Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

@Lackofsense, If ANY of those resources were available to me I wouldn't be having a data plan dilemma in the first place. I either use that or the restricted internet of this campus that blocks most streaming sites among other things. We can't just casually leave to go to a Mickey D's, especially this far out in the boonies where the nearest one is a 30 minute drive away and we're not allowed to just walk off.

Nope. They showed the Mind Stone up there with the rest of the Infinity Stones in the Infinity War trailer so I will continue calling the Mind Stone the Mind Stone. And no I'm not having this argument again because it's been done to death.

He really is. There's some naturally creepy about Spader that works so well.

Bringing it up when you know others will object is having the argument.

I know it doesn't make much sense, but that last scene when Ultron says he's got no strings reminds me of Saren. Could just be the general artistic direction techy stuff like Saren's parts, close fitting power armor, and humanoid robots are taking the past several years.

I'm not acting like I'm right LOL I referred to it as the Mind Stone based off it being included in the Infinity trailer. We're all big boys and girls here. People can handle me referring to the Mind Stone as the Mind Stone in an one-off list of observations.
Again, I brought it up as a list of observations which immediately caused someone to single it out and make a sarcastic quip. That ain't on me.
As I said, I'm done arguing about the Mind Stone.

The mind gem may be in the staff. It may not. I'm sure we'll get more information when Age of Ultron comes out. I'm curious as to what they plan to do with Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch. I doubt Quicksilver will be as entertaining as his Days of Future Past counterpart, but I'm intrigued by how they might do Wanda. I hope she isn't played exactly like River Tam.
How do you folks think she'll be played?
Wanda has unfortunately been Flanderized since Avengers Disassembled (where she went crazy and killed Hawkeye) so it seems that's what they're drawing from.
I don't know if it'll be exactly like River Tam but she definitely looks crazy.
I think it's too early to tell what she's gonna be like.
Well, in the comics, Wanda's a very loving, very kindhearted individual who nevertheless has a working knowledge of chaos magic, which she's capable of performing pretty scary things with.
The action-focused nature of the trailers prevent us from seeing any of her personality. Likewise, I'm still wondering if Pietro's gonna be as much of an arrogant prick in this movie as he is in the comics.

Okay, obviously Hawkeye, Pietro, and then Natasha. what was Wanda's role in all that? I looked up the Kooky Quartet to refresh my memory. No Black Widow. My mistake.
And yes, in response to your earlier question, I was not exaggerating when I said that I was about a 30 minute drive from any place with unrestricted wifi and we're not allwoed to just walk off campus.

Sing the song of sixpence that goes burn the witch, we know where you live

Man. Ultron's voice actor is so good.
