Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

Not really relevant, but it's a cool image of Coulson and Clint, so here's the cover of Secret Avengers #10.
◊
That's obviously an undertrained LMD of Coulson. Firing that pistol while holding it like that is a good way to get a sprained or broken wrist, which the real Coulson would know.
No matter how much they try to make it seem cool, Hawkeye turning archery into a Short-Range Long-Range Weapon won't look more than stupidly impractical. The fact that he was also a swordsman is a cool thing that I'd like to see more of.
After see pulp fiction im surprise nobody make Jules/fury jokes here....or any jokes considering how memetic Samuel L jackson roles are.
And about hawneye...yeah he is overshadow by awsome by the rest of the avenger, is really hard to said "Im an archer" when you battle with a gamma creature and a god
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"^ Well, at one point The Punisher did have a gun that fired little knives, I believe...
I believe he's firing several butterfly knives (i.e knives that fold open to deploy) in a straight line.
"All you Fascists bound to lose."I'm sure it would matter if you had to buy this thing's ammo. Imagine, you order a thousand butterly knives through Amazon, only to realize your gun actually only works through Switchblades! So much money lost, so many Amazon complaint emails...
"All you Fascists bound to lose."I assume the main function of weapons like that is to play amusing jokes on coroners.
Alternatively:
Question: 'Why do you need a switchblade gun?'
Punisher: Because sometimes I want to shank someone who's a really long way away.

Noooo...
Oh well. No humans means we will probably not see Moondragon, Mantis, Jack Flag, the first Quasar, Captain Universe or Vance Astro in the second film/future films if Gunn wants to make Quill into some kind of The Chosen One.
As an aside, these are the former/later members of the Gotg that still have a chance of showing up now not counting humans:
Present Time:
- Adam Warlock
- the second Quasar/Martyr Phyla-Vell
The rest of the former members are humans, they don't own the rights to(Bug) or have already shown up(Cosmo). I don't think they are adding any of the Marvel Now! heroes like Iron Man.Future:
- Martinex
- Starhawk(Aleta and/or Stakar)
- Nikki
- Charlie-27
- Firelord(outside core team)
- Replica(outside core team)
- Talon(outside core team)
The rest are humans.Edit: Gunn seems to want to make a Thunderbolts movie later.
