Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

If MODOK is not going to turn out like that stupid rumor, and he would in fact show up alongside AIM in the movie, I am happy.
Because I have been saying since forever AIM, as a whole, would make a pretty good archenemy for the Ant-Man cast. Hank Pym and AIM would absolutely make enemies out of each other.
And we can have the fun visual of mad scientists dressed like beekeepers fighting against insect-themed superheroes.
Huh I just now remembered Steve is also a second-generation Irish immigrant.
So its fairly reasonable to believe he himself may have faced some kind of discrimination in the past even if it was nowhere near as bad as the shit other people faced at the same time.
Always something remembering that Steve is Irish.

Amusingly, there are a couple of Easter eggs for The Inventor in Episode 1 of Ms. Marvel, but it's true that he doesn't appear there.
All of this speculation, while interesting, is ultimately self-indulgence until we get some actual information.

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Kamala's drawings during the opening sketch montage show a couple of bird figures, specifically a blink-and-you'll-miss-it illustration of a bird as Captain Marvel is introduced to the Battle of Earth. This also pulls double duty as a riff on "it's a bird, it's a plane, it's Superman".
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Same, it's genuinely one of my most anticipated projects. I was a little bit worried that it was left off the slate, but the showrunner confirmed on Twitter that it's still happening after the presentation and it wouldn't be the first time Feige's said "Yup, here's the whole slate" and then snuck some more stuff in after the fact.
Case in point, at this time three years ago Love and Thunder/Hawkeye were supposed to close out Phase 4, since then we've added three series and a movie.
I did notice that Disney+ got only a few announcements amid the blitz of films, and that gives me hope that we'll see additional seasons of some of the Phase 4 shows announced.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"What we need is Moon Knight season 2.
Also: Blade is so far the one I'm intrigued the most about.

"All you Fascists bound to lose."Admittedly I'm not super familiar with Miles Morales' story in the comic books, but since Peter Parker is still alive and being Spider-Man in the MCU (even if everyone has forgotten about him) it would seem weird for there to be a second Spider-Man at the same time.
If Marvel tries to bring him in as a different character, that will of course provoke outrage from the comics purists, so the only thing I can think of is to have that involve the multiverse. The problem there is that if he's an alternate Spider-Man from another universe, he is by definition not canonical to 616 MCU and thus irrelevant to the main storyline.
I guess they could pull him into this universe if they need to, much like they snagged an alternate Gamora from a different timeline in Endgame, but it feels like cheating at the rules they themselves established. (Not that it's ever held them back before.)
Edit: All this is a long-winded way of saying that if they want Miles, we'll get him, but I'm sure people will find reasons to complain no matter how that happens.

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"
While Miles was originally a Peter Parker replacement many of the newer adaptions such as both of the "Marvel's Spider-Man"s have them coexist and operate as Spider-Man at the same time.

Not enthused about a live action rehash of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.

I did not know that. Thanks for explaining.
I guess for me there is a certain amount of "Spider-Man exhaustion" given that he's now had three different cinematic continuities, much like how some DC fans must be experiencing "Batman exhaustion" given how many times he's been rebooted and how many different actors have played him.

I thought that about No Way Home.
I'm surprised Sony haven't given Emma Stone a blank cheque to play Spider-Gwen though. Given the popularity of the actress and the character.
eta:
no problem. Tbf the younger the Peter Parker the weirder having Miles co-exist with him is. The ps4 version Peter's post-uni research guy, a version where they are both in highschool, or just out(?) in MCU's case sounds more strained.
That said while I'd prefer it be with existing young MCU heroes rather than spider-verse thing, seeing MCU Pete end up the experienced hero shepherding the young ones would be a interesting role reversal.

I feel like MODOK will be the primary threat until the halfway point, where the TVA prunes him.
The legend has returned.
