Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

I've seen ads for it and it just seems like any old generic Netflix thriller.
Disney100 Marathon | DreamWorks MarathonSo we have more info about the plot of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. I don't want to spoil anything for people who hate that, but I feel it's safe to note that Scott Lang's stardom, that we first learned about in Ms. Marvel, is carrying forward into this film. He's become a celebrity since the Battle of Earth and apparently it's going to his head. That should be fun.

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"The Multiverse War was predictable. Everyone keeps talking about Thunderbolts, but I know even less about them than I do about some of the other teams that we're getting, so I can't offer any thoughts on it, but well done I guess.

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"To be clear Thunderbolts had been announced like a month ago. It's just nobody reacted to it, bizarrely enough.
"All you Fascists bound to lose.""Multiverse Saga" is not very surprising but glad to have official confirmation of MCU's current direction - in so much that there is such a thing.
Excited for Secret Wars but it's curious we're getting to it as early as 2025. If the MCU lasts past Phase 6 (and I imagine it will, there's too much money to be made) I wonder what they'll do. Not much higher you can raise the stakes after fate-of-the-multiverse. Not that the MCU needs to keep raising the stakes but that's the trend of the Avengers' series.

...Actually, that's entirely likely here.
Disney100 Marathon | DreamWorks MarathonHuh I just now thought, since we're expanding into shows like Freshman Year that are going to be more do what they want, I'm reminded it be cool if we got like an animated Invaders movie or something.
A feature again taking place in Cap's WWII days but featuring the super science and magic stuff that First Avengers mostly adapted out.
Like Wolverine being a member of the Howling Commandos, Namor fighting alongside Cap as teammates, and Cap's mission into Wakanda where he encountered T'Challa's father/grandfather.
Could be pretty fun especially if they use a pulpy art-style or something.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."

I'm now wondering how long it will take before the comics puts the suit back on Shuri.
And ooof I wonder how long before they kill off T'Challa there too.
