Anima: Black and silver, with the appearance of fanged mouths appearing, melting, and reforming. At lower stages of the anima banner, a distant booming can be heard, like the footsteps of a huge creature. At it full level, a thunderous roaring fills the air. (Think the T-Rex's roar from Jurassic Park)
Motivation: Protect the returning Sun Kings from harm.
Intimacies: Leviathan, his Tribe in the south, The Worker of Miracles (His Exaltations Solar counterpart).
Great Curse: The Curse of the Raging Bull
Appearance: In Human form, Bezemouns is a large, dark-skinned man. He yellow eyes, no hair, and a grim, hard face that suggests a life of hardship. His spirit shape is a huge, black scaled tyrant lizard. His War Form is a 12-foot tall, black-scaled Tyrannosaur-man. In all of his forms he has a blotchy, crimson birthmark that spread across most of his throat.
Outfit: Loose fitting, sand yellow traveling cloaks that cover his moonsilver armor and birthmark. He casts the cloak off when shifting forms.
Personality: Bezemouns doesn't say a great deal, usually communicating in gestures if possible, monosyllables if not. He gets visibly irritated if forced into long conversations.
History: Bezemouns left his tribe in the far South when he Exalted, believing himself to be wyld-tainted and not wishing to indanger his people. When he reached the Coast in the Southwest, he was found by a pack of Lunars working for Leviathan. Once tattooed, he quickly found himself working for Leviathan as well. The Elder Lunar has sent Bezemouns to investigate this newly rediscovered continent beyond the Pole of Water.
Benefits: Bezemouns is a practitioner of the Earth Dragon Celestial Martial Art. He Also has the Devastating Ogre Enhancement, and Towering Beast Form knacks. He has taken few Heartblood forms, only a shark and a hawk. He has a White Jade Grand Goremaul that he took from a Wyld Hunt, although he has only a minimal attunement to it.

Which seems likely. On another forum, Mn M seems likely and my needs to try both seems to be satisfied.
If you play a Terrestrial, you're weaker then the Celestials but for some reason, as a PC, you are the favored of the Elemental Dragons and you attract weaker Dragonblooded to follow you. No more than six, enough to have one of every aspect and another of your own aspect since those are the sort you attract. And as the Celestials will grew rapidly in power, you will grow more slowly but will gather more followers to boot. These are mostly NP Cs under your command and while I encourage you to give them names and flavor, they should mostly be in the background except when you need them.
- Name: Freydolf, The Unstoppable Conquering and Victorious Flame or The Conqueror Whos Victories Spread Like Unstoppable Fires
- Exaltation: Terrestrial, Fire Aspect. He is off those who have attained the special favor of the Immaculate Dragons, becoming a 'Dragon Lord'. While seemingly no different then any other Terrestrial, his Breeding is inexplicably pure and lesser Dragonblooded flock to his side.
- Anima: The fire that surrounds him take the vague shape of a muscular four-armed humanoid with a spherical head like the sun in those space photos. It represents his unconquered ego.
- Motivation: Conquer Everything
- Intimacies: His girls, The tribes he left behind, Mortals
- Appearance: Often he would dress in thick layers skins from creatures he and his army slew: The head and tail of a Lunar chimera that took the form of a giant wolf as a hood and cloak, the tail feathers of another Lunar chimera, the tongue of a mad Dragon King as a loinclothe and a simple pair of puffy black pants. Except for the pants, all of these have been inexplicably dyed red by his anima. If in warm weather, he'll strip down to the waist. Like any self-respecting Fire Aspect Dragonblooded, his deep cherry red hair does it damndest to immitate the shape of a burning flame but his is more like the one at the end of a match, meaning his hair bulges around his head and then tampers at the top at a point. He also has a goatee that looks like his hair writ small and upside-down. His eyes are often wide and curious, mistakably innocent, gold in color, with a a coy smirk at his mouth.
- Personality: For someone who desires to conquer all that exists, he seems remarkably cheerful and also dull-headed. It's actually unending and unshakeable self-confidence to the point of overridding arrogance. He's always trying to recruit any power to his army with a simple, "C'mon, join my army to conquer everything." He's the sort that if a place seems to be running itself just fine without him, he may only ask for token submission, being allowed to place his flag somewhere prominent. Despite all this, he can prove to be intelligent and dangerous.
- History:
- Freydolf is an Outcaste from the North. Only a distant ancestor was a Dragonblooded. Even before he Exalted though, he had big dreams. He would take over his tribe, then take over the neighboring tribes and then his army would sweep over many more tribes, then the cities and before you know it he would be the ruler of the North, ready to sweep over the rest of Creation. Easy money. Now all he needed to do was overthrew that jerk Rothgar, a god-blooded descendant of some spirit of a blizzard. Sure, anything he touched with his hands or weapons instantly froze to death but Freydolf was reasonably sure he could take him.
- Of course Freydolf couldn't and was nearly dying against Rothgar until the blood of Hesiesh lit up inside him. Freydolf then suplexed Rothgar unconscious. He spared Rothgar's life afterwards and made swear allegiance to him. With his tribe suitably taken over, he went about conquering the neighboring tribes. His deeds attracted the attention of an old Immaculate Monk and Dragonblooded, Flickering Hadoro. She heard of an army of tribesmen coming under the rule of a Dragonblooded and sought to convert him to the Immaculate Faith so their would be an army poised to oppose the Bull of the North. Freydolf took her in. He was more interested in learning martial arts but he was willing to listen to her. And so he heard about the Anathema, powerful beings that were a threat to the Realm and took the greater power of the Dragonblooded of old to overthrow them. All Freydolf could ever think was, 'I gotta get me one of those for my army.'
- Flickering Hadoro died as old age took her before she could finish Freydolf's training or learn of his twisted ambitions. Freydolf managed to combine the martial arts with the wrestling moves of his people to form his own devestating style. Through charms (Freydolf personally just thought he was being charismatic), Freydolf made all the chiefs of his conquered tribes loyal to him and thus he left Rothgar in charge to go on trips that were both scouting and pleasure sabbaticals. It was during such trips that he came upon a newly exalted Solar, a Golden Anathema, in the middle of getting his ass handed to him by the Wyld Hunt. Freydolf remembered his own assessment of the anatheme and felt greed rise up in him. He jumped into the fray and sided with the anathema against the Wyld Hunt.
- This action attracted the attention of the dreams of Hesiesh. He saw one of his children who would have been a Solar if he had not already Exalted. Thus did the Dragon of Fire reach out and purify Freydolf's blood and left within him a beacon that said to other Dragonblooded to follow this one. Freydolf's Dragonblood ignited like it had never before, feeling almost like a Third Breath, and his anima took the form it has now for the first time. Freydolf was held of this Wyld Hunt long enough for the Solar's Lunar mate, a being of the First Age, to arrive and wipe out the rest. Freydolf captured two useful relics, a pair of red-jade blades that seemed like both an axe and a sword at once, and the Wood Aspect sorceress of the Wyld Hunt, a woman called Bagala. She felt the call of the Immaculate Dragons within Freydolf and after some time alone she decided to follow him for now and he was confident he would win her loyalty completely.
- The Solar was a boy called Jazel, his Lunar mate a woman who only gave him her title, Black Cat That Crosses Your Path. They listened to his recruitment speech, Jazel because he felt he owed the Terrestrial and Black Cat because she saw an opportunity to start her own Thousand Rivers project. They followed him and Black Cat told her mate and her new 'chief' the stories of the First Age and Freydolf learned that the Anathema called themselves Exalted of a different sort. He also learned that Creation was once larger and could be expanded again. It was then he decided that after he conquered Creation, Phase Two would be to expand it until it devoured all of the Wyld and he ruled everything. Black Cat during that time observed two phenomenon. One, Freydolf trying to seduce Jazel without success. Two, droves of Dragonblooded women simply appearing to join up with Freydolf inexplicably, a Air-Aspect from farther up North calling herself strangely enough Windy and two Fire-Aspects called Mar and Fireface.
- With his little 'harem', although now Black Cat knew he had no interest in women, Freydolf grew even more confident and went to the Bull Of The North with his four girls to try and recruit the mighty Solar Exalted. And that's how the Black Cat and Jazel were left in total charge of Freydolf's tribes as now Freydolf and his girls were forced to flee the North. On their way out, Fireface picked up her recently Exalted Earth-aspect niece, Belladonna. He commandeered a pirate ship captained by Kary De Kahoona, a Water-aspect Dragonblooded that Freydolf managed to recruit as well. From her he heard about Iropa and decided to set sail for a land ripe for the conquering.
- Benefits
- Freydolf has a pair of red jade sword-axes or ax-swords or axes with unusually shaped and elongated blades that make you think they could also be swords. He actually uses them for defense more then anything else. That or surfing explosions.
- He is the inventor and sole practitioner of the Explosive Grappling style of Terrestrial Martial Arts. This style involves very weak strikes just to put someone off guard long enough to grapple them and then bending them painful while setting them on fire or performing show moves that slam themselves or their opponent unto the ground causing one or the other to explode.
- He has recruited two Fire-Aspected, one Air-Aspected, one Earth-Aspected, one Wood-Aspected and one Water-Aspected Dragonblooded to his cause and loyalty. They can draw strength from one another, but him especially.
- He has power of Socialize, Presence, Melee, Athletics and War.
- Name: Bagala the Rose With Thorns That Heal And Hurt
- Exaltation: Terrestrial, Wood Aspect
- Anima: A flurry of rose petals and spiny leaves, filled with a sweet aroma and thorns
- Motivation: Restore the glory of the Realm. She believes Freydolf will accomplish that.
- Intimacies: Freydolf, The Realm, Mortals, Belladonna, - Anathema
- Appearance: Bagala is a brown-skinned woman with naturally forming dreadlock curling down her face. Twigs and leaves and thorns interspere about her hair and a rose blossom grows off to one side. Her eyes are red as roses. She wears brown sleeveless robe with a hood that rarely goes up. Her arms are covered in a green chain mail, as is her torso and legs beneath.
- Personality: A serious woman who takes good care of those she cares about and offer aid freely to mortals.
- History: An Outcaste taken in by the Scarlet Dynasty, she enrolled at the Heptagram, graduated and was shang-hai'd into a Wyld Hunt in the North.

- She has specializes in Medicine charms
- She wears a long dress-like green Jade chain-mail armor covered in poison barbs.
- Name: Windy, Just Windy
- Exalation: Terrestrial, Air Aspect
- Anima: A vibration in the air that creates a constant beat
- Motivation: Observe the course of history and alter it toward favorable outcomes (She believe Freydolf is history in the making)
- Intimacies: Freydolf, Her tribe, Books and scripts of knowledge
- Appearance: A pale and hairless girl, incredibly lithe. She wears black robes and a featureless white mask on her face.
- Personality: Incredibly quiet, it always seems like she's looking at you even though she cannot. If she speaks, it will be in emotionless anf factual tones.
- History: Born blind, she became a hermit up in the mountains rather then be a burden on her tribe. There she meditated on whatever knowledge she could beg from passing travellers. When she Exalted, she found the gift of Air let her perceive better and now she could, with concentration, feel the ink in the paper if she blew on it and she miraculously learned to read. She also took up protecting her tribe from the shadows and guiding its development favorably but her studies gave her a wider context of the world and she wished to do more. Then she recieve visions of a man favored by fire and she knew where she must go.
- Benefits:
- Born blind
- She knows the Elemental Concentration Trance and the Eternal Mind Meditation, letting her absorb vast amount of info and remember it perfectly.
- She knows the Feeling-the-Air technique and with utmost concentration can use it to feel the ink in paper by blowing on it, making out words but this absorbs her utterly. She also knows the succesors charms , Soundless Action Prana and Zone of Silence Stance.
- As weapons, she carries a bunch of good steel throwing knives and with them has practiced the Loyal Weapon and Persistent Hornet Attack charm.
- Name: Fireface, or Face On Fire
- Exaltation: Terrestrial, Fire Aspect.
- Anima: Her face explodes with fire.
- Motivation: Obtain Fame and Fortune (She believe Freydolf will give it to her)
- Intimacy: Freydolf, Belladonna, - Kary De Kahoona
- Appearance: Whereas Freydolf's hair looks like a burning match, hers look like an explosion, messy and wild with prominent sideburns and bushy eyebrows with an orange-red color to it matched by her eyes. She is a squat muscular woman, very handsome but not exactly beautiful. She wears a steel breastplate she painted red so that is looks like Red Jade.
- Personality: Violent and greedy to most of the world, she only shows her soft side to those she is close too.
- History: She left her tribe to seek fame and fortune as soon as she Exalted.

- Wields a Red Jade Spear. She uses it as a bludgeoning tool.

- Exaltation: Terrestrial, Fire Aspect.
- Anima: Steady and rhythmic gouts of flame alongside a strict pattern on her body.
- Motivation: Ger her hands on the most awesome pieces of technology. (Believes Freydolf will give it to her)
- Intimacy: Freydolf, Her Baby
- Appearance: She actually has black hair which is in fact just a really, really dark red. Her skin is also a dark red and her eyes are a neon red.
- Personality: A wrench wench and a mad scientist
- History: She was kicked out of Lookshy for reasons she'd rather not explain so she went out to search for First Age technology on her own.

- She has a Small Essence Cannon she calls 'Her Baby'. It is only relatively small, being the size of a bazooka and sucking up her Essence like nobody's business.

- Anima: Her skin takes on the coloration of stone and a phantom mountain grows behind her.

- Appearance: Tall, muscular and with a nice set of 'mountains' on her chest. She has long wavy red hair spiked with green lines and pale skin dotted with green freckles. She wears frumpy black clothing under a Black Jade breastplate.
- Personalit: She is incredibly kind and gentle to most of the world, only showing her hateful side to those who have earned it
- History: She Exalted while protecting a group of village children who had roused an angry beastman. Later she got shanghai'd by her aunt.

- Name: Kary De Kahoona, the Wretched Fish Woman
- Exaltation: Terrestrial, Water Aspect
- Anima: Phantoms of three great waves with the shadows of giant fish and sea serpents within.
- Motivation: Fame and Fortune (Freydolf will give it to her)
- Intimacies: Freydolf, Her ship, - Fireface
- Appearance: A lithe blue-skinned woman with dark blue hair in purpe pirate livery.
- Personality: Greedy, vain and dishonest, she has a romantic side but it rarely comes out except for her ship.
- History: She was a slave then she Exalted and took over her slave ship, turning it into a pirate ship, so the same except with less personel.

- She has a ship with a mortal crew.
- She is a master of Sail and Larceny charms.
- She is practitioner of Seafaring Hero Style.

Chosen of Nox, have a Soul-mate relationship with the Sidereals, much like Solars-Lunars excepts it goes both ways. Their exaltations were locked up too up until recently, free'd with all the Solars.
We also have the Nihilic Exalted, which are Abyssal Lunars. I'm going with the 'They've been at this for a while' background so some Nihilic Exalted are older then Abyssals with a sidebar of 'But not very efficiently' so most aren't.

- Name: Bleak Edge of Necessity
- Exaltation: Soulsteel Caste Alchemical
- Anima: An incredibly complicated system of grinding gears.
- Motivation: Destroy those who would prey on the innocent
- Intimacies: His gyroscopic chakram Grinding Wheel; his mentor, the city of Unisa; his friend, the orichalcum caste Guiding Light of Progress.
- Appearance: The first you see of Bleak Edge is his black armour, with his gyro chakram slung across his back almost like a shield. It has the symbol of Claslat engraved into it. On the rare occasions he takes off his visor, the face underneath is if anything more mechanical, with a respirator system and one eye covered by a substantial lens array.
- Personality: Edge is at heart a friendly soul who has been directed into a career based around the use of violence to keep the state running. He keeps himself stable by reminding himself that keeping things stable will help the populat. While he may at first seem unemotional, with the correct stimuli he can explode into either laughter or spectacular chainsaw-fu violence with little or no warning. If the right buttons are pressed, he will quote poetry.
- History: Edge is one of the younger, less famous soulsteel castes. In his early days on the job, he engaged an orichalcum caste in a fight over a mistaken accusation of gremlin syndrome; after stalemating and bonding over a fight with gremlinized fix beetles, they became firm friends and good-natured rivals. The orichalcum caste, Guiding Light of Progress, even built Edge a gyroscopic chakram; it's technically the property of Claslat, but are they going to come all the way into Creation to get it back? Edge is currently hunting an Apostate who massacred quite a few technologists working on their Project Razor equivalent and fled through the portal to Creation, and there is some evidence his quarry fled to Iropa.
- Benefits: Because I can't right now remember the Alchemical charmset, he has partial knowledge of Thousand-Wounds Gear style; a number of dexterity enhancements, including dodge enablers; low-level stealth enhancer charms; your straightforward Lightning-Inured Frame, IR vision, a chemical fog generator, and a paramagnetic tether beam. Flaws: he flatly refuses to run the crueller pieces of his arsenal no matter how useful they would be (personality override spike anyone?), and he's definitely not the most likeable of Exalts.
If this guy doesn't fit, just let me know.

I'm very interested in participating in this... my only reservation is that this would be my first exposure to Exalted and all the information I have about it comes from the description, your link and the Tv Tropes page of Exalted.
Would someone who knows so little of the setting be alright? Where can I get some more information about... Charms and Anima and such concepts?
As for what I would play... Well of what I've read either a Terrestrial or a Lunar (Though really, the thing that attracts me most about Lunars is... well their connection to the moon and that's fairly shallow)
The books or the various wikis are a good start.
In brief: Charms are the powers you can use to do stuff (ranging from "I hit him slightly harder" to "I jump thirty miles" depending on power level), and your anima is an iconic display that shines around an Exalt in action, usually displaying a sort of totem. Animas have no purpose other than to be cool and glow when you're using lots of power.
... I know I said that I wouldn't do this in that PM, but... I can't back down. I just can't.
There's the Astrology rewrites I was talking about. They outline stuff like what the loom actually is and does, why Fate=/=determinism, and what the fate-analogues of other places are. It also uses two new, awesome, and actually useful Astronomy and Astrology systems.
The author, Revlid, doesn't fully endorse the entire system anymore, having run out of steam after Part 2, but it's still much better than current fate-fluff. If you permit the use of this revision, which is, in my opinion, much easier to work with for our purposes, then I'll proceed with a Sidereal of awesomeness. ^_^ If not, I may use either an Infernal I got statted up for me a while back, or maybe a Nocturnal. (I don't know why, but good Nocturnal characters aren't flowing to me at the moment. :<)
I'd be leaning towards either a Journeys or Secrets caste, if it gets approved. If Nocturnal, I'd be Nebula, no questions asked. (His Alter Ego would most likely be a flamboyant Aurora who's only purpose I can think of is to annoy everyone around him. Including his own Alter Ego.)

I thought about it, and I'm in. Except for certain conditions, namely; how are we going to do this? IRC is a bit of a problem for me, but I'm trying to fix that. Personally, I would prefer to do it right here, in this forum.
Also, who's playing our respective entourages? Us? The game-master?
Anyway, here's my character, with the entourage to follow.
- Name: Captain Ledaal-Mei Airai, "Xiao Ai," leader of the Imperial Iropian Expedition.
- Exaltation: Chosen of the Dragons, Water Aspect.
- Anima: A shimmering azure anaconda of river-water with red eyes and a white-crested throat sweeps and strikes with Airai's rhythms and movements.
- Motivation: To see the ancient wonders of sequential art be revived in the public consciousness, to see the Realm survive the Age of Sorrows, and to see justice done or mercy shown if she can reach it.
- Intimacies: ancient sequential art (fights to see extinct art medium be revived and recognized), the Scavenger Lands (deep love for), Cynis-Arion Zhemma (stable ally and vassal, rejected suitor), Kebros Shuango (current lover and councillor, cares strongly for but is burdened by his issues), Sightless Seiryzi (oldest and closest friend, sisterly bond, past casual lover).
- Appearance: Airai is a tall, graceful, woman, built like an acrobat or a heavy drummer, clad usually in simple and functional clothes. Long black hair frames an oval face and thin lips. Resting upon the bridge of her nose are corrective lenses, which emphasize her algae-green eyes. Her hands are large, calloused and scarred.
- Personality: Airai is a passionate, purposeful person, but expresses it in muted and indirect ways. She can be cold, calculating, stoic, vicious, and ruthless at times, but channels these instincts through a framework of camaraderie, principle, compassion, and duty. Airai loves life itself to the point of hedonism, but at the same time remembers the dead, keeping alive several ancestor cults and has been known to consort with deathknights for her own reasons.
- History:
- Airai was born to the Ledaal-Mei family of House Ledaal, one of the poorest branches of the dynasts. As a child, she played in the streets of the Lap, and had playmates from several walks of life, disregarding class and the social structure for a time. There, she was dubbed "Xiao Ai" for her then-small size, and first fell in love in stories (particularly sequential art) in the form of a cheap, badly-written and horrendously-drawn pamphlet adventure of the Realm's heroine, Lady Marshall Ananta Savage.
- Sent to the Pasiap Institite of Culture and Arts for secondary schooling, she proceeded to learn voraciously, earn top marks, embarass her family by exalting as a Water Aspect, and expose the corruption of the administrative staff, leading to her expulsion and exile during her third year.
- Airei then spent the following years travelling, working odd jobs for papermakers, book-binders, libraries, before coming to the Scavenger Lands. It was there that she fell in love for the second, third, fourth, and fifth time; for the land and its histories, for the life of a Scavenger Lord, for martial arts, and for a young enlightened mortal scholar named Kebros Shuango.
- After struggling with many unfruitful excavations and projects, Airai and Kebros struck jade when they unearthed a temple complex dedicated to making supermortal soldiers. House Ledaal heard of their success, repealed the exile under the ridiculous lie that she was working for them en clandestine (which no one believed), and claimed the complex for themselves. The Mei branch found themselves on a wellspring of opportunity, the Dynastic archeological community was scandalized, and Airai found herself welcomed home in open arms.
- Her return lasted three months, during which she found herself saddled with more and more House duties and responsibilities, which lead her further and further away from the Scavenger Lands. The resentment and constant challenging of her new status only served to alienate her from the rest of the House. Further adding to her many troubles was an arranged marriage with another disfavored-yet-accomplised Dynast, the hardy sorcerer-scientist Cynis-Arion Zhemma, who found himself smitten with her. Needless to say, Airai did not reciprocate, though they did become friends.
- Finally, Airai could take it no more. She liquidated her assets, withdrew from the House, and escaped with Kebros in tow, taking with her a collection of artifact shields. She managed to run unmolested for three weeks, until the bounty hunters and trackers of House Ledaal began to chase her in earnest. After a few close calls, Airai found herself on the cusp of death and met the blind wandering heroine known as Seiryzi Cathak-Long, who aided in her escape, joined in her travels and shared her bed.
- This got the attention of the Mouth of Peace, and made contact with the group. In return for the Imperial Court to shelter her and her people from House Ledaal and granting her a percentage of what she found, Airai was to lead a secret expedition into Irodia to confirm some of their most startling prophecies.
