Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

Glad I don't watch Ao S anymore. I have no fucking clue what's going on. I'm gonna assume it's involving X-Men living on the Moon.
I also hope Spidey stays out of the MCU. I like the guy, I just feel he's a tad out-classed with everything else.
AOS is a show that needs more recognition. I used to hate the series, especially those boring-as-sin annoying earlier eps of season 1, but then I marathoned it over a weekend. The end of Season 1 and the entirety Season 2 is rock solid writing, practically on par with Winter Soldier IMHO, and I dare any Marvel fan that has seen season 2 not to enjoy at least some part of it.
You are displaying abnormally high compulsions to over-analyze works of fiction and media. Diagnosis: TV Tropes Addiction.Latino Review is saying the deal is still on the table and that Sony Japan is still really heavily pushing for it to go through, but I'm not sure how they'd be able to include Spider-Man in time if the movie starts shooting this Spring.
And though I'm usually skeptical of the site a lot of their recent MCU stuff has turned out to be true.

I never bothered seeing the second one. The first Amazing Spider-Man movie I felt could be connected to the MU because why else would all those cranes be on broadway unless they were helping to rebuild from the alien attack? While it would be on Sony and Spider-Man to explain how the rest of events have effected him it wouldn't be that hard.
Nitpick!
The earthquake was caused by Skye, not by the Diviner. That's her power.
My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.So, uh...this is new.
In the latest issue of AXIS, Scarlet Witch discovered that her father and brother were working with Doctor Doom, and put a curse on her bloodline. And it only affected Quicksilver.
So it's possible that not only are Wanda and Pietro not Magneto's children, they're not even mutants. And it's probably not a coincidence that this happened less than 24 hours after Marvel introduced the Inhumans to the MCU in a big way.
Thoughts?
x5: Nothing on screen actually indicated that was Skye. If you didn't have the outside knowledge of who Daisy is in the comics, the sequence of events follows the standard "set off alien device in ancient temple, after it goes off things start shaking and falling down." That Skye has earthquake powers is probably supposed to be a big reveal in the next episode, and is effectively spoilers for those who haven't read all the comics.
So, how are Inhumans transformed in this verse? In the comics its a cocoon
◊ that you might burst out of changed. Heard they removed the Mists to make the Inhuman/Mutant replacement easier.

Eh, there are more insurmountable challenges. Before it got deleted in some hacking incident some poor fool tried to read through the entire MLP:Fi M thread and it producing pages faster than they were reading them.
This thread is actually a bit of a cakewalk. Reminds me of the time I read through the whole Doctor Who thread some time ago.
The Blog The ArtLordof Lore, similar concept, except it looks somewhat different, more like lava that congealed around the target's form.
All your safe space are belong to Trump@Wanderlustwarrior, Yeah, that makes sense. That's what I did. I mean I started and quit because it wasn't very good, waited until a month ago to give it it's obligatory "Post-Winter Soldier second chance" and found to have enjoyed it now. Your skepticism and desire to not see it is understandable.
Odds are they'll explains things in the movies on their own terms anyway. At most the show is probably just giving the audience a head start.

That's what I did too, binge-watching the first season. But I really don't rue it. I just dropped Arrow from my watch-list, and since I have the feeling that Flash will go the same way Arrow did, it followed immediately after. Since Gotham didn't convince me, Ao S is now the only Superhero Show I still watch. It is certainly not my favourite show on TV, but it is certainly a good watch. And I am really looking forward to Agent Carter. Did you see the last poster? Love it!!!! With the red hat, they now have given her a signature look.

I think I'll keep on not watching it just to spite you.
