Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

> Ms. Marvel being delayed to late summer 2022
Man, that really sucks. I was looking forward to it a lot.
On another note, NWH is coming out in spring 2022 or something right?
So, let's hang an anchor from the sun... also my TumblrThere's gonna be a six month gap from No Way Home to Multiverse of Madness.
Hopefully that's long enough for me to develop some theories on how the latter movie could show some animosity between Mordo and Wong, to play off the fact that it was actually Chiwetel Ejiofor himself who found Benedict Wong and suggested he try out for the role of Wong.
Okey Dokey!I'll be honest, WandaVision really kept me going during my second semester of my otherwise exhausting sophomore college year. I was super excited for it when I saw trailers for it, and the overall mystery progression of what we got each Friday invested me in it so much. It's not perfect, but that show really came around the right time for me.
I also ended up showing WandaVision to some of my family members who don't really follow the MCU at large, and I was genuinely surprised that they actually loved it and were invested in it the whole time. I mostly wanted to show them the first three episodes just because I thought they'd find them funny, and expected them to drop off afterwards.
"I'm Mr. Blue, woah-woah-ooh..."On lighter updates, Disney+ has a new "Spider-Verse
" selection in their Marvel section. It seems to be a hub for anything that had Spidey in it, even if he's not the main character.
Considering the deal they made earlier this year
, I wouldn't be surprised if today at D+Day they announce the date when Sony movies will be added.
- X-Men: The Animated Series is officially confirmed to be revived with X-Men '97
.
- Furthermore, new logo for She-Hulk
and Ms. Marvel
confirmed for Summer 2022.
- Marvel Studios' Spider-Man: Freshman Year
will be the studios' first animated Spider-Man series.
- Agatha spin-off series confirmed with Agatha: House of the Harkness
.
- Marvel Studios' Marvel Zombies

Okay, time for some unpacking:
- RE: X-Man '97: HOOOOLLLLY BALLS, IT'S REAL! They're actually doing it!

- RE: Marvel Studios' Spider-Man Freshman Year: HOLY PETER TINGLE! A new animated Spider-Man series from Marvel Studios?! I'll bet this wouldn't have been possible if Sony and Marvel didn't kiss and make up in 2019.
And both have the Marvel Studios name? Not sure if this has large implications for X-Man '97 and the MCU. (probably not, but extremely ecstatic)
- And Marvel Zombies?! Watch it be a continuation to the zombies episode in What If...?
Agh, I'm not ready!

GAHHHHH why won't this movie just be a smooth production? I almost want them to just recast both T'Challa and Shuri just so they can get the ball rolling again. (Really awful of me to say, but man this movie has squeezed so much stress into me as it is that it hurts too much.)
Huh. Maybe they read about the internet bellyaching about the (evident) change-up to Kamala's powers? Or maybe just COVID causing reshoots to get tricky?
Man, what did we do to have this pandemic? It's a forking nightmare.
EDIT: Darn pagetopping.
