Everythings Worse With Snowclones. I think one of the existing redirects will do fine.
Speaking words of fandom: let it squee, let it squee. On further thought, even though its technically a pre-existing term, its really a bad snowclone, and doesn't really follow from the other tropes (Tsundere, Kuudere, Yandere).
I'm all for renaming, since "Cute But Psycho" really sums it up quite nicely.
Because we don't leave things alone when they aren't working. This trope isn't working in the sense that it's not managing to get out of fandom specific wiks despite being a general term.
That said, I really like Cute But Psycho.
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickI like Cute But Psycho, but I can't help but suggest Crouching Cutie Hidden Psycho also.
I thought the psycho being hidden was the entire point?
EDIT: And it seems clear that its being under-used in non anime media, but I'd still like to know if its being misused (or vice versa) for Yandere. I'm going to do a quick informal check.

"You want to see how a human dies? At ramming speed." - Emily Wong.Huh. Glanced through about ten wicks, and I don't see much confusion with Yandere.
Anyway, I'm on board with the rename, since even my quick check proved its not really being used outside anime.
Writing a post-post apocalypse LitRPG on RR. Also fanfic stuff. Its not "hidden" being the key its the personality switching. She can be calm, cute, goofy, etc one sec then Crazy the next then back again after that. Sometimes its a psychological thing that sets them off sometimes they are just that whenever they want.
Unlike Yandere which requires a Love Interest to set this off Yangire could be anything or nothing.
Sparkling and glittering! Jan-Ken-Pon!Again, from reading the definition, that's not what I'm understanding of the trope.
"You want to see how a human dies? At ramming speed." - Emily Wong. Are we reading the same trope? That's what it says.

Sparkling and glittering! Jan-Ken-Pon!The trope description does not mention that a character switches constantly back and forth. I'm sure it could be played that way, but the description itself imo lends itself to introduced-as-cute-but-turns-and-stays-psycho.

"You want to see how a human dies? At ramming speed." - Emily Wong.I'm not seeing anything in the description that makes me think its limited either way. Can anyone point to the exact words that are making them think that A) switching back-and-forth is required, B) switching back-and-forth is not allowed, or even C) the possibility of switching is hidden? I don't see any of that.
Speaking words of fandom: let it squee, let it squee.I don't even see where it has to be even a case of either being hidden (unless one considers a cute facade to be by default hiding; I personally don't) or switching between different roles.
I mean, the core of the trope itself is that the character is described with two adjectives and an adverb - cute and dangerously insane. Is there really anything else to this?
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.
And Cute But Psycho basically means the same thing, but is a little more concise.
(YMMV on which is more clear; I think they're pretty equal.)
Speaking words of fandom: let it squee, let it squee. The trope name should use "and" instead of "but" - if you use "but," that implies that the latter is somehow an unexpected turn of events compared to the former. I've seen enough cute people and things being so crazy that I was worried for my well-being to think that the two concepts would be a surprising combination.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.I think the "but" emphasizes the "one minute (s)he's cute, the next (s)he's Axe-Crazy" aspect of the trope. Using "and" would suggest that both aspects always co-exist, which is not necessarily the case (some of them stop being cute when they go off, especially if they end up knee-deep in blood and gore with their fangs showing).
But I don't feel strongly either way.

What would be the best way to fix the page?

I'd like to suggest renaming to Stepford Psycho or Stepford Slasher. Or Stepford Lover/pacifist/friend. (Sorry, I'm a bit sleepy, and can't remember how the name bends.) That way, it'll be easier to understand by association, and it'll smell shiney and new.
