I think that's why most of us are here for the long run.

"Just wants a friend but had to give up his ding dong for it, tragic." - AngelLightStarIn fact, in GX I still played the Blue Falcon when I had several custom (and hideous) vehicles. The game was a great racer, with amazing visuals; had a terrible machine creator tool.
Also it's the only game I've ever played where I had to pay for the story mode.
EDIT: I mean the only non-bioware game! HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Yeah, I mainly stuck to the Blue Falcon myself. It's a bit better than its stats indicate, and having to use it in Story Mode made me accustomed to it.
"Just wants a friend but had to give up his ding dong for it, tragic." - AngelLightStarI remember playing the original F-Zero on my* SNES. Fucking fantastic. I loved every minute of it.
X during some time on the N64, but it was until GX where my love for the franchise was cemented. It was just... awe inducing. That being said, the story mode was balls bustingly hard. I liked it. I remember getting a chuckle out of "Captain Famicom".
Never managed to unlock AX, though :/ shame.
Sadly, the create-a-ship mode never worked for me. It always got stuck, so I could never make my super cool awesome ship.

Oh. Yeah, that would be a problem.
My Rave Wolf-Z was pretty rad, though. Cranking it up to top speed makes it unsteerable, but it was pretty cool-looking and usually handled well.

What? Why would they do that?

"Just wants a friend but had to give up his ding dong for it, tragic." - AngelLightStarThat is indeed a problem. I'm not saying that they all deserve to have racetracks, but some of those other planets should be seen (perhaps in a prologue cutscene or something along those lines).
"Just wants a friend but had to give up his ding dong for it, tragic." - AngelLightStarThere are mermaids on Big Blue?
Well, it wouldn't be out of place in a setting with superheroes, aliens, a genetically engineered T-rex, a space princess...
"Just wants a friend but had to give up his ding dong for it, tragic." - AngelLightStarI've played the original, X, and GX, and I gotta say that F-Zero is easily my favorite racing franchise. GX is one of the few games I've played that I actually feel like I'm good at, as I somehow didn't have that much difficulty with anything in the game. Aside from Mission 7 (which I managed to beat on Very Hard on my fifth try, albeit with permanent rage scars on my face), I unlocked everything in the game after about one week of on-and-off play. Despite the difficulty level, I actually found some of the Story missions enjoyable enough that I played them over again just for fun. My favorite had to be the one (can't remember the number) where Black Shadow rigged a bomb to the ol' Captain's vehicle and you had to navigate a tight course without slowing down. I still have the game and could play it anytime, but I last touched it about three years ago on account of having done everything there is to do. Now I'm just impatiently waiting for news on a new installment.
That was Mission 6.
Not a bad mission, but not without its fair share of frustration either. That being said, it did help give us The Tale Of Sephiroth Goku The Stampede.
"Just wants a friend but had to give up his ding dong for it, tragic." - AngelLightStarTell me about it. One and done. Quoth the raven, "Nevermore."

I only play the Blue Falcon because I only bought the game for Falcon.
