Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

And no marginally improved director's cut?
I've got fanfics for Frozen, Spectacular Spider-Man, Crash Bandicoot, and Spyro the Dragon. As long as there are no strobe light fight scenes. I do not like those.
Forever liveblogging the Avengers...Are you serious?
Oh God! Natural light! Most likely they intent to go for a less glum tone overall. I mean the concept that Daredevil can constantly hear people calling for help but isn't able to act on all the calls was compelling, but for a TV show, it would be a constant downer.
Hopefully they also emphasis on the lawyer aspect of the character.
All this talk of how Daredevil will eventually get the red costume, and how literally none of the promotional material shows it...has me worried that they'll be saving it for the very end of the season.
Sure, I know it's too early to tell, and there hasn't been much promotional material, but nevertheless.
As long as it doesn't look too ridiculous or impractical, I don't care about the costume at all. I didn't mind the triangle in the Iron man armour (to be honest, I think it was one of the cooler designs), I liked all of Captain America's costumes, and I certainly don't care what Daredevil will wear. I would vote for a red that is so dark that it looks like black either way.
Since we're talking about costumes: Spider-Woman(Jessica Drew) had her first major re-design in the comics this week.
It's a leather jacket with pants and sunglasses that expand into a mask. Very Civvie Spandex.
"War without fire is like sausages without mustard." - Jean Juvénal des UrsinsI like that it's practical, but that's about it. I prefer the old costume by far. The new one's fine for an adaptation costume, but there isn't really a huge need for Civvie Spandex for the character in the comic medium to me.
