I don't know. Lot's of people did that... Start here
to learn all about what happened...
I DON'T KNOW HOW TO DO SMALL TEXT SO I'M CAPSLOCKING IT INSTEAD.
Also, figure I'd elaborate a bit on the OCMPA leader, so her overruling the rest of the council doesn't seem like an Ass Pull... And also explaining why she's choosing mercy. Incoming massive philosophical infodump! I put way too much thought into these things!
I also want to know if it makes sense... So, feedback would be kind of appreciated. If I could, I'd elaborate more on The Six (what Ms. Amarante is part of... I reorganized a couple things in my 'verse involving them. Not enough to drastically screw up plot, though.)
Bit of Fridge Brilliance involved here with Amarante. The reason her judgment is so trusted is because she is Judgment, Iudicium, one of The Six. The one who always gives the final ruling, at the end of life and the start of the crossroads of damnation and redemption. She is all too familiar with the ways of humans, how the intent of their hearts does not always translate fully through their actions. So while yes, their actions do factor in, she focuses more on the content of their hearts. She knows from experience that there is no such thing as Black-and-White Morality, but moreso Gray-and-Gray Morality.
It's also why she never directly involves herself in OCMPA combat situations despite her literal immortality- She can only influence people. Notice how pretty much all religions throughout humankind's existence has placed some sort of emphasis on the judgment after death? Well, don't those beliefs tend to influence followers in their decisions? Once again, this is the influence of Judgment. Through taking a leadership position and giving orders -orders that can be disobeyed- she is indirectly influencing a situation, but overall allowing others to act on their own.
For example, she told Skye the future was not absolute, that outcomes could be changed... Including the predicted outcome of the first mission. However, she gave them the freedom to choose their outcome, which in this case was several casualties and a building exploding. They could've easily chosen a different course of action, achieving a different result. That's the emphasis here, choice.
As for why she chose to spare Natalie, it was all about where her heart was- She did not kill others because she wanted to. She isn't an evil or malicious person. She was acting on orders out of loyalty for the person who has been acting as a father for her all her life. Everything she does is based on either her loyalty or love for someone, or dictated by her feelings. The six years she spent looking for her friend when he disappeared are a testament to that. Her love for her friend prevailed in the first mission. She does have pure intentions, but they've never translated well into actions. So she was judged on he content of her heart, which hopefully her future actions will reflect now that she's chosen a new path for herself.
So there. Does that make any sense? :D

“DAMMIT WHEN I HEAR 'SPACE CQC' ALL I CAN THINK OF IS BIG BOSS WITH A FISHBOWL ON HIS HEAD, STRANGLING AN ASTRONAUT OUTSIDE THE ISS."At least you actually admit you like the guy. I'm either too proud or too shy to ever admit how I feel to people I like. >_>
Currently am. D:

“DAMMIT WHEN I HEAR 'SPACE CQC' ALL I CAN THINK OF IS BIG BOSS WITH A FISHBOWL ON HIS HEAD, STRANGLING AN ASTRONAUT OUTSIDE THE ISS."Leaving the fora seems a little extreme, in all honesty, but i can't say i've been in a situation where it would come to that and thus don't have a proper idea of if that is indeed 'a little extreme.'
I'm not sure whether i'm lucky or unlucky in that regard.
"You lost, Dio. You lost for one simple reason - you were using charcoal." - Hank HillSee, now the problem in my case is that I can't really like someone until I know them. I could never understand people liking others based solely on how they see them act or how they look... Y'know, instead of how they really are. So I only really "like" friends. Not ones I've known all my life, of course, they're more like siblings. But if I like someone, they're almost always a close friend.
And then I don't admit to it because I'm afraid of the outcome, like if it'll wreck the friendship or something.

“DAMMIT WHEN I HEAR 'SPACE CQC' ALL I CAN THINK OF IS BIG BOSS WITH A FISHBOWL ON HIS HEAD, STRANGLING AN ASTRONAUT OUTSIDE THE ISS."I suppose it's just a matter of faith that if all doesn't work out, the friendship won't be broken, and the courage to act on that faith.
But then again, i know nothing of it, only that if it does rely on such, i don't have the courage to do it myself, and can barely muster the faith.
"You lost, Dio. You lost for one simple reason - you were using charcoal." - Hank HillStill doesn't make it any less arduous.
I kind of regret never telling an old childhood friend of mine how I actually felt about him. . . He's the rare exception to the "known all my life" rule. He ended up moving out-of-state. Actually saw him again a couple months ago, he was up here visiting a relative for a couple of weeks. . . And I still felt that way. He'd actually become more honest about himself in the past couple of years, a quality I admire greatly but is sadly vanishingly rare nowadays.
But I still wasn't able to let him know how I felt. I kinda regret that. Even if nothing came out of it, it would have been nice to get some closure at the very least.

Yus! No more derps!
In completely unrelated news, I'm going to proceed to draw a random chibi sketchdump for A Game of Chance and A Game Of Truths. So if any of you folks have a silly canon or non-canon situation in mind that you want to see characters in, want to see someone doing something silly/funny, or really just have anything dumb in mind, lemme know and I'll see if I can include it. Can include multiple characters. :D
Like, one thing I had in mind was Prossy pointing at an exploding building and stating, "I accidentally three buildings".
CG suggested a drunk Wolf/Ryu with cat ears.
And if I can pull it off, possibly John getting tazed by Pimp Man.
Just to name a few ideas.
