Anyone who already has the game, is Shin Gundam Musou good? Today I saw but passed on it, but next time I see it, if I have money, I'd consider getting it if it was good. I'm a fan of Gundam overall, so I'm just asking from a gameplay perspective.

Well their made an alot of improvements on the gameplay and here's a list of them.
Burst Mode
- A limited-time powerup mode that is very reminiscent to DW 8's Awakening Rage Mode
- The newly added Burst Gauge will determine when it's possible to activate the mode
- When the Burst Gauge is filled up, pressing R2 will activate Burst Mode
- Attack power and speed will generally increase while Burst Mode is active
- Other than that, the weapons will be at their max possible upgrade (max range etc), regardless of the current actual upgrade level
- Burst Mode will have varying effects depending on the Pilot & MS selected
- Trans-Am (00 Gundams, Susanowo)
- Increase movement speed and attack power
- Magnet Coating (Gundam, Hambrabi)
- Increase attack speed and power
- Battle Newtype (Amuro Ray)
- Imbues slow motion to surrounding enemies
- SEED (Kira Yamato, Athrun Zala, Shinn Asuka)
- Thruster Gauge won't drain out, enabling endless usage of Boost
- Pressure (Paptimus Scirocco, Haman Karn)
- Gradually decrease health of surrounding enemies
- Depending on the MS, they can also temporarily equip strong forms, with examples mentioned in the unit list above (Perfect Strike Gundam etc.)
- There is also another new feature related to this, Combination Burst, which is explained below
Combination Burst
- GW 3's Partner Strike has been improved into Combination Burst
- As with GW 3, units can be set as a Combination Unit in the pre-battle menu
- Warships like White Base can now be selected as Combination Units as well
- To execute Combination Burst, unleash an SP attack during Burst Mode (explained above)
- If successful, the Combination Unit will show up after player unit has done its SP attack to unleash its own powerful SP attack
- The Combination Unit's attack direction can be altered for the duration of SP attack; this includes being able to control warships for a brief time as well
Charge Shot
- T button can be held to charge up and unleash stronger projectile shots
- Any parts in the combo can be canceled into a Charge Shot
- A charged shot can also induce chain explosion by default
Weapon Upgrade
- MS Weapons like Beam Sabers, Beam Rifles and Vulcans can be upgraded individually
- Example of upgrades are increasing range for melee attacks or adding consecutive shot count for ranged attacks
- Upgraded weapons will be reflected in looks too; for example stronger beam weapons will launch bigger beams
Upgrade Plans
- The blueprint system has been further improved into a new feature item named Upgrade Plans
- These plans can be obtained by destroying enemy units and clearing missions
- Upgrade Plans are to be equipped to the MS, which will then be granted stat boosts and weapon upgrades (the latter elaborated above)
- At some point, Upgrade Plans can be combined to generate a more powerful plan
Other Gameplay Features
- Mobile Armors are now playable as already mentioned in the unit list above
- MA movesets are quite similar to Class 3 MS - 4 S-strings with a T charge attack launchable from any parts of the string
- The camera scale is also adjusted when using M As so that Mobile Suits including ace MS will look puny
- Some MS with multiple packs like Strike Gundam can change packs by using certain charge attacks
- For an example in Strike Gundam,
- C2 (ST) - Changes to Aile Strike
- C3 (SST) - Changes to Launcher Strike
- C4 (SSST) - Changes to Sword Strike
- The rest of the certain MS' moveset like S-string and other charge attacks will greatly differ in accordance to the pack equipped
- The basic battle system is still similar to past GW games, however enemy aces will now have their own base areas, making them 'moving bases'
- Map layouts will be more akin to GW 1-2 rather than GW 3's 'interconnected boxes'
- Space maps are returning. They are still 2-axis, but this time they will be made to feel a bit more 3-dimensional
- R3 button can be used to lock the camera to an enemy ace when the prompt is available
- GW 3 gameplay features Emergency Dash & Chain Explosion are also returning; for Chain Explosions, enemies will flash brightly gold before exploding
- It is now also possible to lock on into ace pilots in MS as well, not just enemy M As
Miscellaneous
- The reason why they use Shin instead of 4 comes from Bandai: because since a lot of time has passed since GW 3's 2010, they want to put the efforts into making a huge compilation which is this game
- KOEI's Producer Koinuma also added that the first GW was published around the time PS 3 was just released, and since they're able to continue the series until the next-gen PS 4 will be almost out, this game shall be the best compilation of the current-gen GW games
- Art style is returning to realistic touch like in GW 1-2
- The reason of returning art style is because they couldn't display as much units on screen if using cel-shading, so they went back to real touch in order to be able to show more units
- However with this tendency (of showing more units on screen), framerate drops (60fps->30fps) are going to be expected as with all recent Warriors games
- Visual damages like dirt stain and paint chipping will be reflected
- Explosion effects are also to be made more flashy
- Online play will mostly consist of 2-player co-op
- Offline co-op is also available in splitscreen (PS 3) or ad-hoc (PSV)
- Cross-platform save between PS 3 & PSV are confirmed, co-op play seems to be not cross-platform
- Custom Soundtrack is also confirmed, which allows to set own musics in stages
- There will be Downloadable Contents to be published post-release, the contents are said to be pretty much the same as the prequel

My name is Mikhail! My name is Mikhail! I really LO~VE Zero! Mounted on my back, We fly in the sky TOGE-THER! Yeii!@danna In a nutshell, if you don't like Dynasty Warriors then pass on the game. If you do and can understand Japanese, get it. The game can also be used as a gateway to the Gundam series.
Hyped for Hyperdimension Neptunia V 2Tell me it has the Ex-S Gundam, and I will sell my soul to the devil for it if I have to.

Has he...ever appeared in a Gundam game before?
And meh, I'll still get it anyways, reading the long post, sounds like good fun. I've played a bit of Dynasty Gundam 3 and that was pretty coolio.

The Ex-S Gundam is going be DLC in the Upcoming PS 3 port of Gundam Extreme VS. Full Boost.
Well, given that the difficulty in those gameplay videos is Normal... XP
Long live Cinematech. FC:0259-0435-4987Well, I have the game. Seems to me that Official Mode is the best way to get some playable pilots, but I wonder how we can get to 'swap pilot' this time. I've done both MSG and GUC campaigns, but I've yet to unlock free-piloting for high tier suits. I only got Nemo, Zakutank and Gaza C as playables, which count as mook suits.
Same as usual.... Wing it.I guess I broke the law then. ._.
Though knowing me, I'd just be a heartless jackass and make her pilot the Mass Produced Quebeley exclusively.
Don't PM me. We don't like being PMed.I find it more amusing to use the generic mechs.
I'll give her mech to Puru Two and pretend I am using the Queen Mansa.

Yeah none of those names mean anything to me.
