Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

New Hawkeye Trailer. A couple new scenes, but nothing major that hasn't already been given away by the previous trailers.
I think this one was leaked about a week ago, but now it's out officially.
Also I'm right there with you Kate Bishop, if I was working with an Avenger, I'd be telling everyone too. Including random strangers in the elevator.

I guess they figured they'd already done their Evil Counterpart quota for the Antman movies with Cross.
I think the real question for Clint is where his hearing loss starts. I want to think they'll have it be that all the explosions in Endgame are what did it. He showed no signs of it when, say, that Ultron sentry kamikaze attacked him and Wanda in Age of Ultron, or when Tony fired missiles at him and Wanda during the airport battle in Civil War. But there were way more explosions during Endgame, between Thanos carpet-bombing the Compound at the very start (Clint was caught in the middle of that one), and the later carpet-bombing he ordered when Wanda attacked him.
Okey Dokey!Wanda was originally going to start her fight with Thanos by throwing his own forces at him
, rather than giant chunks of debris.
Have you ever been so mad that you beat a !@#@$$ with another !@#$%!?
Wanda Maximoff has.....though she never got the chance to follow through.
One Strip! One Strip!@Handsome Rob Apparently so, I’m checking his page and I found this bit.
“Black-and-White Insanity: He thinks in binary terms. Stark, as a rich person, is bad. However, during their fight in Thunderbolts, Tony reveals he is, at that point, broke. Since Stark is no longer rich, he's no longer "the enemy", and Ghost stops attacking him.”
Plus these other bits that delve into his general motives.
"Vigilante Man: Ghost destroys corporations or secret groups he deems evil without payment because he feels that the law itself is too corrupt to go after them. Ghost is willing to work with those organization, but plans to destroy them from within.
Well-Intentioned Extremist: Ghost believes that by destroying the government and corporatist structures, the world will be set free."
Okay shit I’m disappointed the movie didn’t use some of this, it’s a pretty cool motivation honestly. Especially since he has apparently received a lot of hidden depths and nobility after his tenure on Thunderbolts making him a fairly well-rounded character.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Ghost being comics-innacurate doesn't bother me nearly as much as Taskmaster because I at least like the MCU version of Ghost on her own merits; she's just a really good antagonist with a lot of personality compared to MCU Taskmaster. Of course, I wouldn't mind seeing a comics-accurate Ghost appear some day.
Anyway, have an alternate take of the final Snap from Endgame:

I do hope Ghost appears in a Thunderbolts movie. A lot of potential for here there.
Plus ya know it be fun to have a female character be the gross freaky little weirdo for once. I really wanna see Hannah John-Kamen just have the time of her life playing a total nutjob.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."I think Agatha would rather make fun of the Thunderbolts than join them.
I also want Ghost to join the Thunderbolts, if only so we find out what happened to her after Infinity War happened. Also, I'm curious to see what Val would say about her. Hannah-John Karmen is also a great actress, and Ghost could use some character development.
"I'm Mr. Blue, woah-woah-ooh..."What flew under the radar? Tell us; don't make us go look.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"I don't see Agatha on a Thunderbolts team. Even putting aside the fact that the only person who know she exists and isn't just a random lady named Agnes is Wanda, she's running in a pretty different circle. She's part of the mystic circle alongside Wanda and Doctor Strange, the other good Thunderbolts candidates are all in the technology/conspiracy circle.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!

No idea if deliberate, but I find it amusing how the comics version of Ghost is basically what Rorschach of Watchmen would be like if he was a leftist instead of a conservative.
While I do like Ghost in the movie, I do think it's too bad that the comics version wasn't followed more closely. Because in light of Scott's Just Like Robin Hood antics against his former employer, a somewhat sympathetic anticorporate terrorist would be a good Evil Counterpart.
