That is true.

To really wipe a harddisk you more need an actual degaussing machine.

And doesn't that require actually removing the computer's inner parts from it's casing? I think I've seen a demonstration on TV of wiping a hard drive without opening up the computer, but it used one of those huge scrap yard magnets.

Yeah, the smaller degaussing machines are like a big box where you insert the actual HDD in one side, press a button, and it slides through to the other side.

However, the magnetic field in the box when you power it on is insanely powerful and designed specifically to disrupt the data on the disk.

And yeah, you need one hell of a magnet to affect the disk from outside the casing.

So, lately, I've found an obsessive love for a few songs, but this second, it's Manfred Mann/Bob Dylan's "Quinn the Eskimo (The Mighty Quinn)".

SING ALONG EVERYBODY! :D

[up][up] You can't stop.    NOT UNTIL YOU ACHIEVE PLATINUM GOD

Okay, last year I met this guy when he was doing his tour of Australia for the first time. His name is Jon Gomm. As he is one of the best acoustic guitarists I have ever seen. Probably one of the best alive.

Sure, it was last year when this happened and it's latest obsessions, but I just listened to his Don't Panic album again and oh mah gawds. LOVE.

Arkham City is pure delight. You are guaranteed fun, whether you prefer stealthily bat-boning your enemies, or going on an all out, full frontal assault.

So I've been on a The Milk Carton Kids binge lately. Listened to their whole discography in one sitting the other day, lasting about two and a half hours.

I strongly suggest you give them a listen if you don't hate the guitar.

Corelpaintercorelpaintercorelpaintercorel-

Uhm...I'm. Going to stop now.

But it is sooooooo awesome. I'm totally in love with it. The only drawback being that my 4 gig RAM can't quite handle the big guns. I might have to upgrade if I'll be using it regularly.

But it's soooo awesome. Those brushes...the way it communicates with my tablet...

Soooo astonishingly, amazingly beautiful.

Yeah. 'Nuff gushing, this is getting creepy.

Complicated - because simple is simply too simple.

I'm not even close to one hundred percenting it, though. Aye, fucking chest...

@Mont: It wasn't nearly as bad as most of the other gushes in the thread. Just the right amount.

The Binding of Isaac is pretty much wiping the floor with me right now. I had like 9 hearts and a buttload of upgrades and I still managed to die. tongue But it's just so playable. It's so simple, yet it never gets boring.

Mine is Fate/stay night. Let me put it this way; when I turned it off after I finished watching the eighth episode, my father, who was overhearing asked "Is it over?" I replied "Yes. Although it's such a good show, I wish it wasn't."

Come on! Let's bless them all until we get fershnickered!

Did you read the visual novel? In terms of story, it's sooooo much better. In terms of action scenes... Well, it's a novel. It's up to how vividly you can imagine things.
