The new system saves all versions of the article. Unless, that is, a mod decides that there is nothing useful in a certain version. That useless version can be discarded.
Funny that it's Fast Eddie who talks about that... I can already see with that system that certain entries and contents that are of the dislike of the Fast One will never have been there.
For it to be a fair system it has to be all or nothing, or an history of what is being retgoned (which kinda breaks the purpose, yeah...).

I do agree entirely with this. However, remember the custom title
issue. Created to kill ptitles, but soon had mission creep to force renames. Which Was Not Popular. Doing clear up the hard way is probably the only way to assuage fears that there won't be another repeat of that.
