Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

Sam Eliott was Ross in the 2003 Hulk movie. MCU Ross is William Hurt.
"All you Fascists bound to lose."There are a lot of laws out there that ultimately never got repealed, but nonetheless stopped mattering because nobody could be arsed to enforce them anymore. I'd guess the Sokovia Accords are probably going that direction. Technically still on the books, but meaning fuck-all.
My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.![]()
Why would you even trust the internet?
What has it ever told you that wasn't full of crap?
One Strip! One Strip!
Fair enough. That is an unarguable truth.
But besides that, the net is a cesspool of lies.
One Strip! One Strip!Secret Invasion was widely seen as a "great premise but pretty squandered". A lot of great events suffer from this.
"All you Fascists bound to lose."A lot of Bendis events could work better as not company wide crossovers
His ideas always feel a bit thin when they’re inflated so much
Forever liveblogging the AvengersOh dear God, yeah. As much as people like to bash the Whedon movie, the comic event is like THE worst event of all times. No exaggeration.

Forever liveblogging the AvengersI think it was his run on Ultimate Spider Man that really made him a big name. I've admittedly haven't read any of it, but everyone says it's pretty much the best stuff to come out of the Ultimate Universe.

Hopefully, it won't be handled as poorly when Sam Elliot inevitably Red Hulks out in the MCU.
