Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

So it looks like the bright/ colored Strange and Wanda on the teaser poster are our versions of Wanda and Strange. AKA "Good Strange" and "Good Wanda". The others are variants.
The variant Wanda has the Scarlet Witch crown too. The Strange on the right looks like the dark Strange, while the one on the left is probs Defender Strange.
Okey Dokey!Yeah having watched it with the benefit of rewind the tentacle monster looks far more like Shuma than Gargantos. From the pictures I'm looking at, depending on how he's drawn, Shuma can have spikes around his eye. Whereas the only pictures I could find of gargantos don't.
You can only write so much in your forum signature. It's not fair that I want to write a piece of writing yet it will cut me off in the midIt may also be rooted in the fact that the fandom convinced itself Multiverse of Madness would be a direct sequel to WandaVision, following up on the plot points and themes introduced in that show. But WandaVision tells a complete story and there's little to follow up on, so the only way for that to make sense is if it's hyping up Multiverse of Madness's villain.
In actuality, Multiverse of Madness is not WandaVision 2. It's Doctor Strange 2. It's right there in the title. This is his story, first and foremost, with Wanda as a guest star. Which is why I found one moment of the trailer particularly amusing:
- Fandom: This movie will be about Dr. Strange dealing with the fallout of WandaVision! He'll battle Wanda and then duke it out with Mephisto and probably rescue her kids! And the Hex will have unforeseen consequences! And and and—
- Strange: I'm not here to talk about Westview.
I bet you that's the only mention the Hex even gets in the film.
Realistically, the takeaway from WandaVision to Multiverse is probably just going to be that Multiverse builds more on that whole "Wanda is the Scarlet Witch" thing.

My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.Back when the LEGO set got out, someone did some digging and found out that wasn't Shuma, but this guy.
I wonder how far they are going to explore variants, properly just a plot to the story but 5 minutes of just meeting these alternates would be a highlight.
Sincerely S Awatching. Is this the exact same trailer that came after No Way Home or are there some differences?
Disney100 Marathon | DreamWorks MarathonLooking back, you realize that without the events of Loki, none of No Way home or likely the events of Doctor Strange 2 would happen.
Harsher in Hindsight: Aunt May wouldn't have died and Peter wouldn't have made the sacrifece and the doubtless diesters yet to come, would not have happened if Sylvia had set aside her vengeful glorious purpose (I am not raging, it was an amazing way to have the Shows impact the wider MCU, just noting.)

Sincerely S Awatching. How though? The eye ball monster in the trailer has spikes on its eyelid like Shuma does. The creature also has a similar number of limbs as Shuma. Compared to Gargantos who has far more.
Also why use a very minor NAMOR villain for a Dr. Strange movie?
Even the Lego set creature looks more like Shuma. And there's no better picture of Gargantos to use other than that derpy looking one for comparison. This is so lame. The creature is not even at the sea.

One theory that I've seen going around which I like is that Gargantos is a herald of the real Shuma. And so they're doing a composite between Shuma and Gargantos.

Also how long do we keep the new spider-man under spoilers?
Sincerely S Awatching.

She always does keep having accidents, doesn’t she?
Edit: This pagetopper makes it look like I’m talking about a baby.
