Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

I'm unsure, since like I said, I haven't been keep up on developments of the movie in a while.
Could have sworn I read it somewhere though.
One Strip! One Strip!Given that we've been getting hints that he infiltrates Stark's systems, it's definitely possible that Ultron initially takes over one of Stark's designs before making his own body. Though I think it's more likely we'll get a situation like Earth's Mightiest Heroes' Ultron 5 bit (is that from the comics? It's pretty cool either way), where he pitches all the armors connected to Stark's network at our heroes to distract and/or murderize the Avengers while his actual self is elsewhere doing other stuff.

@Handsome Rob is correct. It was one of the first pieces of info actually revealed about the plot.
Unfortunately, that kind of thinking directly leads to the latest global threat in Avengers: Age of Ultron, and Entertainment Weekly‘s Comic-Con 2014 preview gives you an exclusive First Look at the big, bad robot causing all the grief in next summer’s superhero team-up. The good guys are tired, S.H.I.E.L.D. has been destroyed, and there’s no one else for the planet to turn to when menace looms on the horizon. Everyone wants a break—and that’s exactly how they’re about to be broken. There’s no abdicating heroism.
“What you said about abdication is apt, but I think it’s also about recognizing limitations,” Robert Downey Jr. says. “The downside of self-sacrifice is that if you make it back, you’ve been out there on the spit and you’ve been turned a couple times and you feel a little burned and traumatized.”
For better or worse (trust us, it’s worse), his Tony Stark has devised a plan that won’t require him to put on the Iron Man suit anymore, and should allow Captain America, Thor, Black Widow, Hawkeye, and the Hulk to get some much needed R&R as well. His solution is Ultron, self-aware, self-teaching, artificial intelligence designed to help assess threats, and direct Stark’s Iron Legion of drones to battle evildoers instead.
The only problem? Ultron (played by James Spader through performance-capture technology) lacks the human touch, and his superior intellect quickly determines that life on Earth would go a lot smoother if he just got rid of Public Enemy No. 1: Human beings. “Ultron sees the big picture and he goes, ‘Okay, we need radical change, which will be violent and appalling, in order to make everything better’; he’s not just going ‘Muhaha, soon I’ll rule!’” Whedon says, rubbing his hands together.
“He’s on a mission,” the filmmaker adds, and smiles thinly. “He wants to save us.”

It was revealed in an earlier press statement that "Ultron" was just Stark activating dormant technology. He may have altered it, who knows.
I'm not going to go hunting for that specific statement, though, because I have exams to procrastinate for.
The suits in IM 3 were all destroyed at the end.

Also and just for fun:
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"So I was watching the 2nd Age of Ultron trailer and noticed something, if you go frame by frame from 1:36 to 1:37 you'll notice that something flies right by the Hulkbuster armour, you can ever here it to.
I'm trying to work out what it is, Thor's Hammer?
Edit: Actually I think it might be two things, I think I can see two shadows go past int he background one after another.

Is this a Jo Jo reference?Krysten Ritter is confirmed as Jessica Jones
, while Luke Cage is reportedly being played by Mike Colter.
Terry Crews is more of a comedic actor nowadays, anyway. Plus he's probably busy with Brooklyn Nine-Nine

I was under the impression he'd created a new one to replace Shield as part of the set-up for Age of Ultron.
Am I wrong on this?
