I love this series! It needs more books after the reveal in The Immortals... grin

This series is just amazing. Why can't I convince more people I know to read it???

For a while a friend and I lead a World Of Warcraft guild called "The Librarian Knights". No one got it. [lol]

I love that series to death! In fact, I was the one who launched its article on this very wiki, all the way in the distant past (late 2007-early 2008), back when dinosaurs roamed the Earth and Taft was president.

The Edge has always been one of my favourite worlds to explore, and ever since I discovered it at age 10, I always enjoy going back and re-reading the series. Back when I got my copy of The Immortals last fall, I practically put my life on hold so that I could finish reading it.

Truth be told, I think it was this series that really got me interested in reading on a large scale. I mean, I'd read Harry Potter and loved it before I discovered the Edge, but The Edge Chronicles really connected with me on a deeper level.

I LOVE IT. Nobody around me has read it, sadly. sad My favorite parts of the series were the books focused on Quint and Maris. grin Of all the books I've read in my lifetime, the entire series is one of my favorite. I have reread the books more times than any other book.

I have a hard time with the Quint and Maris ones just because you know how they end up. Not to say I don't enjoy the hard time, but wow. It's this big elephant looming in the mind of the reader going "No matter what you do you're not going to be happy for long."

Yay! I love this series! I haven't read The Immortals yet, but I own it, and it's high on my too-read list.

This is one of those rare series where I enjoy the illustrations just as much as the writing. Stewart and Riddell are such a perfect team.

My favourite ones are probably the Rook ones. Not sure why... I think I just like Rook better as a character. But I love them all! Although I agree about the Quint trilogy; it is like there's a shadow over their whole relationship.

Oh why doesn't this series get more love! It's just so amazing the characters, the wierd and creatively scary creatures in the Deepwoods, sky pirates, fraxpunk technology, it's just so awesome! I first read a used copy of BTWD when I was 10 and loved it. Then I discovered to my delight when I was 14 that there were sequels and prequels. I had to spend years finding the books as they were just so hard to come by, but it's worth it. I've got all books aside from the Lost Bark Scrolls on me now and I'm starting with Quint going in chronological order.

I love this series. That seems to be a common reaction. My favorite book is The Immortals, closely followed by The Lost Barkscrolls.

Wait, is that one a must-read? I can't find copies on amazon or file sites of any kind.

Hm. It's also the only one my library doesn't have (I got it from interlibrary loan).

In terms of continuity, it's probably the least important, though The Blooding of Rufus Filatine does help tie The Immortals more closely to the other books. I checked just now, and there are some copies on Amazon(not many, though. I guess this is the hardest one in the series to find), so I do recommend reading it.

I really hate to ask, but does anyone know where I can find a digital copy of the Lost Bark Scrolls? I've finished the trilogies and am going to read the Immortals, but I want to read the short stories first as that will be the last material about them before I finish the series.

Oh I read a small box set when I was a kid, but I don't think I ever read the The Immortals ones.

A great series, and one immeasurably enhanced by its distinctive illustrations. They gave the whole world of the Edge an excellently quirky atmosphere.

Like, incredibly late, but I had to get my copy of The Lost Barkscrolls from Amazon.uk It was very worth it.

I haven't read the books for a few years now, so I think it might be time to correct that.

Bump because apparently a new book was released in January and GOSHDARNIT HOW DID I NOT KNOW ABOUT THIS. And the next is being released in April, or so says my shiny new pre-order that I'll probably only remember about when I look at my bank statement and go, "Wait, what was this?"

There are new books? I didn't realize the series was still going. I kind of want to check it out, but I'm not sure if I would be too blinded by childhood nostalgia.

I really enjoyed this series when I was younger. Some parts were a little nightmare inducing though.

I really should get around to reading the newer novels.

I started reading them when I was twenty-five. No need to worry about childhood nostalgia here!

Well I guess that's some comfort to me worrying I might not like them as much as an adult.
