Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

Gaaaaah, that's not Godfrey's glorious Young Justice voice! It sounds so strange to my poor little ears!
Also, that clearly provides a totally plausible reason for Flash to have a Flashmobile. So he can have sex in it.
I've got fanfics for Frozen, Spectacular Spider-Man, Crash Bandicoot, and Spyro the Dragon.![]()
And the way he invited Green Lantern inside.
There is a flash of an image in the Teaser where someone who may or may not be Evangeline Lilly possessed a bob haircut very much like the one Jan has been sporting for several years in the comics.
"War without fire is like sausages without mustard." - Jean Juvénal des Ursins"Killed off" implies that she would die during the course of the plot. It seems more likely that she's going to be a Posthumous Character.
Also, that was apparently Hope Van Dyne wearing her mother's hairstyle. Or maybe not. We'll see tomorrow.

Well, that one button's function was somewhat suggestive...
It's weird - despite calling himself "The Glorious One", Godfrey just seems to be a regular human television host in this show, albeit kind of a jackass. Perhaps he was in hiding after Darkseid's death?

Oh God! Natural light!
I guess. Still, the idea is intriguing. There's another New Gods plot in there somewhere...
Ant-Man trailer is tomorrow? Dang, I almost forgot.
You know what I want Marvel Studios to do from know on? Get the fight choreographer from WS for all of their films Seriously, that dude deserves a fricken award.
Though I do have one nitpick. During the highway scene where Winter Soldier kills Sitwell and the like, why didn't he just shoot the heroes' car with his grenade launcher?
Also, singling out the informant just before he's about to say something is more dramatic.
If there's anything HYDRA loves, it's drama. And after decades of hiding themselves within SHIELD, unable to express themselves, dammit they're gonna hit every dramatic trope for what it's worth if it kills them. Which, funnily enough, it kind of did.

Star Wars got the guys from The Raid to help with their movie. I wonder...
Given that the car Sitwell et al were in was also in normal traffic, there's also the issue of other drivers.
All your safe space are belong to TrumpThe grenade launcher is a fairly large weapon and reasonably unwieldy while scrunched into a small car. Both Cap and the other drivers on the highway would notice a large man with a metal arm leaning out of his vehicle trying to aim a heavy firearm. It would not be possible to use it inconspicuously, and both highway conditions and the nature of hitting a moving target from a position that is also moving more or less ensure the shot would miss anyway.
Also remember that the projectile appears to magnetize onto the target car rather than simply flying in a straight line. This means it would likely be attracted to the first vehicle it comes near, making it impossible to effectively use on a busy highway anyway.

My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.It would be really easy for HYDRA to kill Nick Fury quietly with no one suspecting anything. But for some reason, they decide to stage a massive shootout.
Is this a Jo Jo reference?I think at that point they were trying to do so as quickly as possible, which is why they started shooting as soon as he left the building.
They knew he knew something was up and probably assumed if they didn't silence him quickly he'd start telling people (which he tried to; he immediately called up Maria and told her to come to D.C.)
Agent Carter airs today! Hayley Atwell FTW!
Anyone think that Tommy Lee Jones might make a small cameo like Nick Fury in Agents?
You are displaying abnormally high compulsions to over-analyze works of fiction and media. Diagnosis: TV Tropes Addiction. Also, possibly late but Hayley Atwell says Agent Carter has connections
to both The First Avenger (OBVIOUSLY) and Ant-Man.

Which Ant Man?
You are displaying abnormally high compulsions to over-analyze works of fiction and media. Diagnosis: TV Tropes Addiction. Not bad.
Still hope we get at least a photo of Pym in the red-and-blue Spandex-y costume. "It was the 60s, leave me alone."
My various fanfics.

Who is the idiot who passed up the opportunity for an Age of Ultron Quicksilver motorcycle?
