Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

But if it's a small following Disney wouldn't have a problem with ignoring it.
Plus with Iron Fist there has been people asking for Danny to be recast if he comes back.

The problem with Monica's line was.... she was flatout wrong.
I think it was revealed that the townsfolk did feel Wanda's grief. So they understand it just fine. If they thought she was just heartless villain, they would have killed her the second they had the chance. But they just basically banished her from the town.
I think it's more likely that they won't promote them as aggressively. There's definitely still the "I watched everything" in-group mentality, even if the shows are not good and dubiously canon.
And if they bring back Cox/D'Onofrio, someone watching Iron Fist to understand Defenders because Daredevil was in it is still at least not spending that time on HBO Max or Netflix, even if they don't come out as a vocal fan.

Yeah even putting aside the fact that the show has more than five fans, it's part of the Netflix MCU and some people are gonna be curious about the characters showing up in Defenders and Luke Cage, or just want to see the full picture as a matter of principle.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique! The multiverse does allow Marcel to have their cake and eat it regarding Canon - "Oh yeah, that all did happen... Just in a different reality."
And they can reuse the actors without it having to be the exact same version of the characters.
"These 'no-nonsense' solutions of yours just don't hold water in a complex world of jet-powered apes and time travel."Speaking of different realities, people are insisting that they can see Deadpool hiding in the newest poster
for Multiverse of Madness. (Follow the arrows.)
I can't exactly unsee it, but a part of me is worried that this will be that one (in)famous picture
◊ of what looked like the Loch Ness Monster all over again.
If he shows up at all, he will be in the post-credits scene. Because I feel like any appearance he makes would be too much of a Mood Whiplash compared to the dark and serious bits of this movie.
The legend has returned. If he does show up, and part of me is sincerely hoping he does, I hope they go to town with either a Cluster *Bleep*-Bomb, or just have a Precision F-Strike.
You can only write so much in your forum signature. It's not fair that I want to write a piece of writing yet it will cut me off in the midI had previously heard rumors that Deadpool will show up in Thor: Love and Thunder, though him showing up here makes more sense.
Though I also concur that he will likely only show up in The Stinger, if at all.

"I'm Mr. Blue, woah-woah-ooh..."

We've managed to reach a point where character's can just casually cross over into various stories.
Again Old Man Logan is a good example, Logan facing multiple characters from various franchises including an evil version of the Hulk.
And it is somewhat fitting in this case with a focus on interdimensional travel. Its like a story where a character gets stuck in a different universe and they have to face evil versions of their friends.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."
