Was about to say that there may be a World of Infantry some day but then I realized there's already so many. World of Secret Weapons would be awesome though.
agreed. That'd be awesome!
I don't always comment, but when I do, expect me to edit the crap outta it.Lol, I tried to play navyfeild. It dosn't even download. Or my security system hates it anyway.
I'm baaaaaaackI call bullshots.
"what the complete, unabridged, 4k ultra HD fuck with bonus features" - Mark Von LewisOn me or navy feild dieing? Which it wouldn;t. Star Wars Galaxies STILL hasn tbeen shut down. its closing in december(coinicedentally when SWTOR comes out) and there are still people complaining about that.
I'm baaaaaaackOn the WOB screenshots. They look too nice, more like concept art. Hence the term "bullshots".
"what the complete, unabridged, 4k ultra HD fuck with bonus features" - Mark Von LewisOh yea, thats deffinatly not In-game. I'd bet on designs for ships they will use, but not that hi-def. I prefer low detail over sucky gameplay anyday.
I'm baaaaaaackWell the open Beta for World of Warships has finally arrived, and I'm playing it now!
A couple of quick things to I've noted:
- The menus of the game have much more polish and a fluid feel to them than anything in Wo T. Much less confusing and intuitive, and it makes comparing your ships weapons and gear vs the other models and upgrades far simpler.
- Loving the detail put into the ships too.
- Doesn't look like the open beta community has figured out the carriers yet. Lots of players are trying to keep the carriers as far from the fight as possible or just immediately sending them straight into the fray, irregardless of the risks of AA fire swatting down all their fighter groups. Lots of Alpha/closed Beta testers bitching about that too, unsurprisingly.
- No more ammo costs due to infinite ammo, seriously?! I thought Wargaming was trying to make this at least somewhat sim-like!
- The guns on the starter ships shoot quick and are fairly accurate, but they have no penetration. They pretty much need to rely upon the HE shells to do any damage.
- The game prohibits you from being put straight into the random battles... a HUGE plus in my eyes. Certainly made it more of a comforting welcome for me.
- Haven't truly figured out the true strategy for the ships yet, aside from constantly circling targets. It's pretty much about who's better at paying attention to their surroundings and not beaching themselves on the various islands scattered throughout the maps so far.
Damn... and to think it took Wargaming OVER 5 YEARS to release this sucker!

...no mac version, and a glaring red "known not to work" for crossover.
Meh :/
"You can reply to this Message!"Can I get it on X Bawks yet?
"Allah may guide their bullets, but Jesus helps those who aim down the sights."Nope, PC beta only so far.
@Sgt Ricko: what no ammo cost? You still get charged for ammo resupply after match...
Also, man, still need 30k exp for both of my cruisers to get to t7...and my 1 week premium just ran out.

Give me cute or give me...something?I'm beginning to realize that the risk of other ships mindlessly ramming into yours due to tunnel vision while attacking is a very real threat. Worse case so far was me getting rammed at full speed by a South Carolina class Cruiser, which caused me to veer off course, miss my target, and then nearly beach myself on an island.
BTW, is it actually possible to get permanently beached in this game?
Partly, if you got stuck on an island by the side, it can be nearly impossible to get out in some circumstance.
Give me cute or give me...something?Favorite ship so far is the tier three American cruiser St. Louis. This thing is simply a bunch of guns that happen to have a ship attached
One thing I'm NOT liking so far: the premium consumables. These things take it a step further than the one-time use stuff in World of Tanks since they recharge twice as fast in comparison to the normal consumables. That's a pretty nasty imbalance, especially with the premium damage control party. Having the ability to put out fires twice as often, especially given how frequently they occur in this game, really doesn't make sense.
Not twice, just 1.5x more times...but yeah I see your point. Still, unlike in WOT the consumable doesn't carry over if you end the match without using them, so I think that is a choice to make...
Even then I get by without using them, so eh.

Give me cute or give me...something?Apparently the IJN Carrier Zuikaku is the deadliest ship in the game, according to Wargaming's statistics: she sunk over 72,606 ships within less than a month. The runners up are the IJN Kongo Battleship, the IJN Destroyer Minekaze, the US Carrier Langely, and the US Cruiser Cleveland.
I got all that from this video. Lots of other neat little stats too.
I get the Cleveland (dem HE spam) and the Kongo (speed and firepower desu~) and Zuikaku (actually Shokaku, also shitload of torps and bombers available since it's highest tier JP CV available, and Taiho availability was quite short)...not sure why Minekaze and Langley were in tho...especially Langley.

Give me cute or give me...something?Yeah Langley in reality pretty much got blown out of the water when she met her first and only battle. Yet in this game she's on top of the killing boards.
"Allah may guide their bullets, but Jesus helps those who aim down the sights."There's a special promo going on for a limited time only: if you enter the code "ALBANY" on the World of Warship's "Activate Bonus Code" menu, you'll unlock the American Tier 2 Albany Cruiser for free! Even better, it comes with a free port slot (which is arguably more valuable than the ship itself), so take advantage of it while you can!
Well, just played around 6 games with Ricko...managed to get 3 Confederate and 2 High Caliber medals...good run. Shame the flag reward is only given once per 24 hours...
Give me cute or give me...something?It's weird, I have played one game, fumbled around trying to learn the controls and game, and I haven't even logged back in to see the results of the match. I just can't get into the game knowing it's the same assholes playing WoT. What do I have to look forward, the next match having the bitch-about-your-team mod and having the elite UNICORN players screaming about going AFK because they won't carry the team? Enjoying teamkills because of people screaming about WATER CANCER?
Wouldn't surprise me at all if the new BITCHATTEAMMOD carries over your stats from the other Wargaming titles, so that every random player gets a color-coded messages screaming about how sub-human you are so that the blue-gods won't have to sully their keyboards for ten minutes.

We all knew it was coming. And you know what? It looks pretty good judging by those screenshots!
