Green Arrow was tinkering around with the Batarang he got from Robin so long ago, before the training mission. He raised a fist in triumph once he had completed modifying it. He gave it a toss, and as it flew, the Batarang shot out green trails of light. The lights didn't do anything, they just looked impressive. He caught the Batarang again, and the lights stopped.
Green Arrow then approached Churchill.
"Sorry I took so long, Churchill," said Green Arrow, "but I got to tinkering with this Batarang I got earlier. What did you need to speak with me about?"

J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS!Out from the portal walked a costumed superhero much like Green Arrow
◊. This superhero, however, looked far more futuristic than Green Arrow and wore a green ring on one hand.
"Hal?" said Green Arrow. "How did you know I was here?"
"No time to explain, Ollie," said Green Lantern. "The Guardians heard about a being known as the One and sent me to investigate anyone who might know about it. Or, more accurately, bring you back home. They also said something about Fries is the key..."
"Fries? That doesn't sound good..."
"It's a miracle you're still alive after taking on their forces. It seems you'll be playing a central role in this next apocalyptic event."
"Heh heh...what is it, the third one this month?'
Green Arrow bowed to Churchill. "If the One ever comes looking in my part of the multiverse, I will be more than willing to help M.S.O.G. fight off the enemy. May we meet again."
With that, Emerald Knight and Emerald Archer walked into the portal home.
J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS!"Indeed. I know."
Churchill told Kirei.
"Hey! I can fight, case you didn't know!!" Riki shouted at Kirei, pointing a finger at him before Churchill urged him to stop it.
"I think it's about time I tell you why you're here." The old man went to explain to Riki about The One and the things that he was doing.
Meanwhile, upon the stage of history...
In the year 1584, two warriors fought on a square-shaped wooden plank floating down the Yangzte River. One was a lightly armored Rōnin with a katana, with long black hair tied back and blue clothing. The other, and far angrier, was a monk in an orange robe with brown pants and a pair of nunchaku with a blade on one of them This monk's name was Li Long, and he mistakenly thought his foe had slain Long's wife. The ronin fought skillfully, but was puzzled at why Long fought so viciously.
The battle remained close as each combatant blocked and countered. Li Long was now on the offensive, and the ronin could only block and parry. Clangs rang out from the ronin's katana as he blocked attacks, and with every miss, there was a whoosh of air from Li Long's nunchaku. The combatants backed closer and closer to the raft's edge. Finally, Li Long managed to strike the mercenary's face. The swordsman stopped, shocked that someone had actually struck him. He felt his face where Li Long had struck him. It was a small wound a little above the middle of his cheek, and blood was trickling out from the thin wound. This was all of the time Li Long.
"Farewell, Mitsurugi Heishiro!" said Li Long. "If you ever find Soul Edge, may you find it in Hell!"
Before Mitsurugi could swing back at Li Long, the monk kicked him in the head, nearly unleashing concussive force. The swordsman fell back off the raft, barely maintaining hold of his sword, and plunged into the frigid waters of the Yangzte. He gasped for air, trying with the last of his strength to reach the surface, but to no avail. As he slipped into unconsciousness, a portal, unseen by Li Long, opened, and the ronin fell into it, thought not without breathing in a bit of water. It closed again, and above the surface, Li Long smiled. He thought he had avenged his wife, but there were two mistakes in his belief. For one, his wife was alive. Second, and more importantly, he did not kill Mitsurugi. Ironically, he may have saved the both of them in winning the fight.
At the portal in the End of Time, Mitsurugi fell through the portal and crashed, jolting him back to consciousness. His hair was loose and wild now. He did not know where he was or why, but he knew that he was choking. He began to cough, and he dropped his sword. He held himself up with his arms as he coughed up the waters of the Yangzte upon the ground. A single drop of blood from Mitsurugi's cheek fell to the ground and splashed in the water. He panted heavily, trying to assess his situation.
"Where am I?" asked the ronin aloud. "How did I get out of the Yangtze? Am I...dead?"

J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS!Amidst the confusion and mudslinging of the two new arrivals, Agrippa kept relatively stoic and neutral, Churchill did say that he had no control over who or what was going to come to the end of time anyway. And Besides, The Centurion felt like he deserved a break and a good night's sleep after all that had happened back in the land of Elves and Giant Eagles. Thus he quietly excused himself from the rest of the group and looked for a room to lodge
Shameless Self-promotion ho!There was a burst of green light at The End of Time, a portal opened in the middle of the countryard.
A swirling confusion of colours and light.
It beckoned to the group; through it they could hear distorted static, shouting, gunfire and jet engines.
In a reality far away.
Colonel Hastings was still trying to get his head round the man with the outdated top hat.
Which century did that old bugger come from?
The sudden roar of OX transports filled the horizon, causing him to glance back, past the green glaciers and towards the rising sun.
One black dot could be seen against the sun, a bulky, slow flying aircraft was the OX and here in the chinese yellow zone they were a rarity but everyone knew one when they saw one.
"That the reinforcements sir?" rang a voice with faint asian accent.
Hastings looked over his shoulder and saw Kenjiro, one of the knewly appointed field commanders coming his way.
"Come out to admire the view?"
The young asian man nodded and smiled at the light heartedness of his european superior, War can't break everyone.
"Nothing better than the sight of much needed reinforcements".
Hastings smiled again, "Its about Damn time those slouches at High command did something".

Churchill went on his telapathy to inform the others by his thoughts.
Gentlemen. When you're ready, a portal is ready and waiting.
Gi-Soo had been sitting down on an empty chair after practicing on the shooting range to warm up before he went for a break. But when the North Korean spy heard Churchill on his thoughts, he sighed and stretched.
"As the North Americans say, there's no rest for the wicked."
"It seems that it's your first mission."
Churchill stared at Riki, who was a bit confused at the portal's appearance.
"You mean I have to go in there?"
Churchill did not say anything.
"Great..."

Big Boss spoke up, ignoring the idiot. He was beginning to doubt the competency of the old man if this was their reinforcements. Still, there were still injured to attend to. "I'm no mechanic, but I know a thing or two about medicine. Let me take a look."
He should. He had been beaten to hell in Operation Snake Eater, and in the years since had broken bones in nearly every part of his body. On a sneaking mission, you were your own surgeon, operating room, and recovery ward.
The old mercenary got up, his first aid kit in his arms. Time to get to work.
