For me this is just about any cartoon really. I didn't really like sitting down and watching TV as a kid—I only did it at night, when it was too dark to play outside. I was vaguely aware of He-Man and Thundercats but it wasn't until I was nearly an adult that I really explored them in any great capacity.
One that definitely comes to mind though is Lucky Luke, of which I had the Daisy Town movie as a kid, and I was like "Man, this shit is stupid." As an adult, I dug up my VHS tape and my impression became "Wow, this thing is actually awesome!"
visit my blog!Hey Arnold, All Dogs Go To Heaven, The Land Before Time, Japanese Peter Pan (World Masterpiece Theater), most of Di$ney Afternoon, excluding Gummi Bears and Bonkers (and everything that came after that).
I have a strange relationship with Di$ney's The Sword In The Stone. I like pretty much all of it, but THAT scene with the squirrel... I just don't get it.
What were they trying to say?? Cause the more I analyze it with my adult mind, the more I see the "official" interpretation as a load.

Old Looney Tunes and Tom & Jerry cartoons. When I was kid I didn't like to old style animation and I didn't get half the jokes, and I thought slapstick was "immature." Nowadays I see it and I'm just cracking up, especially since I have such an appreciation for animation now.
I'm pretty sure the concept of Law having limits was a translation error. -WanderlustwarriorInvader Zim,Ren And Stimpy,The Golden Age Simpsons episodes (Which weren't as wacky and had an elite kind of humor an 8 year old would not get. All the seasons after 10 had simpler humor and zanier plots), and ironically Codename:Kids Next Door
The last one mostly because of the hidden references I'd never have guessed way back when, which made a good series all the better.
I find most cartoons more enjoyable as an adult, probably because I can finally get the various ParentalBonuses and Getting Crap Past the Radar moments.
But, if I had to choose some specific cases, I'd have to say the Disney Animated Canon, Spong Bob Square Pants, and Rocko'sModernLife.

Well, I'm still a teenager (I'm 16...)
But I recently rewatched Avatar: The Last Airbender. I was nine when the original show came out and I believe twelve when it finished. I didn't really think it was absolutely amazing back then, but then I watch it now and then I really admire the effort in it, the story, the characterization, the humor that I never laughed at back then since I was still a young kid, art, animation, writing. It really was something and I never really appreciated the things behind it as a 12 year old. It was quite the deep show but I just never knew until I saw it again recently.

Out of all the shows that I was able to watch during that time, nearly all of the cartoons I liked were comedic in nature. The only exception that comes to mind is Code Lyoko. I was not all that into more action-y shows like Justice League, I just watched for the laughs.
Naturally, I never enjoyed Samurai Jack all that much until I watched an episode as a part of a test in my freshman animation class. I still don't consider myself much of a fan, but definitely see the appeal now.
I put on my robe and tinfoil hat...Invader Zim is the big one for me. I was maybe 14 and I tuned into this cartoon with this weird, jagged, creepy green/purple/black art, and some character is shrieking "THE MEAT! THE MEAT!". I turned it off maybe two minutes in. Then I find out the creepy goth kid in my creative writing class is a big Jhonen Vasquez fan, and get squicked out for years. Finally I realize about 90% of my friends remember it fondly, so I go back, give it a second chance, and say "oh, NOW I get it."
I also didn't like Tiny Toon Adventures when I first saw it around age 5 or 6, because I thought they were just ripping off the Looney Tunes (they even had Bugs Bunny in the intro, for crying out loud!). A couple years ago, I saw that the local f.y.e. has the DVD about $10 cheaper than anyone else, so I pick it up on a whim and enjoy what I see.
And I hated Ren And Stimpy as a kid because everyone annoyed me well into fifth grade with the "happy happy joy joy" song. Still haven't remedied that, but I don't really see anything that would make me not like the show now. I mean, I watch Happy Tree Friends. While I'm eating.

Batman The Animated Series. It was on when I was a kid, but back then I thought serious cartoons were boring. Now I'm kicking myself for not watching more of it. The same exact thing goes for Sonic Sat Am too, actually.
And strangely, I think I like cartoons in general more as an adult than I did as a kid.

My tropes launched: https://surenity2.blogspot.com/2021/02/my-tropes-on-tv-tropes.htmlI'm not sure if this counts, but when I saw parts and bits of the Power Puff Girls as a kid, I was unimpressed. Now that I've seen entire episodes as a young adult, it's become my favorite Cartoon Cartoon.
And what about inversions? I kind of liked Ren And Stimpy and the Fairly Odd Parents as a kid (despite being grossed out by their humour), but now I completely despise them.
Probably Invader ZIM.
I am so very obvious.
Also, on a completely different note, Avatar The Last Airbender.
I'll hide your name inside a word and paint your eyes with false perception.

Heh,all of them. I was a right snob as a child, only watching the live-action things on CBBC - Aquila,Round The Twist, that strange SF thing where an AI was buried under a school. I didn't even know what cable or satellite TV was, then.
TV Tropes got me into A:TLA,and then 4chan's /co/ sealed my fate when my interest in anime began to fade. Megas XLR,Batman TAS,Animaniacs ("Sire?" "Wait till we're alone!" :-D) and more recently Wakfu.
Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away.Invader Zim, Spongebob, Animaniacs, Dexters Lab, and Rockos Modern Life. All for the Parental Bonuses.
YOU! OBEY THE FIST!Rocko is also one to an extent. I didn't watch it much because mom hated it.
Also, I hated Animaniacs right out of the gate because I thought it was stupid when I was 7. Now, I hate the Warners themselves for being annoying jerkasses, and I hate some other aspects of the show still, but I do like Slappy/Skippy, Minerva Mink (overdone as she is) and Pinky & the Brain.
I actually preferred Hey Arnold as a kid than as an adult. Now with the exception of Rhonda, all the characters come off as stupid, creepy, boring,or JerkAss-ish.
Same here. I still enjoy Jimmy Neutron though when it airs in reruns on Nicktoons.
I'm not an adult yet, but I guess I'll contribute anyways.
One for me definitely has to be the PowerPuff Girls. When I was younger, when ever it came on on Cartoon Network, I would always avoid it because I thought it was going to be a typical girly cartoon but now, I usually always watch it when it's on because I know that it actually has some pretty good writing and has good humor.
