Or nobody removed them from the other indexes.
You see, a note about an index is there's two types: One where you add the actual link itself, and the auto-index. What we need to know is which type it is, basically.
Quest 64 threadVery few indexes do autoindexing and those that do are namespace indexes, where simply making a page in the namespace adds it to the index.
Boys' Love Genre does not autoindex. If the page isn't manually added to the list on the index page, it isn't added to the index bar.
So basically it seems I have no idea whatsoever about autoindexes or why the double indexing is going on.
Instead to illustrate: if you go to the bottom of The Weatherman Is My Lover you'll see two indexes called Boys' Love Genre, one of which has the right-hand option of Wild Fangs, and the other with the option of Wild Adapter. Wild Adapter was recently added and so not on the original Boys Love page where Wild Fangs would have been the next indexed. Similarly if you go to FAKE your two left options are Crimson Spell and Eerie Queerie, with Eerie Queerie being the new addition. Is this fixable?

Okay, I think I get where the problem is. For some reason, it thinks that the redirect link is a seperate Index, when it's not. It's not a problem with indexing so much as redirects are considering their own indexes.
Is this correct?
Quest 64 threadWell changing the page type to "trope" and "no indexing" got rid of the second one... and it still does indexing too

Sparkling and glittering! Jan-Ken-Pon!But it's the first one that's incorrect. The one that was just removed was the up-to-date one. It's the Boys Love one that has become obsolete, not the Boys' Love Genre index.

Then it's got to be an issue with the old Boys love page with the custom title redirect incident. Probably need to go to the old "boys love" page (not the "boys love genre" page) and turn that off from there.
Not sure how to do that with the redirect issues. A mod probably needs to do it.

Sparkling and glittering! Jan-Ken-Pon!

This is really a problem specific to the Boys' Love Genre page as far as I can tell, but the index bar for it has been showing up at the bottom of works pages twice on anything that was on the original "Boys Love" page before the move to Boys' Love Genre. I suspect that it may just be a matter of removing the index status from the original "Boys Love" page but it's uneditable so I thought I'd bring this up here to see if an admin could check it/had any better idea of what is going on with the double indexing thing.
