Generally sticking "shit" onto the end of words is not, precisely, an endearing trait.
Not even with a tilde~?

Hmm, do we have any term for Schoolgirl Series (primary genre I'm talking about) with Puni Plush designs?

Continuously reading, studying, and (hopefully) growing.

[up]'Moe'.tongue

Maybe we should create a proper one. But I don't think it is relevant enough.

Same issue as "shonen = genre" much?

I prefer just calling it Moe shows anyway, but apparently it causes flame from some people.

[up][up]Similar. You can't deny the 'shonen as a genre' exist, but calling it just as 'shonen' is confusing.

[up]x7 Not really a trope. It would be just used to bash things anyway Also Puni Plush can be a character specific artstyle in the same way Noodle People shojo series can.

[up][up][up]Call it moe if the show cashes in due to the cute designs of the characters.

[up][up][up][up]The term can be used to other things as well. I would easily call Sora No Woto 'moe' (and not only because of the Puni Plush), but there is no school girl in the series at all.

Trying to define a work by its character designs is silly.

Madoka anyone?

[up]Never disagreed with that.

Although I would personally include a few elements aside character design. Having a cute Slice of Life thematic, for example. Still too vague to be meaningful, however.

Hell is Negima Moe?... No. Is there Moe characters in it hell yeah. Moe is a character specific trope. And sometimes a moment specific trope when certain tropes the viewer finds adorable gets invoked like Dojikko or Meganekko.

[up][up]What? Madoka is cute. Also Homura. But they are just characters.

Ok.. then the show must be cute by itself...

[up]But no one would call Madoka a 'moe show. Which is his point.

I would NEVER call PMMM a moe show, EVER. In fact, that's one of the anti-thesis of moe shows in my opinon.

And yet all five girls elicited some of the strongest moe reactions of any cast in recent memory.

Thats why this is silly.

I don't really care about audience reaction, to be honest.

Not so silly when you consider that the show was pretty cutesy when it started. When it stopped being cute? Very much so.

[up][up]I think the first 2 or so minutes of the show was kind of a big clue that it was gonna be a bit...dark.

[up]x4.... really.... that's Moe.... the whole point is the character gets the reaction from the viewer.

There are plenty of Objective ways to invoke Moe but they are all character based. Even Males can do it. Cute Shotaro Boy mostly but there are others. (in BL its an Uke.)

But thats the entire point! If you are just going to use the term wrong, why even bother?

(shrugs) Eh, most people get what shows I'm describing anyways. I'm not interested in going on with details on the term's denotation.
