Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

Let's see, both are big cat themed superheros backed by big cat gods...yeah I can see that.
There is a big difference in that Black Panther's special powers come from a magic plant while White Tiger's special powers come from a magic amulet.

Disgusted, but not surprised"White Tiger" also is a name that sounds like a Bland-Name Product that you'd see on The Simpsons when it parodies Black Panther.
Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them.I don't really like how the What Could Have Been page is now smaller and focusing on scrapped MCU projects and future projects. I understand why but I thought it looked a lot of better prior to the massive trim. I worry that the DCEU What Could Have Been page could be next.
I suggested moving all the WCHB's for each individual Marvel film because the main page was getting ridiculously long and cluttered, and a pain in the ass to navigate. Since most people on this forum agreed with that sentiment, I eventually went through with it.
Honestly, I think it's much better for the trope to be used for the context of each individual film, rather than for the entire MCU at large.

"I'm Mr. Blue, woah-woah-ooh..."Yeah, it's really not wiki protocol to default to a franchise page. A trivia entry should be on the page for the work. If it gets too long it gets its own page, still attached to the work. It makes it easier to navigate, as pointed out.
If someone is up for it the DCEU page can be worked on as well.
Not just Star Wars, but Star Trek too and to balance the duality, I'll work on the DCEU page.

Not that much of a spoiler I suppose; I recall adding a Superman Substitute entry to Ikaris's character folder since the lampshading was in one of the promo materials.

It's kind of odd that we've yet to see hide or hair of a White Tiger project, tbh.
Maybe she's earmarked for when they finally reintroduce the Heroes for Hire characters.
