City of Angels is about an angel that becomes human. The English version is all right plot-wise, but very gorgeously shot. Also, it's not preachy at all.

See title. I'm looking for some thought provoking films that involve themselves in angel mythology without being too blunt a Judeo-Christian tract. Any genre is fine (even horror) and it doesn't even have to be all that good, so don't be shy. Some films that I've already seen (that come to mind, anyway):
