with that?
Millant: Then we kill them first.
Arzt: ...
D:
Millant: What, you don't have any grudge against Rosa for cutting off your ear?
Arzt: Uh... having lopsided glasses is annoying
but I think I could figure out something to fix that
and uhm
she was nice before that :|
Besides, I disobeyed her!
I think I'm just glad she didn't take off a finger, because I like playing piano and a missing finger would require a greater adjustment to my lifestyle.
And I disobeyed her.
Millant: Great, I'm officially worried about you.
I guess I can understand why you wouldn't want to kill Cherry, since she hasn't really done anything, right?
Arzt: She's really nice :(
Millant: Who do you want to see dead after we take care of Jay and Mary?
Ring doesn't seem like much of a threat, so I think I'll spare her. Just for fun.
Arzt: Fun?
Millant: :P
Arzt: Okay, I'm worried about YOU now.
But uhm anyways
I think we should find a way to take out Simon while he's still recovering
Seriously, Jay fucking stabbed him in the neck with a piece of glass AND HE ISN'T FUCKING DEAD
HOW IS THIS FAIR
Millant: Okay. Next?
Arzt: Would killing Tear count as a mercy kill?
Millant: ...
Arzt: I mean, she doesn't want to play the game.
Millant: You kind of sort of maybe have a point there.
Arzt: And I don't know enough about the others to know who needs to get knocked off first.
Millant: Great. Let's just kill them in random order then.
Arzt: But
but
Assuming we're successful
And we're the last ones left
...
Millant: We have a fight to the death.
Arzt: .......
Millant: It'll be fun!
Arzt: Sure.
Millant: <3
Arzt: ....
She chuckles quietly to herself as she returns the phone to her purse. Yes, after working together to kill off everyone else, honing their skills, learning how the other thinks and feels... the final battle would be interesting.
But that's not something to think about now. Millant sets her purse aside and opens her palms. She wills sparks to form. After a few bright flashes and muttered curses, she has two small flames burning in her palms. The warmth is tickling, somewhat pleasant. She repeats the process until she can summon the fire at ease, and more of it. Soon, she can shape flames from both palms into orbs that she can toss around.
That should be enough for today.
Millant clears a space on the ground and sleeps, using her purse as a pillow.
That girl is fucking nuts.
"Rosa, I think she's right. I should get some rest."
Arzt hurries back to his room and curls up in a tight ball on the bed.
Fucking nuts.

The last battle's curtains will open on stage!Tuner had planned to wash his face, but then he found out there were two other men in the bathroom, and he felt stupid. So he locked himself behind a door -ha ha, I can because I'm rich- and just stood there. He had emptied his bladder about an hour ago, so he couldn't even pee to kill time. So he waited- still feeling pretty stupid, but at least he now wasn't pretentious.
He tried not to think of Dean, Sally, and especially the conversation he'd had. Too depressing. Which left...the floor, Rubber, and- and Maxwell. Huh.
He took his time washing his hands. The name soundest like one of a scientist, a physicist or something. It didn't sound important, but he had a feeling of anticipation. As if he'd heard half a joke and was waiting for the punchline.
He returned to the table and pulled out his phone.
"Does anyone here know who the hell was Maxwell?"
Monaco, Rosa's Hotel Room
". . . Ah, Arzt, please wait a sec-" But Rosa was cut off as he hurried out of the room.
My, how annoying it all was, everyone popping in and out again and again before she could squeeze a word in edgewise.
. . . She found being alone in this hospital room to be even more annoying.
She noticed an extra set of clothes had been set near her bed. . . Probably by her grandfather. Though she wanted nothing to do with the man, they'd have to do for now.
She couldn't just waste time sitting around in this hospital. She had to do. . . Well, something. Even if it still hurt, she wasn't going to remain an easy target for individuals with murderous intent. And even then. . . Meeting her grandfather, connecting him to that flashback, and simply the look in his eyes and the way he spoke. . . It ignited something in her. She didn't know quite what, but she decided that now she was going to act on instinct, even if it was something small and selfish, or not productive at all.
She hoisted herself out of bed with much effort, squeaking in pain slightly as her chest and stomach throbbed. Regaining herself, she disconnected any IV's and medical equipment keeping her down and put on the clothes. Not exactly the most mobile outfit, but it'd work for now. She didn't care if it got ripped and dirty. Starting today, she was going to distance herself as far away from "Charlotte" and her damn family as she could.
She checked the door to ensure it was locked, and then managed to pry open the window. Two stories up, but she could easily use the nearby tree to climb down undetected. She grabbed her purse, which contained her phone, card. . . And that rosary that was her namesake. She took it out, and looked it over real quick. It was likely given to her by that wretched man. Deciding it'd served its purpose, she tossed it aside onto the bed and made her way out the window and away from that hospital, making sure no one had seen her make her leave.
Monaco, OCMPA
"Heheh... I know. Magic or hard sciences, both boil down to countless sleepless hours of hard work," She yawned again, "So. . . What was it you wanted again?"
OCMPA HQ, Cole
"Hmm Hm? Oh, you think so? O-kay, then~! Leave it to me! I'll let Sammy* or Birdie* know and they'll put someone on the job right away~!" Cole replied with enthusiasm.
“DAMMIT WHEN I HEAR 'SPACE CQC' ALL I CAN THINK OF IS BIG BOSS WITH A FISHBOWL ON HIS HEAD, STRANGLING AN ASTRONAUT OUTSIDE THE ISS."I wonder if this is what it's like for Andrew Hussie typing up all those Pesterlogs in Homestuck.
Hospital
No, he's not that sleepy.
The nurses had insisted on putting that horrible IV on him again, when they thought he was asleep. As soon as they left, Arzt took it out. It was starting to hurt. Maybe he should talk to Rosa. She was probably getting—
Her room is empty.
OH GOD OH GOD OH GOD
DON'T FUCKING SCARE ME
Millant: I'm busy. You almost made me set a few crates on fire just now.
Arzt: WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU'RE BUSY MY TEAMMATE AND BY EXTENSION SOMEONE YOU ARE NOT TRYING TO KILL JUST FUCKING DISAPPEARED
SHE'S NOT SUPPOSED TO BE RUNNING AROUND DOING STUPID SHIT
SHE'S SUPPOSED TO BE RECOVERING FROM MOTHERFUCKING SURGERY FROM INJURIES INFLICTED BY SOMEONE I ATTACKED WHO WOULDN'T HAVE BEEN DOING THIS OTHERWISE AND THEREFORE THIS IS MY FAULT
OH GOD WHAT IF SHE'S STILL MAD AT ME BECAUSE SHE KNOWS I DON'T REALLY CARE ABOUT MY EAR
Millant: CALM THE FUCK DOWN
Arzt: D:
What if she doesn't trust us anymore because we just had that really weird long conversation via text message and I immediately left her room after that?
Millant: Then she's being smart and I don't blame her.
Just explain it to her.
I bet she knows you're scatterbrained, so she probably won't think too much of it.
Arzt: I can't explain that fucking conversation!
Millant: Why not?
Arzt: We were plotting to kill everyone!
Millant: ಠ_ಠ
Arzt: I don't see that symbol anywhere on the keyboard.
Where'd you find it?
Did you download a German keyboard? That would be convenient.
Millant: ಠ_ಠ
I copied and pasted it from the Internet to express my extreme disdain for your stupidity.
Arzt: ಠ_ಠ Oh come on
Millant: You should know that character is not used in German. Er, not commonly, at least.
Arzt: Or is it? ಠ_ಠ
Millant: Stop.
If it's so important to you, find Rosa and tell her what's going on.
Arzt: But like
Millant: Just don't tell her that she just happens to be the last on our kill list. Or that we have a kill list outside of my team.
Aaaanyway while you resolve your petty moral issues I'm going to find a way to ambush Jay or something.
I wonder if his blood is tasty. I could ask Rosa.
Arzt: What
What
What
Millant: You are so gullible and easily disturbed.
Arzt: Oh God
ARE WE ALL VAMPIRES
OH GOD I JUST CAME UP WITH A CONSPIRACY THEORY WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME
Millant: I'm fucking with you.
Because it is apparently waaaay too easy.
Arzt: ಠ_ಠ
Millant: I'm so sorry I ever used that emoticon in the first place.
Arzt: I'm going to try to find out what Rosa's doing and you just keep... uh... planning how to kill Jay.
Millant: You know I will.
Millant: We'll end this game the last ones left, I promise <3
And the final battle is going to be so much fun <3
This is a game, after all.
Of death.
But it's still a game.
<333
Arzt: Before I go
I must say I heartily disapprove of your blood/ murder fetish and don't get me into it.
I mean I want to survive too, but... yeah.
Millant: Just as I disapprove of your cat fetish and don't want to get into it.
Arzt: HEY NOW WAIT A SECOND
WAIT ARE YOU ADMITTING TO YOUR BLOOD/ MURDER FETISH
Millant: Don't startle me and make me drop another fireball. I'll text to you when I'm ready to do so.
Arzt checks for a reply from Rosa.
Fucking psycho bitch.
Okay. He could probably use her to help eliminate his enemies. Like Jay and Mary. And then they'll probably just go through the targets and hunters and such, as is logical. But as he doesn't need her anymore, he'll zap her in her sleep or something and strangle her. Or lead her into a trap.
The last battle's curtains will open on stage!Well, here he was. He was walking down a public sidewalk with a Japanese bobtail purring contentedly atop his shoulders.
How that came to be was a funny story, admittedly; while waiting for Redd to come out, he heard scratching and meowing at the door to the hallway. He answered the door to discover the Japanese bobtail from the day before gazing up at him with round doe eyes. Even as he picked the cat up and proceeded to leave with it climbing up his great coat, the boy still didn't stir.
Whatever, it was his loss.
Ahead, Adrian caught sight of the hospital where so many of his fellow contestants lay due to ill-advised scuffles. Arzt, Miss Rosa, and... a few others that he could admittedly care less about. The block came and went.
...Oh, what's this? An escape from the hospital. How long had she been there, two, three days?
The cat began to fidget for some odd reason, poking his cheek with a soft paw. Adrian swatted her paw back to her, and she hopped off of his shoulders and began trotting off down the sidewalk. When he looked back, she was nowhere to be seen.
He shrugged and went on his way.
Matt slipped out through a side door, cautiously checking his surroundings for that... nurse.
Well, in reality, his eyes just went blank as he retreated away to feel for her with his ring. And he couldn't feel her. Good, she was gone.
He straightened up and returned to the sidewalk, continuing like a normal person only to discover... Kunstler.
Casually, he approached his former teacher. Perhaps he could convince the guy to go find a piano.

"Jack, you have debauched my sloth."Monaco, Rosa
As Rosa was making her way away from the hospital, she heard her phone in her purse. She looked at the text, from Arzt. Damn, she'd hoped he'd been asleep longer. Eh, might as well send him a text to assure him she's alive. Maybe she'd be a bit humorous about it. First step towards not being a Mafia Princess.
As she sent the message and put her phone away, she continued on her way with no set plans in particular. She needed a temporary escape from this mess, needed to just not worry about it for a bit and just do whatever the hell she wanted for a few hours.

“DAMMIT WHEN I HEAR 'SPACE CQC' ALL I CAN THINK OF IS BIG BOSS WITH A FISHBOWL ON HIS HEAD, STRANGLING AN ASTRONAUT OUTSIDE THE ISS."Wait wait what old geezer is it that visitor you mentioned?
That sounds really scary please be careful ;;
Anyway I don't really like the hospital either so I'm coming out too.
And Jay is still here I think so that makes me very nervous D:
Arzt returns to his room and puts on his normal clothes. The blood is mostly washed off, but there are so many similar stains on his brown coat that it doesn't make much of a difference to him.
And so will I :D
Millant: Great. Meet me downtown for lunch.
There are lots of shops nearby, so keep yourself occupied while you wait for me.
Arzt: k
He takes a taxi downtown and—
Oh. A music store.
Oh hell yes.
The last battle's curtains will open on stage!Dominik put a few more sniper rounds down into the targets about a mile and a half away. He'd heard that familiar rumbling. his stomach. He'd put the rifle back in the rack where he'd gotten it from. Food Dom Thought. Feeling lazy and didn't want to walk all the way into town so he decided to head back up to his room and gorge himself on snack foods hidden about the room in his cupboards of the kitchen thing
I used to be good at Roleplaying.. But then I took an Arrow to the knee...Monaco, OCMPA
"Oh, right. Sorry about that," Vive replied, sounding rather embarrassed, "So. . . What update did you get on John and his group?"
OCMPA HQ, Belgium
A couple more hours passed, and people finished their business they were attending to. The headquarters still seemed rather empty, what with almost everyone else dispatched on business or the less combat-oriented members busily toiling away at formidable mountains of paperwork.
However, something did seem rather odd. If one paid attention to look outside, one would notice that an abnormal amount of crows had flocked to the exterior of the grounds, perched upon the buildings or searching for food on the ground. There seemed to be a bit of noise coming from a somewhat large room situated on the main floor. All of a sudden, the place went dark with a small crack and an unnatural humming noise was heard for a brief second before returning to normal.
As a brief note for OCMPA Players: The following exchange might be overheard by anyone that comes to investigate the disturbance
A few minutes later, Ms. Amarante and a petite, strawberry-blonde woman with a crow perched on her shoulder stepped out of the room and met with other individuals - Kota, Mina, Drake, a very tall and large-framed Atlantean that didn't seem to be part of OCMPA, a hooded individual wearing a mask, and, against all logic, CHIMERA of all people.
"I believe successful the ritual was?" the Atlantean, who seemed to be struggling with English syntax, inquired.
The blonde woman nodded as she gave her crow a small stroke, "Yes, for now," she replied, sounding slightly weary from stress and physical exhaustion, "For now, anyways. I'm not sure how long this mechanism will hold up, or how long she'll be able to survive."
"At worst, we would be delaying the inevitable. At best, stalling for just enough time to eradicate this John fellow and fix this fine mess he's made," CHIMERA commented, his tone filled with venom at the mention of John's name, "Playing with people as if they were toys, children included, endangering the very fabric of our existence with that stunt of his in DC. . ."
"CHIMERA. I wish to formally apologize for my organization's pursuit of you for all of these past years. I had not realized the true role you played in all of this. Nor had I realized the connection you held to Mrs. Cline and even some of my own lieutenants." said Ms. Amarante as she glanced over at Kota and Mina.
"Oh, no, it was no trouble at all," He replied, "You were simply doing your job, and it helped me keep my real purpose hidden. You can go ahead and arrest me after this, if you please. It's the very least I deserve after what I've done to Natalie and for what I had planned for Alex. Truly, I didn't take into account their own feelings on the matter, regardless of the ultimate purpose."
Kota decided to shift it back to the topic on-hand, "So, Samara. Any specific orders regarding this room here?"
"Yes. Actually." she stated, "I would like to have it labeled as a restricted zone. No one enters or leaves without permission. A dying demon would only incite panic. Especially in those that know the full implications of what that would entail."
The masked figure spoke up, "And. . . As for Pr- Alex Mandal? They seem to have a pretty strong bond, or at least the desire for one."
"No. It's far too risky." Ms. Amarante replied, "Mandal is far too emotional in regards to her. Even the possibility of her being in the state she's in makes him dangerously unstable. And while I'm at it. Explosively destructive. The reality could result in something far more dangerous."
The masked individual nodded, before letting out a sigh, "Nice to see he still likes blowing buildings up. And the others?"
"Later, kiddo," Kota said with a grin as he slapped a hand on the masked person's shoulder, "For now, you gotta focus on seeing what Johnny-boy's cooking up and fixing this. Even if you're not strong enough to kill 'im, I know you can outsmart him. So get going."
"Yeah, I can barely keep this up. I'll have to go either non-solid or an animal during my little spy trip," He commented, "Well, I'll be seeing you guys when I get anymore information. Au revoir."
And with that, the masked individual vanished in a cloud of black smoke as the rest of the group got ready to disperse and head their opposite ways.

“DAMMIT WHEN I HEAR 'SPACE CQC' ALL I CAN THINK OF IS BIG BOSS WITH A FISHBOWL ON HIS HEAD, STRANGLING AN ASTRONAUT OUTSIDE THE ISS."Demon feels the rumbling as he thinks over all that's happened in his bed. "Of course. What's going to happen now? A meteor? Prossy blowing this building up for fun?"
He stands up and starts to investigate. Ritual? What the...I'll ask Bryon later. Hopefully he'll tell the truth.

Mandal slid quietly through the hallways, glancing around. Focus. He could be here.
It was always the first conclusion he jumped to when there was any kind of disturbance. Happens when you realize you're a reality bending psychopath's enemy. Happens when you have a sister to protect from that psychomath.
-What about Pr-Mandal? They seem to have a strong bond-
So, when his name came up in a conversation, he automatically assumed the worst.
John, you son of a bitch... if you harm her, I'll hang you with your own entrails!
-Too emotional-
Of course I'm emotional! She's the only family I-
Focus, Alex... you don't know that they're talking about her. It could be someone else, and your suspicions can be confirmed or dismissed with a single phone call.
Heaving a sigh, Alex nodded. He hated it, but Prosecution was right. Emotion can be counter productive in some respects.
Which is exactly they didn't want you to know.
Alex sighed, slumping down into a sitting position.
Sometimes, this just got so... tiring.
It's kind of funny. Sufficiently advanced stupidity is like sufficiently advanced science; eventually, you find something you can't solve."Sorry. Zoned out there." said Dean, snapping his head forward. "I don't know anythinf about a Maxwell or whoever, Tuner, sorry. Maybe we should meet up with Arzt and his friends. I was under the impression they were also fairly sane."

The Westin
Washington, D.C.
Date: April 7, 2011
Ryu flipped through the mass of paperclipped pages in his file, tapping his fingernail idly on the glass desktop as his good eye scanned across the strewn photographs. A knock at his door alerted him to a visitor. When he glanced at the clock, it said that it was nearly nine. He sighed in annoyance. He got up and dragged himself to the door's peephole, then opened the door without even a thought. What he suspected to be his twin brother stood before him in the hallway.
The man had a stiff, dignified air, of course with features seemingly identical to his own.
He began to speak. "Hello, Ryu."
Ryu gave him a small nod and let him in, glancing at the ominous-looking briefcase every now and again as he did so. The two men exchanged formal handshakes and greetings in the meantime, and Sora seated himself in the armchair in the corner.
"I trust you've met your son already?" He laid his hands near the clips of his briefcase as it sat on his lap.
"Yeah, why?" Ryu sat on the bed nearby. "There something I should know about?"
Even in the chair, he sat up completely straight. "Why, yes." Sora opened the case and removed yet another file folder from the top and handed it to him. He took it and opened it to the front. Skimming the paragraphs of dense legal language, he got to what he wanted.
Apparently, his son had a criminal record as a juvenile. The boy got involved with the wrong people and was apparently sympathetic to the gangs of early nineties New York. His eyes seemed to seethe with anger and disappointment as he read over the transcripts of the legal proceedings, until he turned to the photographs. One was a Polaroid of his son in the hospital, recovering from a gunshot, as it stated on the photo. He had ignored the other one for far too long, though logic would dictate that one's attention should go to it first due to its size- Shinji's mugshot.
The present day
[park]
Deep in the park where Matt played his violin that morning, Daisuke played with Luka's dog with Luka himself, Sora, and Lien keeping watch. The only thing was that the Emil was massive, ferocious-looking, and covered in shaggy black fur. Any semblance of perceived fearsomeness was nonexistent as it reclined happily from the boy scratching its stomach.
The three supervising adults sat on a nearby bench, Luka's hawk clinging to the top with its talons.
"So..." Luka began, "We just wait?"
Sora turned to him. "Yes, until something happens."
He sighed. This was going to be boring.
[villa]
"Heh. The life of a scientist, y'know?"
[hospital]
Matt smiled awkwardly, giving them a quick nod.
He turned around and closed the door behind him without a word, then scurried to the elevator.
