Afer the battle, Jimmy had gone back to the town, finding a room in the Pokemon center and going to bed. Today has been quite the day... he thought to himself, watching as Backdraft and Dozer curled up at the foot of his bed, both clearly groggy from the day's adventure and going to sleep (or, in Dozer's case, already sleeping).
Marcel felt the anger building up evaporate once he'd noticed that Lace was acting up nearly as badly as Aru was. That quiet little Treecko, of all the disobedient Pokemon in the world.
"Hey. That's enough." Marc said, trying to keep his voice level. "We've got business, right now. Dance around when you're through."
His Chikorita seemed to agree, but not to the extent Marc had wished. Aru tossed his leaf nonchalantly and huffed at Lace's challenge, still smirking at her. Without waiting on the word of his trainer, he charged straight in her direction, his head lowered, moving far more quickly than he'd done before with any of his Tackles.
Steven growled at Lace's disobedience, wondering precisely why she was doing that. He was so preoccupied with that issue that Aru's sudden charge caught him by surprise.
"What the...."
Lace was caught off-guard as well. The Chikorita's sudden burst of speed caused the approach to be much faster than she had anticipated, and while she tried to dodge, she didn't make it in time, taking the attack full-on. She growled, and responded by swinging her paw in another Pound, though one weakened by her dizziness.
Scott and Riolu just head to the Pokemon Center..bored out of thier skulls, they cartwheel thier way there..then Scott thinks "He had two pokemon....Maybe we should hit up the forest!" Scott smiles, looking in his bags, the Ball Pocket with 5 pokeballs. "Thank's pops!" He said, remembering his father gave him those pokeballs.
Aru slid back at the Pound attack, fazed, but still strong. Marc on the other hand....
"Oh forget it. You seem to know what you're doing." Marc shrugged exasperatedly, slumping down on the bench. The pain pounded in his head reminded him just how much rest was looking more and more like a good idea every passing moment.
"You might want to keep up those Headbutts if you want to stand a chance, though." and with that, he laid himself out on the bench and turned his head to watch, letting the battle unfold as it would. "Good luck, pal!"
The Chikorita looked a little annoyed for a second at his trainer's indifference, but he lowered his head and took off again, anyway, far more recklessly than he had before.
Steven was worried. Marcel was obviously in serious need of attention, but he didn't seem to want to go. He looked at Lace, and back to Marcel, before sighing.
"Just do what you think. I have the feeling that you're going to know better than me, if you listen to me."
Lace, wise to the Chikorita's speed, was able to dodge much better than before, but still took a blow to the side. Her was breathing heavily as she skittered back, getting ready to spring. Still, she glared at the little Leaf-Head, before launching herself forward and upward, her leap giving her ready Pound extra force as she sailed toward Leaf-Head.
Steven crouched down next to Marcel, one eye on the fight that was going on, the other on the obviously hurting boy.
"Are you sure you don't want to go get help now?"
"I probably should." Marcel deadpanned, shrugging. He squinted his face up at Steven and added, "Since it's a real pain in the ass keeping my eyes open right now, could you move a second?" he motioned with two fingers to his side and hastily added, "Don't get me wrong - you're a good looking cat, Steve - but don't you want to see these two finish up? Drag me off to the ER as quick as you can when they're through."
Aru snickered and scratched at his leaf as Lace grew angrier, digging his heels into the earth to brace himself, before jumping up headfirst into the Treecko's Pound, trying to force her to the ground in the process.
After saying good-bye to the trainers she had met, Catherine had chosen to find her space for the night at the Pokemon Center. It wasn't the most luxurious place she could have chosen to stay for the night, but since they were only temporary solutions for travelers they were perfect for the situation. She decided that she'd stay up and make sure her companions had returned from whatever they were doing, Emiliana was out training and would probably show up sometime soon and Dominic was...doing something, she really wasn't sure but it was only fair to wait for them to show up. They were traveling together, after all.
She was going to use this time to read, a very common thing for her to do. Studying would do her good in the long run, she'd have to make time for it if she wanted to eventually be involved in archaeology...Or paleontology, both were things she really wanted to study, and were also subjects that aren't easy to get a career in, her parents had certainly been lucky enough to both find employment in those fields. But she had her determination, if she kept at it then maybe she'd be able to succeed.
Her two Pokemon were sitting with her while she had been reading and the egg had been very close as well, Catherine figured she could bond with them better if she spent more time with them. Basil had been perched on her shoulder, being a social little bird it was only right for him to stay close to his leader...Though he did cock his head at some of the pictures in that book, having never seen some of these strange things before. He saw buildings, but none that were familiar to him. What did it mean, exactly? Terra, however, had been lying off to the side with his eyes closed, not too far away from his trainer but not exactly next to her. He didn't believe he should just cuddle up to his trainer, it was his job to fight for her and keep her safe, he wouldn't be able to do so if he had been so soft. The Turtwig would occasionally take a glance around, determined on keeping watch for the night. She had told them that they had an important battle tomorrow, he needed to make sure nothing barged in so they could be well rested.
Hou rushed back to the Pokemon Center with all sorts of canned and bagged goods, looking a little pleased with himself. "Tomorrow, we eat like kings. I happened to got some pretty good deals, so we should have supplies for at least 3 days, counting the three meals per day!" Hou said, excited. The thrill of bargain hunting left him much more animated than normal, and he looked like a kid in a candy shop.
"Tell me what you want for breakfast tomorrow, and I'll make it!" He told Gabriel, still hopped up on saving money.
Always be ready to do the unusual and unexpected."...Okay." Hou said, his enthusiasm now gone as he adopted his far more serious persona. He then packed up everything into his bags and used the bathroom, changing into what looked like a pair of Snorlax themed pajamas. Yawning, he let his Pokemon out of their capsules and snuggled with them in his bed, like a kid.
"G'night Sanders, g'night Leonhart." He said, idly hugging the little critters to him. The Torchic happily provided additional warmth with its interior abilities and the Shinx mewled as it was reminded of its den. He was peaceful while he slept, and his face became like that of an innocent child, completely at rest and satisfied.
Always be ready to do the unusual and unexpected.Steven sighed and moved out of the way. While he doubted Marcel could have resisted if he had simply picked him up, he knew that he wouldn't do that. It wasn't in his nature to prevent someone from doing something that they wanted to do. And so he sat down, and watched, out of respect for Marcel.
Lace, sustaining a feedback from the combined two attack's colliding, grappled onto the Leaf-head, using her sticky paws to make it hard to shake her off normally, if near impossible while they were in the air. The two plummeted to the ground, with the Treecko spinning so that Leaf-Head was between her and the ground, protecting her from most of the impact, while increasing the impact on him.
Somehow, Rin had dragged herself back to Nutmeg after being shocked by Pichu. I really need to train her better... Eventually, she found her way to the Pokémon Center and got herself a room for a trainer with three Pokémon. It had been a pretty busy day, so she found herself falling asleep almost instantly.
Rin woke nice and early the next day. She wanted to get in a little bit more training before she challenged the gym a second time and finally got her Terra Badge. After quickly getting washed and dressed, she grabbed her bag and headed off down to the canteen for breakfast with her Pokémon.
Today for sure! Nothing's stopping me from getting that badge!
Okay, it's officially the second day now, so, um... Yeah.
"Good man. Thanksssss, Steve...." Marcel trailed off, a faint smile still on his face as he head fell back and he went silent, mouth agape as he snored gently.
Aru wouldn't go so easily. The shock of catching most of his and the Treecko's fall was enough to jolt him from smirking for a second or so. His good sense and the breath in his lungs were a little late in catching up to his good spirits, but when they did, he flashed one last toothy grin to Lace before his forehead came rushing forehead, square into hers, in one last ditch effort to finish the fight.
Day 2
It was about a quarter to six in the morning when Emiliana found herself being woken up by the lovely sensation of a paw smooshing into her face.
Feliciano had woken up a few minutes earlier, leaving the spot at the end of the bed where he and Sofia had been sleeping to scarmble up to the pillow. His Trainer was still asleep, a strand of hair that had escaped her night-time plait resting across her face as she shifted slightly.
Feliciano was sure that she was enjoying her time spent asleep; he himself was rather fond of resting. But he had greater priorities on his mind right now than his Trainer's happiness. He was hungry, and that meant it was time to get up.
Raising one paw, he pushed his Trainer's face experimentally, sitting back to watch her reaction with slight anxiety. A small frown flickered across Emiliana's face, but she soon returned to sleeping.
Feliciano tried again, and Emiliana curled up, the frown growing a little deeper. Encouraged, the Oshawott tapped her face once more, and she sat up, flicking the loose lock of hair out of her face as she furiously looked around for the source of the annoyance.
"What the hell was that?" she demanded, eyes landing on Feliciano, who sat on the bed blinking ever-so-innocently up at her. At the end of the bed, Sofia cheeped in alarm, raising her head from beneath one fluffy wing. With an exasperated sigh, Emiliana glanced to the alarm clock on the table beside her.
"You're lucky I was about to get up anyway..." she murmured, pushing back the covers as she swung her legs over the side of the bed. "All right, both of you clear out while I get dressed. Don't eat too much for breakfast. You can have a proper meal once we beat the Gym Leader."
At about a quarter past six, Emiliana exited the Pokemon Centre, beginning to make her brisk way towards the Pokemon Centre, a steely look in her green eyes. She had called Sofia and Feliciano back into their Pokeballs, which now hung from the strap of her bag; the egg, wrapped securely in a blanket, had been tucked carefully away in the top of her bag.
She was ready to challenge her very first Gym.
Anyway here's BlackwallWhen it was finally morning, Catherine had lazily awakened from her sleep, yawning as she took a good look around. Although she had been used to travel, it did feel somewhat odd to wake up here, maybe it was because this was the first time she was on her own? She could dwell on that later, she had other things to worry about at the moment, after all today was when she was going to challenge the Gym...and she wondered just how many trainers were thinking that this morning?
Her two Pokemon were still fast asleep, Terra having been in the same spot, not too close to his trainer yet not too far if he has to protect her from anything. Basil had chosen to sleep next to the other Pokemon, subordinates usually stayed together back in his flock so he felt that this was the closest thing, let their leader have a comfortable sleep. "Rise and shine, you two." She said, smiling at the sight for a quick second. "We're going to be busy this morning."
Terra didn't take long to wake up, and the Turtwig had immediately snapped to attention shortly after his trainer had spoken to them and then turning to give an annoyed glance at Basil, who didn't quite seem to get the concept of common space. A quick nudge was enough to wake the little bird, and after some slightly alarmed chirping, he calmed down and eagerly looked up at Catherine and greeted the girl.
"And a good morning to you, too!" She answered back. "I need to make sure you two have a good breakfast, the three of us will need to be at our best today. But, I know you'll fight hard today, right?" In response to this Terra held his head in a superior manner, he was always at his best! Whatever they had to fight today wasn't going to stand up to him! Basil was significantly less haughty about this, he didn't know how well he'll do today, but if she wanted him to fight then he'll try his hardest.
Soon, she had gotten dressed and left the Center after she and her team had their breakfast, they were fully prepared for the day. With the egg still cradled in her arms as she walked down the street, she kept an eye out for Emiliana. She was certain that her companion had gotten up early to get to the Gym, she did admit that she wanted to see the results of the other girl's training, that and what better way to prepare for your own battle than watching another?
Hou left for the forest again early in the morning, waking up at the crack of dawn. If Gabriel were to wake up, he would notice a platter of Various Berry Salad for him, along with a plastic cup of Miltank milk. Nearby would be two bowls of Pokemon food, one of them having various veggies in it, the other one with bananas. It would be obvious which bowl was intended for which Pokemon unless Gabriel proved to be a bit denser than Hou thought.
As the teen walked through the forest, he came upon a sleeping figure. Crouching down, he prodded the prone form to see if he was alright. Always be ready to do the unusual and unexpected.
Scott, being very much so fond of sleeping, was still asleep, However,by the crack of dawn,he had shifted enough in his sleep to be hugging his Riolu to his chest as though it were some form of teddy bear. He rises slowly when poked, He doesn't bother to stop hugging Riolu, who yawns right when he does,he blinks at the figure of the person who just poked him. "When did I get a butler?" he rubs his eyes with his sleeve, smiling.

Steven sighed as Marcel finally collapsed. He looked to the battle, and looked to the collapsed boy. He finally gave a frown, and made his decision.
Lace steeled herself to take the blow, knowing that it might just take her out of the fight. She readied one paw with a Pound, should she get the chance to respond, when she felt a strange tugging sensation, and discovered that she was suddenly in an environment she vaguely understood to be inside a Pokeball. She growled, and attempted to force her way out, but was too tired, and collapsed into a resting state, adrenaline leaving her system.
Steven placed Lace's ball in his pockets, and secured Marcel's egg in his pack. He then managed to sling the unconscious boy over his shoulder, fire-man style. He was willing to let Marcel stay here while he was falling unconscious, but once he couldn't protest anymore, he was going to get him medical help, battle or not.
He looked back to the Chikorita. He'd have liked to recall it, but didn't know where Marcel had stored the Pokeball, and wasn't about to rummage through his pockets to find it.
"You can finish the fight a little later, but right now he" indicating the figure slung over his shoulder "needs help, and he's going to get it."
Finishing this up, so it doesn't go on for another 7-10 posts. I almost wanted to finish the fight, but this made a bit more sense IC, and leaves ends open for later (like, the next day :P)
Aah, sorry, Krika....
I'm always a little scared to post when this game's going slowly, for some reason. From here on out I'll try and post with a little more regularity.
For a few seconds, Aru lay on his back, blinking big red eyes and regarding Steven the way any one of us might watch a Pokemon that had come to life in our world. Than it hit him that this human, the quiet one that had brought out the pretty Treecko in the first place, both deprived him of a win (the second one that day!) and a chance to get to know Lace better, and those red eyes blazed.
He was upright and digging his heels into the earth half a second later, crying the loudest "Kaah!" he'd cried since his short life began. But seconds before he could charge Steven, he glimpsed Marcel slung over his shoulder, prone and silent, and good sense came back to him. Maybe something really was wrong with the stupid trainer....
To find out, he played the whole episode off as if it were just an act, laying down and scratching at his leaf absentmindedly, waiting to see where Steven was looking to take his unconscious trainer.
For expedition's sake, he'll follow Steven into the next scene.
"I'm not your butler, I serve everyone in need." Hou responded back, pleased that the teen was in alright. "Did you really sleep out in the open?" He asked, mindful of the more aggressive Pokemon... Like the Spearows.

Always be ready to do the unusual and unexpected.Scott yawned, then smiled. "I guess I just collapsed out here..last I remember I was running off, going to see if I can find a cute SECOND POKEMON!" Scott makes a disco pose, pointing dramatically into the air, after hopping to his feet. He keeps ahold of Riolu with one arm. He smiles triumphantly...cause he does that sometimes for no reason.

Steven cocked his eyebrow at the Chikorita's strange behavior. He would have thought that it would have put up a much bigger fight than he was. He supposed that it would be something worth working on later, but right now, it was just a mistake in battle.
"Keep up with another Pound!"
Lace, instead of striking again, tensed into a springing position, glaring at the Chikorita with the force of a Leer. He didn't want to hit her yet? She chirped a challenge to him. Come and get me
