ace shuddered slightly and nervously smiled.
"Oh, so he does exist in your world... Just checking..." Ace said swiftly, he didn't really want to offend, or make the guy mad considering he knew a thing or two about converting Indian curry into intense beams of rage.
"I-I also come form Earth, I even have teammates from New York. There's even an order of Gurus sort of like you, with the chi and all that, they just.. wear less clothes and don't use fire. One of my old friends became one." He then turned to Amaranth slowly.
"Online games like World Of Warcraft? That stuff people waste countless metric tons of money and social lives playing?" Ace asked curiously.

The Blog The ArtRavindra shrugged it off, he may not be a pacifist and kills people for a living (in horrendously painful ways one might add) but ultimately he's a monk and therefore quite level headed.
"It's fine" The monk closed his eyes and made a gesture with his lips. "A group of Gurus in New York?" Not that he has ever heard of, though then again for all his fighting prowess he didn't have a whole lot of worldly experience having spent almost all his life in a temple studying martial arts 24/7 "Hmm...I don't know of any, unless...maybe that actor John Carlton but..he doesn't strike me as one, and then again I think he's from Los Angeles." This was all very confusing, it sounded like he should know what these people were talking about but he didn't for some reason.
"Games?" He glanced at the priestess looking girl "We didn't have much time to play, what with the almost total annihilation of the human race and all." It would interfere with free time one would imagine.
"How about this? Are any of you familiar with the Mortal Kombat tournament?"

"Sort of... although I've never heard of the game you're talking about. I think you might have figured it out already; I was somehow taken here in the form of my character. In fact, that kind of makes sense, as I was playing the game at the time..."
WoW was released on November 23, 2004. However, on December 24, 2005 in the .hack//verse, a virus later called Pluto's Kiss brought down the entire Internet for a little over an hour, which caused the US' nuclear weapons systems to arm. This, in turn, caused all non-government-or-business Internet activity to be heavily restricted, which caused online gaming to die out until "The World" was released later. Cheryl probably wouldn't have been interested in video games around that time ('04-'05), and it was several years ago, which is why she doesn't know about it.
"...and no, I don't think I've heard anything about 'Mortal Kombat'."

"Only now, after being besieged by a flock of talking ponies, did he really understand what he'd lost. ""It seems like most of us are coming from the same world then. Just diffrent versions of it. In my world Vampires and Eldritch Abominations called the elder exists though they are kept secret. I used to work for and Organization called the B.V.I who dealt with crimes related to them. And for those who are intrested B.V.I stands for Bureau of Vampire Invesitgations. Yes I used to be a vampire cop. Then some time ago I was transported over here." Francis explained and glared at the monk "I do hope that some hostilities have calmed down now then?"

"I came here through a portal device called a Chaos Gate, but millions of players use the one I went through every day. This is the first time I've heard of it taking someone to a place other than their intended destination."
"Only now, after being besieged by a flock of talking ponies, did he really understand what he'd lost. "Ravindra crossed his arms and nodded at Francis' explanation "It would appear so, yes. It's the only way to explain why we all seem to come from Earth yet haven't heard of each others' organizations. The New York from my Earth for example lays in ruins." He thought for a minute about this, while crossing from realm to realm was not unheard of where he's from it seems that he had transverse dimensions rather than simple planets.
The vampire then broke his concentration and he gave him a wry smile "Yes, sorry about the ribs, I had no idea you were a cop."
At Shelia's suggestion he nodded again. "Same here, I too traveled through a portal though my initial destination was a place called Outworld, not whatever this place is."
"Yeah, makes sense, different worlds and all, I mean New York in my world is... well... it's New York." Ace laughed despite himself as his card floated him in a circle around the group.
"And the portal thing? Well, my rival nemesis person has the power to create portals and uh, he was trying to save us during an explosion," Ace said, not really perturbed, simply calm. "Actually, now that I think about it, They probably think I'm dead over there.... Hm, not good."
The Blog The Art"Sadly no, though I've heard of England." Responded Ravindra as Dean explained himself "And if you exploded how are you still alive? Or..." Sudden realization "Maybe this is the after life?" Food for thought.
"No, it couldn't be, Sheeva's fireball definitely missed me as I entered the portal." There was denying in his voice but he also sounded uncertain, more like he was trying to convince himself than completely sure about it.
He took a deep breath and listened to Ace thinking of something that perturbed him. "It is clear what me must do then Mr. Spellbound. We all need to find a way to get back, I not know about the rest of you but I left many things undone in my home realm." The monk looked at his own hand "The Emperor is still alive and I shall not rest until I have his beating black heart in my palm." Said he before making a hard squeezing motion.
"I have a little sister and like twenty superpowered pupils looking for my guidance.... And that Messiah creep trying to tempt them. And my bastard Cousin!" Ace said with suddenly renewed energy. He grabbed Ravindra's hand and held it firmly.
"Kindred spirit, we are finding a way home!" Ace proclaimed dramatically.
The Blog The Art"I'm stuck here as well. If I was still in the game, I could just log out... but I can't. Let's work together. I'm sure my husband is worried about me... whoever he is..."
Amaranth briefly wondered how helpful she was going to be. Without more equipment and levels, her abilities were far less varied and powerful than those of... probably anyone else here.
Please tell me there are going to be treasure chests and randomly dropped items.

"Only now, after being besieged by a flock of talking ponies, did he really understand what he'd lost. ""Well, what's the plan? Looks like there's sone civilisation over there."
Dean pointed at the city being rebuilt. It was hard to miss.
"We've also got a Hog back there. That's a car, to the rest of you. I think we totalled it though."
Curse the ill fortune that led you to me."Ah, don't worry about cars, when I can show you the world shinning shimmering splendid." Ace said with a slight sing song tone. "Over, sideways, and under on a magic carpet ride." He moved his hands in a fanciful manner and soon the card he was riding upon expanded to the width and length on an RV.
"The card seats many."
The Blog The ArtRavindra was now glad that he didn't shoot all of Ace's cards, though likely the magician had plenty more where those came from.
"You've proven quite resourceful so far Mr. Spellbound." The monk tested the card a little to see if it was solid and then hoped in taking a lotus flower sitting position.

test woot, it works
"Unlike him....I'm no pacifist" There was suddenly an intense glare from the monk, like the one he had given Francis earlier. "So I recommend you don't tarnish his good name in my presence."
Anyone that could feel chi or spiritual energy could sense the monk's aura fluctuating, twisting into something horrible as all manner of negative energies filled his body. This was a man who clearly had blood in his hands and wouldn't hesitate to stain them again. Needless to say he hadn't appreciated that jab to the most respected man of his country.
Just as soon as it came, the energy dissipated and the monk returned to his pleasant kindly smiling self. "Earth..realm?" He seemed to ponder Amaranth's answer as it sounded familiar to him and tested the waters to try and deduce where she was from. "Is there a place called New York in your Earth's America? I was there moments before appearing here."
Then he blinked when Amaranth continued on to say that's not her real body. "It isn't?" That requires further explanation.
