Sentient beings, but even the Council themselves acknowledge that they have some uncontrolled elements. If all you know of the demons are the killers and the heartless users, why should you believe one that claims they're completely innocent?
I was in remedial penmanship myself. My writing was shaky and barely legible through most of elementary school. I retaught myself as an adult and I've been told I have pretty good handwriting, to the point where people would pick me to write on the board for the group in college. Maybe I just needed the time to gain coordination and have my brain not outrace my hand.
Yeah, when you find out there's a secret society dedicated to keeping demons and vampires a secret you aren't going to assume they're benevolent.
Pixel's gonna feel bad when she realizes that the reason Sydney didn't answer verbally was because she's physically incapable of doing so.
Well... that went less than well, although it's not that uncommon for this story's heroes to start out on the wrong foot before they rally.
New strip. How to make best use of a minor power.
= Spindriver =And Aranea is really making the most of using her opponents to tie up each other...
New strip, explaining the uncanny ability of recurring opponents to get away; heroes are idiots and/or writers can't resist a gag.
= Spindriver =SWAP. And it appears that Dabbler has arrived.
It amuses me that Sydney grows paler the longer this goes on.
When racial stereotypes aren't all wrong...
Sydney is still looking a bit loopy. Part of me is wondering if that's the alcohol asserting itself now that she's adrenaline crashing.
I'm not sure that a mix of alcohol, anesthetics and adrenaline wouldn't leave most people a bit loopy.
= Spindriver =Loopier in her case.
This is one of those tricky topics when it comes to profiling. People often comment on things like racial profiling of Muslims by pointing out that white males tend to be more dangerous in general. And, well, correspondingly there are campaigns warning you that all men are (potential) predators, with the degree of potentiality indicated varying on how vehement someone is on the subject.
Ultimately, I think you have to take every individual as themselves, but there is some value in considering what you've heard about their demographic as information to consider. The catch, of course, is that humans have a really hard time changing their minds, no matter how they might think otherwise.
From what little we've seen of them demons in this universe aren't neccesarily evil but they definitely seem chaotic
Trump delenda estMy guess would be that it's a Proud Warrior Race situation. They generally love conflict, have started wars for stupid reasons, and often have magical powers specifically tailored for war and corruption and all that other stuff. Wouldn't be that hard for people to make some assumptions about them all being evil, and on Earth there's been no widespread campaign to counter that propaganda.
They might also get a comparison to the Alari, who were an expansionist empire but also had plenty of innocent civilians getting screwed over by their leaders.
The apostrophe positioning (and this being Dabbler) makes me read that as "Big hole butt" instead of "Big ole but"...
So, in this comic, reality is just the filling in an astral sandwich.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.Who else wants them to go to the dimension of "Other Stuff Don't Worry About it"?
Trump delenda estIt has absolutely nothing to do with the story right now, but I think that's the most I laughed from this comic in months.
While it might not be pertinent yet, the fact that one does not need to be alive or human to activate the gestalt power is something to keep in mind in the future.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.
Interesting. In Brazil, we just learn both as we grow up. Basically everybody who's learned to read and write can do so in cursive or print.
I can't deny I struggled to make my cursive look good, though. As was pointed out, it's not a type of writing that looks good when done in a rush.
