Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

...I am relatively certain Disney does not own Capcom.
I am still waiting for some talented vid-makers to make some Disney/Marvel Mashups which don't involve frozen....like "Make a man out of you" or the Hair cut score. One could do a great one of "kill the beast", making up a story of General Ross hunting the Hulk and the Avengers coming to his defence....
There is a Captain America "Zero to Hero" tribute somewhere, so your prayers are partially answered.
"All you Fascists bound to lose."Loki and Thanos aren't who you say they are, though.
I'd say Thanos is probably that big bad guy from Power Rangers In Space.
Well, in the Live-Action Movie department, there's still a ton of competitors. Warner Brothers' animation unit isn't the juggernaut it used to be (Dreamworks is Disney's biggest rival there now). TV has more competitors still.
The iffy spot would probably be the Comicbook divisions. Marvel and DC are the two biggest names. Dark Horse and IDW would be the next biggest, but a combined Marvel/DC would be tough to compete against.
And it's more possible than you think. Time Warner's in quite a bit of financial trouble, and at least two competitors have offered buyouts (on of them being 20th Century Fox).

Um...Disney does not own Capcom.
