Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

Like Wright, Lilly's got some amount of lowercase "problematic" views that are only getting hyper-focused on now because she, like Wright, has decided to turn her stupid takes to the literal pandemic. Also like Wright, the takes aren't enough for Lilly to be removed just for them, though Disney is likely to twist her arm to get her to stop though. She'll probably go the traditional apology route though, unlike Wright who had to full-on nuke her socials and ghost.
One of the bigger videos Wright shared was straight-up transphobic and reeked of hotepery
, and to Lilly's credit she hasn't fucked up that bad. Also people are freaking out about Shuri potentially becoming the new Black Panther, whereas no one really cares that much about Wasp (and we're already clearly getting a replacement in Stature).
Maybe Mar-Vell set up some test tube babies and never completed the experiment on account of death
Someone finds the embryos and thaws them, pops them in some surrogates, and that’s how you get Teddy and Phyla and I guessssss Genis if you must

Forever liveblogging the AvengersNobody must do Gensis.
I think Phylla can be aged up. As Drax isn't human in this setting, and Thanos' had been doing his thing for a looooong while, Moondragon can be any age.
Test tube Hulkling works for me, but the alternative of secret child between Yon-rogg and a Skrull Princess is delightfully juicy as an idea. Especially as Yon-Rogg is probably more highly regarded by Kree society than Mar'vell.
As long as Mar'vell has at least one child remain her child I'd be happy, given that in comics Mar'vell shadow on the 616 is very long indeed.
Hulkling is half Kree half Skrull and apparently the Prophesized Chosen King of All Space despite the Skrulls and Kree controlling a relatively incredibly tiny portion of space
He thought he was maybe a Hulk because he was green
Anyway he’s the son of Captain Marvel and the token good Skrull princess.

Forever liveblogging the AvengersI think of the original crop of Young Avengers, only Billy and Stature turned out to actually be related to an Avenger. Although in Billy’s case it was by weird magical retroactive reincarnation.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersSo wait, Hulkling isn't related to the Hulk? That's a pretty big Non-Indicative Name then...
"I'm Mr. Blue, woah-woah-ooh..."Hulkling is quite literally a space refugee so pretending to be related to Hulk is a pretty good false identity.
Ya know in the case of Moondragon they could go more esoteric with her since she is a wizard. Maybe gain a variant of Drax’s original origin where she died but winds up being resurrecting in a different body. Drax at first was just a regular human who got murdered by Thanos and was then brought back to life in the Destroyer body to hunt down Thanos.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."She’s a psychic, I thought
And the rare non mutant psychic
She just trained super hard on Titan and unlocked all of her mental potential, then went mad with power, then realized she liked women, and is pretty mellow now after being eaten by her alternate universe self
Forever liveblogging the AvengersUnpopular opinion: I absolutely hate the Young Avengers and sincerely hope none of them ever gets put on screen
EDIT: Well, technically some of them already were, so silly me.

Like yeah it gets fucking ridiculous but it is a more fun kind of ridiculous compared to Dragon Ball's "Oh no those 2 Godlike beings are gonna destroy the universe if they keep punching each other."
Western superhero comic book weirdness is more. Uh. “Wow that sure is a lot of things that happened to one person in like five years” rather than power level biz
Not that there isn’t power level biz. -coughs in Flash-

Not likely, but they'll probably privately tell her that if she continues to double down they won't back her, she'll also find other groups aside from Disney/Marvel will be less likely to choose her for acting roles if they think she's become a liability to their image
